Gross, the rudest owner ever. Serves underage and refuses to sell food when he doesn't feel like it. So rude. So skeezy.

The worse service I've ever received at a bar/restaurant. Who owns this place? I'll buy it from you and will make it much better.

Let me first say there…read moreare not any fun and well done gastropubs in Gainesville, and this restaurant certainly stands to prove that point. Stereotypical decor and menu, Grains and Grog stood painfully empty on a Saturday afternoon playing music nostalgic to anyone who graduated high school before 2010. I ordered a Manhattan. Hallway through, looking down at the bottom of the glass, I saw two tiny flies floating at the bottom. As disgusted as one can reasonably be, I asked for another one to be made (why I bothered, I can't say. Maybe it was because I had already drank half). I found another small fly in the second before the server left the table. Another fly in the third as well. We didn't finish our meals for obvious reasons. They brought us the check, discounted the manhattans and 50% the check, though I didn't feel I should have paid anything. After paying the check, they said it was a mistake. They brought us the wrong one and would void the sale. The "correct" check they brought us was the full meal sans the 3 botched manhattans. We won't be going back

My burger was served with mayo when I had requested it to be held. They took it back, brought out the same burger and said they took it apart and found no mayo. I showed them. So, the solution was to bring a new bottom bun. Burger was on the dry side. I ate half. My wife finished it. She said her char salad was good but the cheese sticks were run of the mill. Service was on the border of abysmal. Food was on the expensive side. Nothing that would compel me to return.

I hate eating in restaurants where the music drowns out the conversation. the food we've tried in our two visits has been delicious. I ordered the filet mignon sandwich both times, with a side salad. it's their most popular sandwich. the salad was simple and so crisp and tasty. my husband got the steak and cheeses and enjoyed it. the next time he ordered the filet mignon because I raved about it. The menu goes well beyond standard bar fare, with several dishes that feel like real upgrades on the classics. We started with the OG BBQ pork potato skins, which were generous and packed with flavor. My wife enjoyed her pork schnitzel, though she felt the cut was a bit thicker than ideal. My Cincinnati chili, on the other hand, was exactly what I wanted on a cold winter day--rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. A great spot whether you're there for the game or just a solid meal.

Drinks stayed full, food came fast, and she handled our nonsense like an FBI hostage negotiator who already knew we were the problem. ......so we came back the next day. This time we hit the bar, where Reilly and Steph ran the show. They kept the place moving like a Formula 1 pit crew while making everyone feel like regulars. They roast you just enough, keep the drinks flowing, and somehow juggle six conversations without breaking stride. At one point I'm pretty sure they solved world hunger, fixed the economy, and brought me another beer before I noticed mine was empty. Glory Days, whatever you're paying Delaney, Reilly, and Steph, it's not enough. They absolutely run that place. Boston Bob and I came in two days in a row because the service was that good. Now I should consider paying rent.

The chicken seemed to be breaded, fried, then tossed in a spices mixture which had large pieces of grainy spices in it - most notably salt, with a sweet and savory blend of spices. No honey mustard was provided, as is customary with chicken tenders - instead it was a creamy almost Thousand Island-like sauce. I definitely prefer Chili's chicken crispers over this. The mac & cheese was bottom of the barrel - Bland, lacking flavor, slightly bitter and slightly gritty. Just not what you'd expect from a quality chain like Glory Days ...

Omg so many thoughts on this experience…read more I'm so glad i didn't immediately know it was a restaurant located in a hotel. This prob would have deterred me, even a little bit. The Apple map directions here confused me a little due to this, but parking was really plentiful so that's a huge plus! I went on a Sunday morning and lo and behold there was a hole farmers market or pop up set up all through haymarket! Busy weekend for a brunch but haymarket is SUCH a cute little vibe and town with so many hidden gems, like this one!! Literally every single item I saw waiters bring out from the kitchen looked so scrumptious, every person around us immediately began digging in and enjoying their meals...and honestly, no crumbs were left behind pretty much every time. We started ordering a yummy cocktail. I was really in the mood for the Paloma with grapefruit juice but sadly they were out of grapefruit juice fortunately, they had plenty cocktails available that were not explicitly on the menu! I ended up having a delicious espresso martini, prepared, right and honestly, I would have had another!! Not too sweet. Not creamy. And with 3 beans. Impeccable no notes. I ordered the red House breakfast. Man those home potatoes were so delicious....they clearly cooked them seasoned deliciously and then flash fried, so crunchy!!!! Amazing. I found that their execution on their meals was really impressive. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly and paired so yummy with the toast. The bacon had delicious flavor too. I ordered a biscuit because I had heard that their biscuits were really yummy but unfortunately they did not have their bacon biscuit so it was just a classic biscuit. It was good, certainly dense and clearly homemade. My girlfriend got the poutine. Looked so delicious and was really enjoyed! The gravy was thick and flavorful! We sat down and enjoyed plenty of conversation and a really nice environment. Nobody rushed us, service was just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation constantly, and the floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful natural light and views of the town. It was the perfect brunch spot for a low-key, but delicious meal. Just a hair out of the way without being too far. I came out with a really good friend of mine to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with her and it was the perfect possible location. Shout out to the staff for being so welcoming and kind, and even taking a picture of us when we asked to commemorate the occasion. I'm sure they are used to people walking in to the hotel lobby looking as confused as I was looking for red House Tavern.

The food was average at best when it came out. Super disappointed. We came here for my mom's 5 year beating cancer anniversary and it wasn't much of a celebration.
