Such a hit or miss location. Half of the time my wrap isn't even made with the correct ingredients, they almost always leave out the jerk sauce. I always have issues when picking up. I have to wait quite a while before I can catch someone's attention, which seems crazy to me since you actually pick the time it's supposed to be picked up. The past two times I've been in there to pick up my order, one of them being very recently the girl gave me only half of my order then walked away and left me standing there trying to get her attention until someone else noticed me. The smell when you walk in the door smell like mold. The smoothie don't it even taste like it's supposed to it taste like just frozen ice. The lady didn't even wear no gloves she grabbed the ingredients with her bare hands and blended it up. She didn't wash her hands before hand either so nasty. I'm upset with the poor service with curbside, I ordered around 6:15pm and it said it would be ready at 6:29pm. I waited a bit longer just to be considerate because it could have been busy. My fiancé goes in for me and he said my smoothie had been sitting on the counter the whole time he was waiting to be serviced so he had the smoothie remade since it was clearly melted down. This is the 3rd time this has happened. The other 2 times I had my sleeping baby in the car and didn't want to take him out. So I had to call the store both times and I was given attitude both times. Title: Disappointing Curbside Experience I recently visited this location which I normally do when visiting my wife who works at the hospital specifically because it's one of the few that offer curbside pickup and had high hopes for a smooth curbside pickup due to another conflict in October when I showed the employee and informed her that this location does offer curbside, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. After placing my order, I waited for my food to be ready at the designated time. However, when I arrived, my order had not hit the ready by time and I waited and heated up some milk to start feeding the baby. After feeding the baby and not an employee brining the food out I headed inside and noticed the food was left sitting on the counter for a full 18 minutes part my ready time. To make matters worse, when I finally managed to get my baby out of the car seat and went inside to collect my order, I noticed both employees were browsing on their phones. It felt like they were not prioritizing their curbside service and that it was not taken seriously as part of their responsibilities Curbside pickup is supposed to be convenient, especially for parents with young children, and this experience was anything but that. I hope they can improve their service in the future, as I would love to enjoy their smoothies without the added stress. read more

My first time ever coming to a tropical smoothie. Tried the NEW CAPRESE GRILLED CHEESE. fresh mozzarella, parmesan, white American cheese, fresh tomatoes, pesto and balsamic glaze on toasted sourdough. Served with a side. And ordered these chips and chocolate chip cookie. Had to wait a while for my food. Cashier gentleman got on the employees case for taking to long making my order. He asked what order she was working on now she said something and he sounded upset asking her where my order was? I guess she got the person in front of me and wasn't really working on mine and she started working on the person behind me. So wait time sucked. Tried the cookie, says it's made with Ghirardelli. I asked if they would heat it up for me and answer was we used to make the cookies and have them heated up and all but not anymore. So he couldn't heat up my $2.88 cookie up for me? That sucked. Ate all of it sandwich chips then cookie. And I must say I'll never be back. Was not impressed at all. Sandwich was just blah, and cookie was gross. Chips were chips. I stopped in for a smoothie around 8:30pm. The place was completely empty and the cashier was cleaning the floors. This was my first time at this location and I decided to get your run of the mill strawberry pineapple smoothie. $5.00 later....I left the store and began slurping away. I really thought that it was overpriced but at least it was fresh.....at least, I saw her make it in the blender. As for the taste, it definitely left something to be desired. I was very happy when this store opened in Culpeper. The smoothies are always done right (imo) and friendly service. The only drawback is when this place is busy, like 5+ customers in the line, it can take a while to get your order. Especially if there's only one person in the back making the drinks, one doing the hot foods and one cashier. If they had more help I think the orders could have taken less time to be brought out. Not happy with their ap or curbside pickup. Their ap is not user friendly because it changes location on you without you realizing it. This resulted in me paying for an order in Fredericksburg and not getting food in Culpeper for which the Culpeper location basically told me "tough luck" they couldn't change it to fix it for me so I just left without food. Also when you arrange for a pickup time from their ap you have to call them when you arrive or go inside because they're not watching the time for them to bring you your curbside order. Kinda defeats the purpose of the ap. Also, they don't pay attention to ap orders AT ALL and currently I'm still sitting in my car waiting for my order that was supposed to be ready 20 minutes ago. I went in and my order was sitting on some shelf that was forgotten about so now it's cold. Terrible management at this location. They have no systems in place for ap orders nor are organized in handling ap/curbside orders. They should disable this option at the Culpeper location because they cannot handle it and are passing people off. Very displeased. DO NOT USE THEIR AP!! You'll be left sitting in your car being told "it's coming" while it's actually sitting on a shelf. Horrible. Not even an apology, so apparently this is just how they do things there. read more

I went inside and I had to wait another five minutes for the girl to attend me l. while she went out back outside without my food that was sitting on the counter for as long as i had walked in. she then told me that she had to take care of another more important customer that had been waiting for literally the same amount of time that I had. so i spent about 30 minutes waiting on 2 items. disappointing really. read more

I came in with my grandma and the employee who helped us was very nice. He made lots of great suggestions when we had questions about the menu. I wanted my grandma to try adding greens to her smoothie, telling her it wouldn't taste any different but she is a little stubborn so she said no! My son and I have never heard of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but decided to go in anyway. I was hungry, but not starving and wanted something to tie me over until dinner. My son and I ordered the Smoothie and a Half, which is a smoothie of your choice with a small sandwich (a selection of about 6). I sat down and expected my wait to be about ten minutes or more. Within 2 minutes, the young lady brought our smoothies to our table. First of all, the smoothies were HUGE. I couldn't believe it. Within another 2 minutes, our sandwiches were ready as well. We ordered our food to go, but the smoothies and sandwiches were delicious. Not only were they tasty (maybe even better than Dairy Queen), but filling. Our snack ended up being our dinner and kept us satisfied all night. My only issue is that there are no Tropical Smoothie Cafes near my home. read more

This location needs to train there employees on fast friendly service. Not to be aloud to stand around and talk to the one person making the food. My wrap was pulled out of the oven and sat on top while i was clearly standing there waiting for it when one of the two people could have wrapped it for me while the other was making another order. Then the person making the food walks out and says he made my wrap incorrectly would i be ok with it or do i want to wait while he makes me another. No I wasn't happy with waiting even longer. Because he still goes in the back and doesn't wrap my wrap up and serve me with it he continues to make the food from the order behind me. Why doesn't the owner of this company train the employees to help the others out instead of standing around talking. The Fredericksburg VA location could train these employees they are fast and friendly and I have seen them help others out.
