Stopped in to the 4C's for breakfast. After looking over the menu, I ordered the Sausage Gravy & Biscuits, with two eggs over easy, corned beef hash, and hash browns, plus coffee and water. Food came out in short order. The Sausage gravy was a white, almost flavorless gravy. You could see bits of sausage in the gravy, but it sure did not taste like anything. It was very underseasoned. I added salt, pepper, and hot sauce to impart some flavor to it. The eggs, corned beef hash, and hashbrowns were cooked properly. The corned beef hash is of the canned variety, but it was crisped up nicely. And the hash browns were crispy. I added a bit of salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns, and hot sauce on the corned beef hash. If I had not tried the Sausage gravy and biscuits - this would have been a 4 or 5 star review. This place is wonderful! The Peruvian food was better than anticipated, especially since we don't regularly eat Peruvian cuisine. Our server, Luis, was super polite. Peruvian restaurant located in Culpepper, VA serving a variety of Peruvian dishes along with typical American cuisine. The restaurant also has a coffee bar featuring freshly ground and brewed coffee specialties. Our party ordered Peruvian dishes featuring chicken and beef which were perfectly prepared and a welcome change for our palates. After all that, one can visit their pastry section or indulge on ice cream from their ice cream box. The owners Louis and Marie are engaging and Louis took a goodly amount of time chatting with us about Peru, their culture, food and lifestyles of the people who live there. Overall this spot is an interesting adventure in learning about cultural food but a history lesson as well. The ambience is quiet, and decor no frills modern dining furniture. Prices are reasonable. There are a lot of excellent menu options and competitive pricing! Our party tried a little of everything for breakfast (omelettes, eggs meat and bread, French toast, waffles) and enjoyed it all. We loved the variety of coffee flavor options! I had a delicious SF amaretto latte and my sister enjoyed the almond cappuccino. Service is so kind but a little slow if you're in a rush and need to consider that on a lunch hour or something. Will be back to try dinner! read more

What totally amazes me is that I haven't reviewed this restaurant before - and have gone for a few years! Honestly don't know what 4C represents, but they do all meals. Breakfast 'ends' at 1100, but is available all day. Good assortment; I've had the country style and the normal bacon/eggs. Will try something new. As to lunch/dinner.... A good into to Peruvian cuisine. My (previous) favorite was a tuna fish cake cooked inside a fried potato cake. I can never remember the name . Today, I brought my daughter for lunch. She had chicken strips with fries. I tried some fries, just the way I like them. For my meal, I tried the seafood medley. I may have a new favorite . Shrimp, mussels, 1 scallop , done with a nice, light sauce. Wow. The style of the place is casual, many locals come for breakfast and coffee. There's also a coffee bar and an ice cream area. Makes sense as it's located across the street from the movie theatre. This is representative of the Culpeper food scene: mostly casual, small assortment of world cuisine (more coming - hoping for Korean). And all our food trucks . My wife and I went to this restaurant for breakfast and we were looking for a great experience based upon the reviews I read, however, I can only say it was fair. We ordered eggs easy over and we received them over HARD. My wife's was so bad she sent it back and she did get it back easy over. The coffee was lukewarm warm at best and the scrapple was only grilled on one side and could have been crispier. Other than that, the service was great and the ambience was ok. read more

We decided to come here for breakfast since they opened early. Service was very fast and friendly and the ambiance felt like a diner, loud but welcoming. One person in our group got the steak and eggs, another the wahoo breakfast with pancakes, bacon and eggs and the other got the chipped beef gravy and biscuits with a side of grits. Nothing was that great. The grits almost tasted like coconut milk and were bland. They had no butter, only spread (this right here was a bad sign, any restaurant that thinks margarine is butter is a huge NO in my book) the steak was fatty, the pancakes gritty, the chipped beef gravy had no flavor and resembled wall paper paste. We've never been here for dinner and I've heard their Peruvian chicken is good but based on this breakfast (a meal that is usually impossible to screw up) I'm not sure I'm up to trying this place again. Grill 309 and Flavor on Main are way better for breakfast. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because they were friendly. read more

This place doesn't look like much, but it's hard to beat the value for the price! The prices are low but the food is pretty decent. My dad got the Peruvian spaghetti (didn't know that was a thing) and it was great! I got the veggie omelette - it was just a standard omelette but I can't think of anywhere else that I can get a 3 egg omelette for $6. Patrick the waiter is great - very funny! read more

We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it is my new favorite breakfast place. The country fried steak was amazing and the crust was phenomenal. My husband had a chorizo breakfast fajita thing and he said it was very very good. I can't wait to go back and try other things on their menu and I even took pictures of the dinner menu so I could go back for dinner as well. The service was a little slow and confusing but the food more than made up for it. We will be back soon! read more

This restaurant was amazing! I was higher than Snoop Dogg on a Monday morning a few hours before I came here. I then proceeded to order a nice plate of pancakes and boy was that bussin! The orange juice that I received was brilliant! This is the perfect place to drown yourself in the goodness of their pancakes and slip away from the depressing reality we live in. Only reason not a 5 star is that they need more servers. Owners are great, very accommodating, food is very good with a wide variety of choices. They have Hershey ice cream also. One server for a restaurant this size doesn't work. Never got one of the things I ordered and way too long of a wait. read more

4C's must stand for Can't Cook Chicken Correctly. The food was horrible. Got a meal to go. When I opened the box at home the smell was horrible. The chicken smelled like fish. Took a few bites then right into the trash can it went. That was the first and last time I will go there. I went here for the first time today with my sister & parents. My parents come here every now & then, but it was my first time. I had a sweet tea with a steak & cheese sub. The tea was great & the glasses are a really good size. The sub was very good - I subbed fries for the chips it was supposed to come with. My mom's order came out wrong, but it was an easy fix (she asked for it plain, they put everything on it - she picked it off). They also forgot her fries, & it did take like 10 minutes, but they brought them out to her. For 4 of us, it was $36 for lunch. Not too shabby! read more

Driving through this beautiful old school town of Culpepper Virginia we decided to stop for breakfast. This place had the right look and appeal of and old town diner. We walked in and the place was half full. It was moderately busy and had 3 waitresses and 2 waiters. No one seemed overwhelmed. Right from the start the experience was less than perfect. It took the waitress 10 minutes just to ask us what we wanted to drink, then an additional 10 minutes to take our order.( Keep track, we are up to 20 min just to order.) When my wife asked if the sausage gravy was made at the diner, her answer was "I have no idea". 10 more minutes pass, the waitress returns and asks me if I want a biscuit or toast. I was dumbfounded. Although we were in absolutely no rush, the clock was still ticking. So now at about the 40 min mark, the waitress returns with check in hand and asked if we wanted anything else. I said yes, how bout our food. She was oblivious! At that point I'm ready to walk out, but my wife reminds me we are in no rush. Another 15 minutes pass and our food starts to arrive. Of course the order is wrong. I am now totally frustrated with this place and just eat so we can get the heck out of there? We get the check and leave. This place is awful. The food is average at best and the sevice is terrible. I could understand if it were busy, but it was half empty and 5 servers. If I could give this a minus rating I would. read more

Our waitress brought our drinks out soon after, with a smile. There were locals in there having breakfast as well. The food was good, as well as the coffee. The prices are reasonable. Love this restaurant! Great food - have never had a bad meal from here! People are friendly and great family owned, local business. Wonderful Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken and other Peruvian dishes. Full service American Diner food as well - anything from pasta to Burgers to a fabulous Reuben sandwich. Something for everyone and in a clean and airy atmosphere.
