For my first visit, my review is a solid 3. The line of people on Sunday was nearly out the door. They were very busy. Mostly with what looked like to go orders but a lot of people to be seated as well. Also Frank's is Breakfast all day! -I dont stop for a lot of breakfast usually, unless they have chipped beef gravy. Otherwise I cook my own breakfast and go out for lunch or dinner. I saw Frank's on Yelp and it happened that I was right across the road. Off I went. - After being seated I ordered coffee. Then a couple min later, I ordered my food. They had sausage gravy and country gravy. Just to be sure, I asked the difference. Country gravy is sausage gravy without the sausage. I ordered the Country gravy with biscuits. Comes with two eggs and fried potatoes. When the dish was set in front of me I noticed right away it was sausage gravy. I don't like sausage but I didn't say anything. I just picked most of it out. Scrambled eggs could have used about 40 more seconds in the pan. Slightly runny Scrambled eggs. Potatoes were ok. An associate of Frank's came over and asked me how everything was. It would be easy to say everything is good then write a poor review, but I didn't do that. It was hard but I did advise the mistake with my gravy order and I did advise the eggs were rather runny. I told him I know this place was so so busy and they're new in town. I'm sure the kitchen was barely holding on. I'd like to come again. They have breakfast all day and a lunch menu. My order was under $11. Yes, Sir!.. Go give them a try. Be patient. And dress light. I didn't feel any air conditioning. It was hot, crowded, and crazy busy.

Chicken tenders and fries. Honey mustard, ranch dressing. Then a waffle with scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and home fries.

Wow! It was my boyfriend and I's first time trying this place and it was wonderful. The servers were attentive and the place was clean. I ordered the chicken tenders because I saw someone else order them and they looked awesome. She warned me it takes a bit longer to cook because they're home made and made to order. No issue there. Everything was served hot and was very fresh. Everything was well flavored and seasoned. Will definitely be a place we will frequent.

Great food, great service and fast friendly staff. Past reviews of less than 5 stars are wrong.

Small quaint restaurant. Met the owner and she gave us some history on the restaurant. If you go in…read moredef ask about it, it's a neat story. The best waffle (Addie's Fav) I have ever had. I would've never thought to put peanut butter in the combo but it was delicious. That particular waffle is an authentic Belgian waffle. My husband got the Sammie and said it was delicious. Do t be afraid to try some of their unique items. Friendly, clean, and a must to try! We were traveling through but would love to stop again.

We were visiting Staunton and wanted to take advantage of the wonderful food scene. We decided on…read moreSweet Addie's because it was a local place with an eclectic waffle based menu. When we walked it we were overwhelmed with choices. The menu takes up an entire wall and there are sweet, savory and traditional meals to choose from. I'm sure no matter what your preference is, you will find something that meets your palate here. We chose the chorizo, egg and avocado waffle and my wife had the wiskets (waffle+biscuits) and gravy. So this is where things started to become a little disappointing. The staff pointed us to an electronic kiosk to take our order, take a pager, and pay. Oh of course we were asked for a tip. (More on this later) We took a table and waited for our pager. We found silver and napkins at the service counter and wrangled those. When the pager went off, we went up to the counter and retrieved our food. So...the food was really well presented and designed for the Gram. It was tepid at best, and unfortunately, not really flavorful. The waffle was soggy, with more of the consistency of a pancake than a waffle. My wife had the wiskets and I'm not sure if the staff has ever had sausage gravy before, but they may want to try a different formulation. When we finished, we found the Dishroom where we needed to scrape and bus our plates. So if I have to ring up the transaction, seat myself, wait on myself and bus the tables, what am I tipping for? Maybe I'm just salty because we were very near $40 for a mediocre breakfast for two, but the tipping thing just feels a bit tone deaf.

I visited Southern Style Chicken & Waffles in Fredericksburg with my father and granddaughter. The…read morerestaurant is on ground level, but the front door is heavy, which could be difficult for anyone using a wheelchair, walker, or cane. The same can be said for the bathroom door. However, it is very clean and well‑stocked. No baby changing table. The counter is right in the front as you walk in. We arrived around 4:30 PM, the place was empty, but by the time we left at 6:05 PM, four or five customers had come in, all ordering takeout. Two employees were working. Both were friendly and smiling, but service is strictly counter‑based. Restaurant seating is limited, 10 tables total. Drinks are refrigerated bottles and cans; there's no fountain drinks, cups, or ice. I personally found this very strange. The food is the highlight of Southern Style Chicken & Waffles . The chicken is served piping hot, and the fries are perfectly crispy. One important note: you can't order mixed chicken. It's either white meat or dark meat, so I had to order both platters and my father and I switched chicken around to get what we wanted. Meals come with one side, and extras are $4.99 each. Chicken orders start at three pieces, no smaller portions available. As for sides, the mac & cheese wasn't my favorite, though other's , including the guy, selling it, seemed to think it was great. My dad found the coleslaw just "so‑so" and said he would not order it again. Ratings: * Chicken: A+ * French fries: A+ * Mac & cheese: B‑ * Coleslaw: C+ Overall, the chicken and fries are excellent, and I plan to return to try their catfish, whiting and waffles, which I've heard are all very good. I gave it a four because of the lack of ice and cups and also due to the difficulty getting into the Restaraunt and the bathroom for those with mobility issues.

This restaurant is known for their waffles, obviously lol. Their menu features over 15 different waffle flavors. I ordered the cinnamon sugar waffle and my friend ordered the bacon egg and cheese waffle. I enjoyed my waffle. It was fluffy and not overly sweet. My only distaste was that some melted butter would complete the palette. My friend did not enjoy his order. He said that the waffle became soggy from the cheese and the grease from the bacon. He said that a corn waffle would be a better suit for the sandwich. -Customer service was friendly. -Free parking in front. -Reasonable prices. -No indoor seating. Take out only. I'll be back to try their other waffle flavors. Hope you enjoy!

Ordered the strawberry, banana and Nutella waffles and also strawberry, banana and biscoff. Both were very delicious. The waffle is a bit doughier than the traditional Belgian waffle cousin but it had a really nice crunch on the edges. I'm a huge fan of texture so this was right up my alley. The portions for one order is a lot- so you get your moneys worth! There is no indoor seating here so your order will be to go... eaten at home or in the car (like us).
