Service was good, wait time, food & drinks... all good. It had been awhile, I just forgot they were there. Placed an order here during Labor Day, my order went through, payment accepted. They were closed, I get it... sometimes we forgot to turn off the app or system, whatever. No response on the phone, Facebook, email. I called the next two days when they were opened, constantly got hung up on. I finally went in, two days later, a girl had headphones on. She was nice & I explained to her the situation, she said she could make it for me now. I told her I was ordering for a family member & then she input the refund & said it'd take time. She was the only one there & I doubt that ServSafe manager certificate (it might have been expired too) wasn't hers. My problem is not with the employee, she did what she could. My issue is the whole ordeal & them not once reaching out after I tried different avenues. If I hadn't gone in, I doubt I would've gotten a refund. Go down Broad, there are better customer focused establishments that deserve your business.

The business charges an extra $2.50 for maybe a tablespoon of gluten-free granola, but doesn't adjust pricing if ingredients are removed or unavailable. I understand most businesses don't do this but it sometimes evens out when items are removed and unavailable. For example, I was told after ordering that they were out of coconut, which was supposed to come on my item. I was asked if that was okay, but realistically, what's the alternative in that moment? It just felt like another instance of paying for something I didn't receive. At one point, the employee preparing our order walked past us multiple times without acknowledgment to speak with her coworker, which added to the overall feeling of being ignored. A place inspired by Hawaiian culture should carry some sense of "aloha", warmth, welcome, and care. Unfortunately, that was completely missing here. We won't be returning, and that's disappointing because the concept has so much potential.

So it's a little pricey than a salad you'll get somewhere else but you also are customizing it. The only thing I always notice though is the staff always look like they don't wanna be there. They usually aren't very welcoming as well. Today one of the staff members was eating close to the line. Do they not get a lunch break? My husband saw one of the staff members eating bread, a small bowl of noodles and a drink by the register. Idk that just looked off to me. Anywho, The salads are a little pricey but they are also pretty big portions even if you're getting a small.
