If I was 20 again and really into smoking cigarettes I would probably have found this place lots of fun. There was a great beer selection and lots of stuff to do, both inside and out. We got there at 11 pm and weren't impressed by the sticky floors or puddles on the bar. They were still serving food and for us, that was a bridge too far. Fun place in Warrenton! Nice craft beer selection! We tried the Fresh Squeezed IPA (6.4% ABV) (Deschutes Brewery, Deschutes, OR) and liked it so much we had several pints. Delicious! My friend has been hyping this place up for so long, after driving all the way out here from Texas it was just the worst experience. First night I was cut off after two twisted teas because "I looked tired" (no shit I just drove 7 hours to come to this greasy shithole) and then they said my registered service animal wasn't allowed in which is literally against the law. Didn't ask for her id, papers or anything. Just really rude, salty mfs working here, if they hate it so much find somewhere else to work lol. Come on guys.....I come in here a lot and usually get the wings because they are consistently really good! I brought my wife this time and she wanted something different so we opted for the Cajun Chicken Fingers and Rib Eye Skewers. Cajun fingers homemade, NOT frozen junk from a box, very moist and tender......PERFECTLY cooked! Unfortunately NO seasoning or flavor whatsoever. These EASILY could have been the best chicken fingers ever with some simple SPG or Store bought Cajun seasoning. Very disappointing because they had all the potential in the world. However it was very nice to see chicken fingers not come frozen out of a box or a bag. Season these and you have a big winner winner chicken dinner! Ribeyes on skewers was a bowl of mediocee steak that was not grilled per the menu, covered with A1. The vegetables were good that came with it. read more

I originally came in during their soft opening and was even interviewed for the local newspaper. I stated that I thought this would be a good addition to Warrenton as I had been to the original location years before. I would retract this statement at this point. After multiple visits to this establishment, the only positive I have is that they have a good selection of beer and most of the employees have been very nice. However, with a turnover rate of more than 85%, it is hard to tell. The real problem here is how dirty it has become. Besides looking generally dirty, the tables and bar have been sticky at different visits. The bathroom is disgusting. The bathroom door had a broken handle a month between visits. On my last visit, the handle came off completely so I carried it out to my table with a piece of wood still attached. The walls are covered with graffiti, some of which has been painted over. When I asked about filling out a comment card, the employees (more than one) told me not to bother that the owners would just throw them away anyway. So I decided Yelp and the health department would be my follow up to that statement. The evening shift showed up, working behind the bar and with food, with plenty of hair and none of it pulled up or back. So I can just imagine how much hair ends up in the food. Sadly, as my visits had become less and less, I believe that will be my last visit. I would think with the influx of breweries and a new local brewery in the works, that the owners would be more interested in having a comfortable, clean environment for guests. But since they aren't even open to suggestions or comments, I guess the dive atmosphere that caters to more twentysomethings that are interested in getting trashed for $2 or playing beer pong is what they'll get. read more

Fat Tuesdays is back in Warrenton! We went here for drinks and appetizers one rainy afternoon and were pleasantly surprised. The wait staff was friendly and the food was good. We had gator and crawfish for appetizers and really enjoyed all of it. The beer was cold and the atmosphere was very laid back. We would definitely come back! read more

Being in Warrenton there weren't many places to go out at night, but we found Fat Tuesday's! There was a DJ, the drink prices were reasonable and the mozzarella sticks were yummy! The security guy, Antwan, was very friendly and helpful (most security at bars tend to not really care). We decided to come back another night after our friends wedding for more drinks! When you think about Fat Tuesday's, you have to think - this is a dive BAR. ;) Alright, now that we got this settled, let's continue. You're thirsty. You're hungry. You had a rough day/week at work and want to meet some friends or just hang out with other locals - you find yourself at Fat's. You want to watch a Caps/Skins/Nats game? You get yourself to Fat's. You want to rock out to some live music? You get the picture.... So you walk in through the patio area and you think "wow this place is interesting!" People tend to be enjoying a smoke and hanging out when the weather's good (or even not-so-good) , playing cornhole at times. Who doesn't love a good old-fashioned cornhole game? Hipsters. No hipsters here. You walk into the bar, and see all sorts of crazy stuff from the French Quarter hanging up, band and brewery stickers, an arcade hunting game and a BAR. A real damn bar where you saddle up and lean on the wooden rail like your grandpa did (and hopefully still does)! You see the massive row of craft beer taps, or check out the specials on regular ass beer and you know you're in a good spot. Fat's works hard to keep a really diverse selection of VA and a few national craft beers on tap. They are constantly seeking out the freshest, dankest IPAs and sweetest, heaviest stouts. Whatever style of beer you prefer, you can probably find something here to drink. Food is what you want in a bar. You want some trendy kale junk, look elsewhere. This is fried, delicious and soul-nutritious comfort food. Because a bar should be comforting! Nosh on some cheese fries. These are seriously the best cheese fries I've ever had, and the house-made ranch is even better. Crush a french dip, po-boy, burger sub or anything else stuffed into the middle of a crusty baguette. Try the red beans and rice, jambalaya or gumbo - they are LEGIT. This place can get loud and rowdy, but that's what you want in a bar. Come check it out, bring your friends and have a good time. My new favorite bar. Decent food menu, though a bit heavy on the fried stuff. I had the gumbo and fried oysters. Gumbo of the day was chicken andouille (excellent), friend oysters were crispy and crunchy (delicious) but not very meaty or flavorful. The tarter sauce they were served with was creamy and thick, I liked it a lot and dipped my fries in it. ONE HECK OF A SET OF BEER TAPS. It's like a tiny slice of the French Quarter in Warrenton. My wife and I stopped for lunch today. First time and it was a great experience. It was a slow lunch day but we had a very nice experience. First and foremost was the food. We had fried pickles for an app and they were top 3 ever. Made in house and with a great batter. Dipping sauce was spicy and flavorful and went perfectly. Portion was very generous. My wife had potato skins as a meal and they were well done ad consisted of two full potatoes (medium sized). I had the mud bug Po Boy which was very good. It was a very good portion and tasty. I loved that they sliced the tomatoes very thin and melted the cheese on the sandwich. Could have used a bit more sauce is my only suggestion. Beer selection is the best in Warrenton with a great mix of local and imports. The decor is very bar like but that is fine for me. They have outdoor seating which I would love to take advantage of on a sunny day. They have some games for adults and kids which also adds some nice fun. Finally the staff today was very pleasant and warm. They spent time to chat with us and the other guests which meant it wasn't super fast but a nice cozy feel. We plan to be back to try some of their specials soon. read more

I'd been wanting to check this place out for the longest time after seeing posts on FB about their menu and live music. On Saturday we went for drinks, food and the live music. We got there and got a kick from the look of the bar. We sat at a table and there weren't many people there but there were a good handful of bar tenders hanging out behind the bar. As read in other posts you will have to go to the bar to order food amd drinks as nobody will come to serve you. We were there at 7.30 yet we paid a $10 cover to watch the band that didn't start until 10pm. The band Junkyard played and in our opinion their name was fitting! The clientele of Fat's were "interesting" to say the least but everyone was friendly. We would have stayed longer but the band didn't appeal to us. The mixed drinks were entirely too light so I changed to beer. The food was damn good, we had the mushrooms, gator bites, fried oysters and the cheese fries. Great food!!! Stick to beer for drinks and skip watching junkyard, my opinion! read more

What a hole. There is a stench on the inside of the bar so bad we had to eat outside. Then we were surrounded by smokers on all sides. The food was horrible and over priced. The server didn't have any answers to any questions we had and gave us the wrong information. They didn't have the specials that they advertised, nor were they the prices they were advertised at. We were charged for food they dropped on the floor. When we brought our issues up to the owner she made excuses for everything, and finally insulted us by saying "good luck" and to "try one of the chain restaurants in town because they would probably better suit us." If you can get over the ill mannered wait staff who obviously do not give a damn about you, and you don't mind all the TV screens with football, all kinds of sports, horse racing, etc. covering every wall and the excessively loud testosterone everywhere, I wouldn't bother ordering any food off of the menu. I got a "shrimp po-boy" sandwich which I figured would not be anything like a real shrimp po-boy but I underestimated it. Their po-boy was NOTHING like a real shrimp po-boy which usually comes with sliced tomato, shredded lettuce and a real remoulade sauce. Fat Tuesday's shrimp po-boy came only with a fake remoulade sauce (no lettuce or tomato) and a bunch of pickles, Real po-boys do not come with pickes and I told the guy behind the bar that I did not want pickles but the sandwich came with tons of pickles. They shrimp still had the shells on it so you had to peel the shrimp with all the sauce on it. WHO DOES THIS??? It was so dark in there, I could hardly read the menu but I guess that is a good thing because I couldn't see how dirty is was. I had a great time watching the cowboy vs McGregor fight. Great bartenders and awesome DJ. But when I was on the patio this drunk man pushed me over some chairs. I thought we were having a conversation but he just threw me. When I got up I was confronted by staff and asked to leave. I didnt touch or antagonize anyone. I wont be going back. We were the only ones in at the time which gave us a chance to get to know the bartenders Terra and Sampson who we see often, but got to know them better. I went in here to watch a football game and the place was dead. Even with no one in there, the two bartenders just stood there chatting with each other. After about 15 minutes, I walked up to the bar and asked if we could get drinks and a food menu. I placed the drink order and went back to the table. Then about another 15 minutes later, the waitress finally brought our beers. In between this 30 minute ordeal, another couple came in to watch football, sat down, and after not being helped for about 10-15 minutes got up and left. As soon as we walked up before we even got inside we were greeted by the girl at the outside bar who told us she had a limited selection but we could order at the bar or sit outside and get served. We sat outside and never got served... Went in to get our drinks and this place was dead. Had to go back inside to get refills and order our own food. The staff was so busy hanging out, playing corn hole, doing shots behind the bar, etc to bother with customers who were their buddies. Finally asked someone to serve our table and the bartender who was serving is got upset and made him make us close out our tab rather than transferring it. The decor is completely outdated and trashy. The bathrooms are disgusting and worse then a gas station in South East, DC. Fights break out all the time, cops are constantly called to the area. The owner is biased on the patron demographic, who mind you, keeps his own business running. There is extreme favoritism for the wrong reasons here. If something happens, just LEAVE. I read about how this restaurant recently reopened after closing years ago. I was excited to try it and about Cajun food in Warrenton. Unfortunately, my friend and I were both disappointed. We arrived for lunch and there was only one other couple eating. I thought the atmosphere was strange - to purposely make your new place look like an old dive. Also, there are not many tables inside. From outside the place looks bigger. Had it been warm enough we would have sat outside. We ordered the gumbo. For what we got it was expensive and less than expected. For one there was no okra. Instead there was cheap rice dumped in the gumbo on one side. There were some tiny langoustine pieces that tasted good and a few shrimp that did not taste good. The flavor of the broth was good but not enough to make up for the lack of substance in the gumbo. There were tiny pieces of andouille sausage. Served with the gumbo were two pieces of bread that tasted like they had been grilled on a dirty grill. Ugh. I wish we just opted for one of the fast food joints in town. Perhaps, this place is good if you go for beer. As a restaurant, it is mediocre. read more

This might be the worst place to go eat in Warrenton if you are looking for decent food, a cool ambiance and cleanliness for a family meal. That said, it is a great place if you are looking for a local dive bar with a broad beer selection and great service. Note - There are no dishes or glassware except for beer and soda for my kids was served out of a 2 liter bottle at the table - no joke. Is this a children's birthday?? Went in for their $2 Tuesday and was very, very disappointed with the crummy little paper plate of "spiced" shrimp, definitely not worth the $2 price. But even more disappointed with the horrible (lack of) service. Wait staff was more interested in chatting with old buddies than serving, or even checking on, customers. Love the feel of the divey bar scene- my boyfriend and I walked in and we felt like we've been regulars for a while. We went on a Tuesday, so they have $2 drafts, bottles, rail drinks, and wine & $2 food specials. You need to buy a wrist band, but those are only $2 so worth it if you are planning on drinking more than 1 beer. Lots of employees, a few of them helped us out. Food was a little slow, but they are new and I'm sure working out the kinks- most new restaurants need a few months to figure all that out. 20 beers in tap, which was pretty awesome, too! While entering I noticed a bunch of signs with notices to not loiter and to pull ur pants up, I realized quickly this was not to be. The menu did not have many options and most of it was fried food. Very nice staff. Enjoyed the atmosphere, but this is a dive bar...not a place for kids. It reminds me of the bars we went too when we were in college. Not a fan of the soft shell crab po boy. Not the resturaunts fault, we just didn't know what a soft shell crab po boy was. I heard crab and was thinking pulled crab meat on a roll. Nope. It was the entire crab fried up. Ok, newly opened business so you have to give them some time. Went in with family for lunch. It is obvious that they are not set up for children, no kids menu no booster seats. I think in Warrenton that is a must, but that is up to the business owners and their model. For late night no problem understand. The food was typical fried chicken strips, fried craw fish and French dip of which the dip had no flavor and the meat in the sandwich tasted like it was a cooked frozen steak patty. I do love seafood so I will try dinner for oysters etc. if it was my business I would add crabs also- Good Luck and we will try again! read more
