I didn't mind that at all. Because once the music went quiet, I could hear the butt smacks in my next door rooms.:( so where I would have given a 1 star the first night, I will give a 2.8 overall. The funeral didn't take as long as we thought and they accommodated the entire party of over 50 people 30 min early. He also had extra food we didn't order (pizzas that were amazing) ready to go when we walked in. I appreciated the extra touches, the extra cannolis you sent us home with and the wonderful and dedicated staff. The pricing was very reasonable and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. I thought, "How does McDonald's stay in business with competition like that?" So, I ordered the special, and was told by the staff that it was a family-owned restaurant, another good sign. The first thing I noticed was the roll. You cannot have a good cheesesteak without steak and cheese - everyone knows that. But what most people outside of the Philadelphia area seem to forget is that it is a sandwich, and as such, the quality and type of bread or roll plays a major role (pun intended) in the dining experience. The roll was fresh, and flavorful. I was told that it came from a bakery multiple times a week to ensure quality and freshness. The meat, cheese and peppers were generous, and expertly prepared. It was delicious. However, just as good as the sandwich were the fries. They were perfectly cut, seasoned, and fried. Not greasy, not dry. Perfect. I could make a meal out of the fries alone! And of course, no matter the meal, if the hosts are not amiable, and helpful, the experience will be disappointing. The owner, staff and even my fellow diners were to a soul extremely friendly. It was like having a family meal, in a town I never visited before. I might just have to take another hour and a half drive. I think that I hear a Pizza Steak calling my name.

Two lemon slices (one for the ice water, one for the fish) accompanied my meal. The meal left me feeling full, satisfied and satiated and I wont hesitate to return again in the near future. Their breakfast menu was very reasonably priced and my colleagues fried eggs, french toast and grits looked delicious. Excellent portion sizes at very reasonable and affordable prices. A pauper could dine like a prince at Frank's Diner! The diner itself is tastefully appointed and was not overly loud, despite being at above 50% capacity. My wife's carne was pretty good as well. The only knock, why would you put a pickled jalapeño and not a grilled? Also, nobody offered me any damned ice cream...they could probably tell from my clean plate, that it was not needed.
