My last review from 2009 was definitely not due to just "a bad night", because we tried again on Sat., 11/9, which was "National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day", & this time was worse than last. Frankly, the two stars are only for the mac & cheese, which was decent. Placed our order online for husband to pick up. Ordered their current special "Honey Pepper Pimento Sandwich w/ Spicy Filet" ($7.39!), "Spicy Deluxe Sandwich w/ Pepper Jack" ($6.39), "Large Chick-fil-A Waffle Potato Fries" ($2.99), & "Large Mac & Cheese" ($8.15). Both sandwiches were AWFUL!!! They were both salt bombs disguised as chicken & far too on the dry side. We honestly could barely finish them. Fries were "meh". The only good things were the mac & cheese & the fact that they got our order correct. (Last time we ordered from there we discovered only after we'd gotten home that they'd slipped a bottle of one of their sauces into our bag & charged us for it! We still haven't bothered to use it.) Bottom Line: For a total of $27.74, you can have Chick-fil-A. I will continue to NEVER understand the long lines + all the fans. While I always say that all food is a matter of personal preference, these folks must all have rather odd tastebuds + an absolutely incredible salt tolerance. No more for me - Popeye's it is from now on. read more

This review will fall on deaf ears as no matter what I or anyone else says chick fila will stay busy every single day. This location is super inefficient. There is no excuse, with a crew of at least 15 or more, it should take this long for an order. Went thru drive thru around 830 on a Wednesday. Waited over 15 minutes. Counted approximately 20 drinks pre- prepared on the drive thru counter. By the time my food was ready, the two milk shakes were melted from sitting out so long. Condiments and napkins were stuffed on top of the waffle fries taking up almost half the container. They and other locations do this on purpose to justify not filling the container all the way to save money and short change drive thru customers because they know by the time you realize you were f-ed in the drive thru, you're home or already too far away to return. Check other reviews and you will see the exact same thing has been done for years and years. I would love to be part of a class action law suit regarding all the fries we have been shorted LOL read more

First and last time at chick-fil-a at this location. Drive thru order seemed to go smooth. Not super busy, but odd that the attendant didn't repeat the order and neither did anyone along the route or at the weird pick up spot. Weird because they use two lines at the window and then do random out of order car run style. No rhyme or reason as several cars after us got food before us. That was our second clue. They bring out our order and several things we're wrong. One of the meals was supposed to be a large, they were both medium. No straw for the kids meal drink. The no tomato on one meal turned out to be rung up as tomato+ (extra). The grilled chicken sandwich was colder than room temp. After a nice day spent in Shenandoah National Park - on the way home stopped in Culpeper, VA to hit the Chick-fil-A. Had something different this time. I always get the nuggets. This time I went for a chicken sandwich combo meal - comes with waffle fries and a drink. I went with the caffeine free Diet Coke. I was expecting the sandwich to have toppings, based on the pictures on the menu board. Turns out I should have ordered the deluxe combo if I wanted the trimmings. Oh well, sandwich was still good. While the service at this location is fine, I constantly receive mediocre food. Fry boxes are never full and today this is the worst it has been. The Culpeper location has to be the most poorly managed Chick-fil-A I've ever been to. Someone in a mini-bus placed a large order and rather than having them go park until their order was ready, they kept them in line. I sat for over 20 minutes trapped a few cars behind this mini-bus waiting for their order to be filled while the other line was just cruising through. The food isn't great and it costs way too much, the wait times are fairly long, and the upbeat "greet them with a smile" service doesn't really make up for it either. I bought a small super foods salad once for $8, and was greeted with a container the size of a letter block, approximately 2"x2"x2". To put that into perspective, about the size of a tangerine or clementine. I audibly laughed when I saw the container. You can buy an entire head of lettuce for under $1 if you're thrifty. That should be evidence enough the cost doesn't make sense. The food is okay, but I really don't think it is worth wasting your money. Get creative, make your own fun meals for the family on a budget. Keep the chick-fil-a bags and tell your kids you got it from there. They won't know the difference, and TRUST ME they will be healthier if you make their food instead of a chain restaurant that fries everything. read more

We eat here All. The. Time. The service is always great. They always get our order correct. The food is great more times than it's not. There have been a few times using the drive-thru the nuggets have tasted microwaved and fries have been soggy. There's also some inconsistency in the thickness of the shakes...but they always taste good. If your first visit happens to be on one of these "off times" it's very unfortunate because their food is usually as good as fast food gets! Our favorites are the mini breakfast sandwiches, chicken nuggets/strips & of course, the original chicken sandwich. Love the waffle fries & shakes. We ate inside for the second time in a year or so. This was my first Chick-fil-A experience. My boyfriend and I were driving from DC to Charlottesville along the 29 was looking for some food. If you've ever done the drive, there's a stretch where there's not so much to eat. I was starving, so we pull up and decided on Chick-fil-A (the Five Guys wasn't open yet). Alas, it was that awkward time where they stopped serving breakfast (10:30am) and before a proper lunch. I had 3 chicken strips. They tasted a little artificially sweet, but I was happy they had buttermilk ranch dressing. For sure, the strips at JITB are better. However, my man had their deluxe chicken sandwich. I must say, as these types of sandwiches go, it was pretty good. Fries tasted like potatoes (even if on the lite side), and could've used more salt. Overall, there is better fast food to be had, but there is much worse to be had, too. read more
