I aged yet another year this past Thursday (one year older, but not another year wiser, healthier, or wealthier - lol), & since the pandemic nixed us going out for a nice fancy birthday meal, & since I had a hankering for my favorite "Bleu Cheese & Grilled Onion Burger" from Glory Days, placed an order which dear husband picked up & brought home. Now I've been enjoying these burgers for many years now - it's my hands-down favorite Glory Days offering. Ordered to go last year some time & was underwhelmed at how it was put together & how it traveled. This time, however - what a revelation! While of course I re-toasted everything in the oven for 10 minutes or so (fries in particular never travel well, so always need a bit of a crisp-up), whoever made & whoever packed the burger deserve awards. The burger was more than an inch thick & perfectly medium-rare as ordered. Bleu cheese crumbles were perfectly piled on the burger - not scattered all over the place - as were the beautifully grilled onions. And healthy portions of both. The creme-de-la-creme? Someone had the absolutely genius idea to place a piece of parchment paper between the lettuce/tomato/raw red onion & the rest of the burger, thus preventing those fresh toppings from not only wilting from the heat of the burger enroute, but also sogging up the bun!! I simply lifted the parchment paper with fresh toppings off while I reheated the burger & bun, & replaced them (minus parchment) when everything was hot & ready. Both burger & fries were absolutely PERFECT (side pickle spear cold & crisp as well) - just as good if not better than if I had ordered & enjoyed it in the restaurant. If I had to be anal & ding them on anything, it was that no little plastic cup of ketchup was provided, but I had my own favorite "spicy ketchup" on hand, so probably wouldn't have used theirs anyway. Bottom Line: I can only hope & pray that this wasn't a one-time thing due to someone superior manning the kitchen & that my next burger order will arrive home exactly the same as this one!! read more

After not frequenting this location for quite some time we started to go back on Fridays for their Friday Fish Fry which has been very good. Then we decided to go on a Tuesday and try their Tri-Fecta. BIG MISTAKE!! I selected the Chrispy Chicken Sandwich. I couldn't even finish it. I tried but but after a few bites I gave it to a friend who was with us and feeds a local ground hog. It was dry, over cooked and like rubber. I don't think even the ground hog will eat it. So, I guess we won't be going back too often and if so it will be on a Friday. I'm only giving 2 stars for the server Bryanna and the Gentilman who greeted us as both were very good. read more

First time we went here it was good, 2nd time they must have changed up the menu and wasn't as good as the first time. Bathroom smells awful near the urinals. And paper towels all on the ground near the trash. Every time my relatives wanted an items server comes back saying they are out of stock with that item. Pasta was plain. Service was slow with getting our drinks and refills. Dessert was nothing special with that lava cake, as I said before 1st time was great when I took my wife on a date here. 2nd time my family and we came here, just wasn't the same. This place is hit or miss. Sometimes the service is great, sometimes just ok. Same with the food. They used to have a fish sandwich that was really excellent but took it off the menu although their fish fry basket is still usually really good. Their burgers are usually excellent as well. Recently I had the shrimp platter which was very good and the breading on the fried shrimp was surprisingly light but the smothered chicken my friend got was very bland and he was not happy. We shared a half portion of loaded fries which is nothing special but was tasty. I gave it 4 stars because that's an average on our many visits here although the last visit would've been only 3 stars. read more

Tried to have a special group party at this restaurant . Called to make reservations a week in advance and was told they don't take reservations and just to come in. On the day of the event we called again as we intended to bring 9 or 10 and wanted to make sure they had room. On that day, the took the reservation. Upon arriving, they had no tables. Again I was told that they don't take reservations but did allow "call ins". Not sure what that means but I guess it means that the client foolishly thinks they have been accommodated but let's see what happens when you get there. After expressing my displeasure, the manager did seat us, by the door that people used to come in and out while smoking. We arrived at 5:30 - dinner took over two hours. Food was ok but not worth the aggravation. The next time I have a group, I'll go somewhere that takes and honors reservations. Better for me because I can relax, better for them because they don't overbook and know what to expect. read more

We sat in the lounge at a high top and our server Michelle immediately greeted us with the friendliest disposition. She persuaded us to get large beers, but we were easily convinced . Had lunch today. Server was ok.. a bit delayed. Had to ask for silver ware. The cauliflower pizza was horrible!!!! Tomatoes were cut very thick and way too much cheese. My son's burger was to be mid rare. Definitely over cooked. Overall a great disappointment for the money. 1 star read more

Definitely a hit or miss as far as the taste goes. I feel like this location isn't as good as some of the others I've been too. They also have messed up my order quite often which makes me not want to order. With a partner that is allergic to gluten we've had to have the food remade a few times bcuz they served us regular bread when the order specifically says gluten free on it. Not sure what was going on tonight. I see some good reviews. I can tell you that the best tasting thing I had was the water. I was really disappointed in the thigh wings. They looked nothing like what was pictured. They were dry also. Had to ask for barbecue sauce which was supposed to be on them. I ordered a half Cobb salad and it had no chicken on it. It looked great however. Then I laughed at my one in a half croutons lol There were six of us and we were all disappointed with the service and food. The waitress was nice but slightly forgetful. Have met friends here several times for lunch. Ample parking, warm welcome and always promptly tested. Our group of six were very pleased recently with the terrific service on a busy weekend approaching Christmas. Katie was very courteous and our food came out quickly. Highly disappointed Glory Days Grill. Went out to eat with friends a week and a half ago. We started with appetizers and the wait was so long on our food that I was full and took my meal to go. My son went to eat the Buffalo chicken sandwich and bit into a RAW sandwich. Called glory days, the manager said he would reimburse me for the sandwich. Several days go by, no refund issued. My husband called, asked for a manager and was told he would call back, that was 3 days ago. Unacceptable. I have pictures of the raw chicken sandwich. read more

Great spot for lunch with our group of seven on Sunday afternoon. We weren't there to watch football like many patrons (the restaurant was quite packed with sports fans), but it wasn't an issue for us and we were seated immediately. Ever since Glory Days Grill got the Impossible Burger I make it my business to visit as many of them as I can. This one in Culpeper does them the best! They are always crispy and delicious. If you want to go vegan you can go without the cheese, and if you want to be healthier you can take the veggies instead of fries for a side. Try the Impossible Burger. It's amazing compared to other non-meat burgers. I'll keep coming back as long as they have it. read more

Pictures are deceiving. The steak I ordered had no season at all I couldn't help but to pour a lot of A1 sauce to make up for the flavor, even doing that I couldn't finish the steak. The mashed potatoes were a bit salty. My daughter ordered pasta from the menu and she couldn't eat it since it was loaded with butter making it greasy. I was not happy with the cooks tonight. There are copious non-chain restaurants in Culpeper that offer superior service and exceptional food over any of the chain restaurants, but I have never had a bad meal here. Last night I had the sirloin steak. It was tasty, but far less sumptuous than steaks I've had at Piedmont Steaks or It's About Thyme. However, it cost $30 less, so if you want a tasty steak for $15.99, try it. I love their mashed potatoes, but this time I tried their buttered red potatoes. They were soft and moist and tasted delicious with a touch of salt and pepper. In the past I've had one of their burgers with bacon. It was just what you would expect. The time before I tried their ribs. Loved the taste, but I thought there wasn't much meat on the ribs, but still very affordable. read more

Disclaimer... my server was awesome! But I came to this restaurant for lunch. It's hot outside so we said oh let's go somewhere cool and get something cold to drink and nice to eat. This place was so hot I thought I was outside. So our server said the air has not been working all day. So we ask to speak to the Manager Steve. No collectively we're all fanning ourselves so we're visibly hot. He says "the air has been working all day" so we said it's sweltering in the place. He responds "have you been outside", completely discrediting our concerns. He was not trying to accommodate or even address the issues that we had. Overall I was not impressed. So we've been back twice and both times have been great; the last one was for my wife's birthday with our party of 8. The server did a great job, especially considering that we kept moving around the table, he kept a smile. The food was hot and well seasoned and everyone was happy with the portion size. The burgers here are some of the best I've ever had. But don't expect to get to your table very quickly. My last attempt to eat there was on a Monday, approximately 5:30 pm. I was a single diner, the restaurant was half empty of diners, and the outdoor seating area was completely empty. Despite all this, I was told there would be a 45 minute wait (there was one couple ahead of me). It would appear that at least half of the tables cannot be used due to COVID concerns. Good food, sure. But if you cannot, or are not, willing to spend as much time waiting as you do eating there are other options. read more

This is a good chain restaurant that offers a good variety of food. We have had the burgers, salads, and wings. All were good. They also have a good kids menu for both really young kids (think smaller portions) and older kids. The place has a sports theme with LOTS of TVs. The unique thing about this place is that they have a speaker at the table and you can choose which TV (sports program) that you want to listen. read more

Where to start. The hostess was wonderful. Then we waited WAY to long for a server to even greet us. When she finally came by we placed our entire order. Not a hard one 2 kids tacos 1 adult taco 1 adult salad and wings. The wings we eh at best. Not sure why glory sauce is a thing... but that's just me. Then it took about another 30 mins to get our food. And everything seemed to have sat way too long under the warmer. All the chicken, including in my wives WAY over dressed salad was dry as dirt. The server, only came by twice. Once to take our order and once to deliver our food. She didn't even check on us to see how our food was. This was an over all terrible experience. I'm not a big fan of Glory Days, but we went here to meet friends for dinner one night last week. I chose to get the 10 Spice Chicken which came with veggies & mashed potatoes. The veggies were VERY good, with a great seasoning. The chicken was juicy & the spices were perfect. I was pleasantly surprised with my visit & will most likely return because of it. read more
