I'd like to thank that barista for hiding out in the back because I never would have found Peaberry...where the roast is smooth and the syrups are house made. My vanilla latte was a delight, neither too sweet nor too unsweet. Lattes came in plastic cups with custom art so cute it almost made me want keep them and completely forget I'm a minimalist by nature. I decided to throw in a burrito because "no coffee before breakie" is a rule to live by. When they pulled a premade burrito out of the fridge, I expected something McDonald's-like, but NO! When I reached out to corporate, I was told the charge was valid because I asked for a "cold pour." I never asked for a cold pour I simply asked for no ice. If requesting no ice results in an additional charge, that should be clearly communicated at the time of ordering. Customers deserve the opportunity to decide whether they want to keep the ice or pay extra. Transparency matters. I am a frequent Dutch Bros customer, which makes this even more disappointing. It's not about the $1.39 it's about not being informed upfront. I hope management reviews this policy and ensures employees clearly communicate any additional charges moving forward.
