We had to ask for silverware, plates, and napkins. We placed drink orders and an entree order as soon as we sat as one in the party hadn't eaten.... Fifteen mins later we put orders in for appetizer and everything was just slow. I'm just now posting this as it was stuck in my draft box from last year... maybe it's gotten better but who knows; we'll skip it if we're in the area again.

So much so, we had 3 different waitresses asking for our order once already ordered. 3 waitresses asking do we need anything else. 3 waitresses asking if we're good. After we paid, another waitress came over and asked us if we were ready to pay. We dismissed the confusion and waved off all the drama but really, though, every waitress who addressed us everytime, was a Lot, all of those women, everytime, had smiles on their faces and were happy that we were good to go. However, in the years since the pandemic, I can't help but feel like the quality of the food's gone down. I'm not sure if the recipe's changed or if they're using different ingredients - but it's just not that good anymore. I recently got the chicken hibachi for their lunch special and immediately, one of the things I first noticed was just how rubbery the chicken pieces were. They also tasted off and not even the yum yum sauce (which I'm pretty sure is different from the one they used to have) could save the taste. They also have a different mushroom soup now that has a lot more spice in it and the taste doesn't match with how it used to be. That being said, I will say that my wife has always enjoyed their sushi here and has never had a complaint on that. Also - the staff here have always been super kind and attentive. We've never had a single issue with the folks that work here. I can't speak of the atmosphere or state of the restaurant since I haven't dined here since 2013. Osaka's is also another staple of Culpeper and frankly - tastes better than Dragon Chef in my opinion. I just wish my recent experiences were as good as my old ones. If nothing else, the staff here are amazing and their sushi is worth coming back here for again and again. Best pricing for their lunch specials!

This includes pre-made breakfast sammiches. Most of the rest of the hot breakfast foods are pre-made and kept hot in a warmer - kind of like a buffet. I ordered the breakfast platter - which includes 2 eggs, choice of meat, choice of breakfast potato, and choice of bread. I opted for bacon, hash browns, and one biscuit with sausage gravy. There are 3 tables to eat it - otherwise you are taking the food to go. The sausage gravy was pretty good for a convenience store - and better than most diners around the Culpeper area. The bacon was also delicious. The two things I will ding them on food-wise is - the hash browns were not as hot and crispy as they should be - and the eggs are pre-cooked. They tasted fine, but they are cooked all the way through - no runny yolks. I ate in - added a bit of black pepper and hot sauce to the sausage gravy and wolfed it all down. If I were only rating this on the eggs and hash browns - it would have been a 3 star rating. But the sausage gravy and bacon dragged the score up to a 4. Service was prompt.
