I got a mailer for a service discount, which reminded me I had already acknowledged and sidelined the 30k tuneup so I called to schedule that and a tow-hitch install we'd been planning recently. Troncalli Subaru's JJ took great care of us from beginning to end. I was scheduled quickly, he coordinated a rental for my husband as it was a longer job, and he communicated amazingly throughout the day. The hitch looks great--fully concealable, have the confidence it was done at the dealership, and other than tires needing to be replaced, my car is in top condition. I couldn't be more happy with the exceptional kindness and consideration shown to my husband and I on Fri, Sept. 4 as well as him honoring the discount and car wash. This was my first service experience at this location, and unfortunately, it will likely be my last. The only positive was that the service was completed quickly. Beyond that, I was shocked by the cost. My oil change ended up being $114 after several miscellaneous fees were added. I've had my Subaru serviced at multiple other Subaru dealerships in Georgia and have never paid more than about $85 for the same service. When I questioned the difference, my advisor, James, told me I must have been confused about what I had paid in the past. Rather than addressing my concern, the response felt dismissive and left me feeling uncomfortable. The dealership itself was noticeably less busy than other Subaru service departments I've visited, and after this experience, I can understand why. The pricing felt excessive, the added fees felt nickel-and-dime, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. I've been a loyal Subaru owner for years, so it takes a lot for me to write a review like this. This experience was frustrating enough that it genuinely made me question whether I want to continue servicing, or even owning a Subaru in the future. read more

I hit a deer and needed a new Subaru grill and the little bumper above the grill. Greg gave me an estimate of $754.72 and said if the parts came in with the emblem, painted, etc. (ie, ready to install) it would be $515.94. It took several days for anyone to see if the parts were in stock or needed to be ordered. I heard back from them that it was ready to install (don't know if it was in stock the whole time or not}. I am located 2 hours away. I made the appointment and went down today. They were trying to charge more than the estimate and I asked Linda why. She went in the back and then a woman came out ready for a fight. She immediately jumped down my throat. Not sure if I am spelling her name correctly but it was Rahel something. I think she was the manager of the collision department. She said that the price is the price and it didn't matter what Greg quoted. We were arguing in loud voices. I asked several times if Greg was there but she would not call him out. My sister was there and could not believe what a witch Rahel was. It was truly amazing how bad she verbally attacked me. She yelled that her estimate was correct and it was what it was. My blood pressure was sky high. It wasn't the dollar amount of the increase but the fact that she refused to honor the estimate. While we were fighting loudly in the entry, Linda went back and got Greg. Greg came out and explained to Rahel why the price was what it was and she stormed off. Rahel has no business interfacing with customers. Absolutely horrific. Linda took over who was trying to be accommodating. When I came back to pick up the car I inspected the grill. The painted part of the little bumper was not even the right color of the car. It is not even in the same color palette. I was so frustrated with how I was treated by Rahel and to avoid another episode, I didn't even mention it. read more

The Sales Department was great, zero issues there. The Service Department is the worst I've ever seen, bar none. You'd think a Subaru dealer tech could perform a basic service properly - but apparently not this one. After specifically pointing out the coolant overflow bottle was empty after the last service (on a 2021 Outback XT with 30k that was serviced exclusively at this dealer), they still didn't top it off. Before leaving my wife checked it & went back into the service advisor to tell them - they took the car back again but it's still empty. Absolutely ridiculous! They also unplugged her dashcam & left it that way - did the same thing on the last service for my 2024 Outback Wilderness there too. And nope, they didn't check the coolant level on that one either. Once could be a fluke, this is a pattern & it's not simple incompetence - it's deliberate. The service advisor had an attitude when she pointed out the empty coolant overflow & asked that they make sure it was serviced when arriving, and didn't come get her when it was ready - another service advisor handled it 30 minutes after the car was actually finished. That was probably deliberate too. I'm a long term Subaru owner - in the last 20 years we've purchased 6. I've never seen service this poor, management needs to clean house there. read more

I bought my forester brand new from them. That experience was great! The service department needs some help, I schedule my oil changes and services and each time it seems to take longer and longer. The last time over 4 hours! Then I went back for a warranty part to be replaced, part was in- but they didn't send it over to the body shop to be painted - so I had to make another appointment to come back. They are the closest Subaru dealer to me so I feel like I have to go there, and it's not close to begin with. RUN!!!! This dealer has been just awful. They take forever to make an appointment and the new Ascent breaks down constantly. My vehicle has now ALL of its dashboard lights flashing including the check engine light and Troncalli says they cannot look at it for a month!! I took naother vehicle in their because it was having an issue with the hill hold and no matter how many times I asked them to just Google the issue they said they ahd never heard of this issue and it was new to them. They charged me $200 to get the vehicle back and I fixed the issue myself in 10 minutes by watching a YouTube video. They are USELESS!!! read more

Well on Tuesday my wife and I wanted to do some price comparisons on a Subaru Outback we have been looking at purchasing later in the year just getting a feel of where the price would be. Found one in a color we had not thought about, we were looking for blue but this one was metallic Bronze color which we liked. There were two on the lot and about a $5K difference in price. We took the lesser of the two because it had all the bells and whistles we were looking for. We could not find a salesperson so we were concerned. So my wife went on the hunt for one. She found one and then told me every other sales person was working with someone. We were very happy with the test drive and the price was right with the trade in. So we are very happy with the process and we got our car earlier than expected. I see all the comments about the service department so I will see how that stacks up when it comes time for that. This side of the house was outstanding, our salesman, Jim Graham did a fantastic job and walked us through a lot of the steps. We have another meeting with him on Friday to go over some of the computer set ups and other functions we need to get. read more

Don't buy from here. I bought a brand new Subaru, put less than 12k miles on it in slightly less than 2 years. Warranty work was needed because the radio turns on and off and you can't control the volume. This dealership told me it would be fixed under warranty and then called me to pick it up, saying I owed $1700. This is a known issue with Subaru models that I wish I knew before purchasing. I purchased a 2023 Forrester Wilderness for my wife from this dealership a while back. It was the car of her dreams. The smile on her face when we left the dealership was worth every cent that I paid for the car. She has taken care of this car as if it was her very first vehicle. About three months ago, she took the car to the dealership for a routine oil change. Upon her return home, she noticed a strange noise coming from the driver seat. At first, I attributed the noise to the normal breaking in of a new seat. However, after a few days, the noise became much more pronounced. She returned the car to the dealership to investigate the problem. After a couple of days of keeping the car, she received a call indicating that the problem was solved. That turned out to be a lie. On her drive back home, the noise was still there. She returned the car for the second time. This time, they kept the car for nearly a week. They assured us that the problem was really solved this time, yet another lie. The car has been at the dealership for the third time. This is day 10 and still no resolution. I have written to both the general manger and the service department about this issue, all in vain. They have not even had the courtesy to contact me. It's tough to find a good car dealer, especially one that knows how to work with an informed customer. Too many miss that salesmanship of vehicles is not car dealing, it's care dealing. The primary methods by which a salesman can close a deal are simply A) listening to the needs and priorities of the customer and asking how those can be best met by a product and B) merging the customer's preferred approach to the transaction with the preferred approach of the dealership. A good salesman knows how to impart a sense of teamwork; a meeting of minds on a deal, as opposed to just ramping up the gamesmanship. With the reputation car dealers have in general, establishing a sense of trust is critically important. Charlie is a pro at this, and a credit to this dealership. He identified the two needs I brought to the table -- the first being that I wasn't kicking tires, but was legitimately shopping for an upcoming purchase on my elderly mother's behalf, so an ease of transaction closure was going to be critical. The second was that I had prior industry experience, and was interested in finding a good deal for all parties involved, not just the dealership. He shot straight with me, I with him, and we closed the deal. I want to stress how mixed the experience was with every other dealer we interacted with. We had inconsistent communication lead times with basically everyone else in the North Georgia area, all the way up to some dealers in North Carolina. Charlie was the only one that reached out and "chased" the deal, and also provided a painless experience as promised once we showed up to sign on the line. Again, this was very important with my mother in tow. He's a credit not just to Troncalli, but Subaru of America's dealership network, and if I were in the market for a Subaru in the future (I very well may be at some point, for one of those lonely Legacies at the back of the lot), I wouldn't hesitate to work with Charlie again. read more

Arrived for scheduled appointment only to be informed they were short staffed. Advised us we could leave our 2023 vehicle brought in under warranty for a potential brake issue and they would provide a loaner vehicle. OK. Now we had traveled to Cumming from north of Blairsville, going over the mountain and Neals gap in dense fog on a 2 hour ride to get there. A loaner would mean a total repeat of the drive. Other appointments had been rearranged for this visit. I declined the offer and told them to call me when they had staff. This NEVER should have happened. As we were about to leave...quite angry, we were then offered the option of having someone deliver our car to Blairsville. With no staff...that could have been days. I'm angry because if they only had the DECENCY to call and inform us of the need to reschedule,.... I would have been fine. Even if we had been in route, we could have turned around and rescheduled. I wish you could leave a zero star review. Was told in July 2023 they put a new transmission in my 2022 WRX. March 2024 found out they rebuilt it. Was told that it would be covered at no cost only to get a phone call a week later that it would be "a one time good faith" charge of $1000 aka my service plan deductible. Picked the car up today and found out they didn't put the heat shield back on the car. I had taken it off because we thought it was the drive shaft before having it towed back to them. Not one phone call asking where the heat shield was or why it wasn't on the car. Service manager said " we don't look thru cars that's why it wasn't put back on" why not call and ask where it's at or put one on the car if it's missing!?! Was told they would tow it back and put the part on. No thanks. Will never take another car here and thanks to them will never purchase another Subaru. We spent $1000 and now have to finish their job. Have already reached out to corporate. read more

We live 500 miles away and couldn't go there, so Joe Burrell, our salesman, did a video call with us and gave us a comprehensive tour and his honest opinion about the car. We wanted it shipped here and their regular driver was unavailable, so Joe arranged with the dealer to drive it here (with his girlfriend for company), and the dealer paid for both of their flights home that night. I Brought my 2021 WRX to them to fix rear quarter panel and door damage and they took forever to fix it. The deadline was soon coming for me to pick up the car and it seemed to me that they rushed getting it done since the deadline was approaching. when I picked up the car the rear quarter panel was welded on incorrectly making my rear door sink in at the top and pop out at the bottom leaving terrible panel gaps. Along with the terrible panel gaps my drivers door and rear door panel gap was also huge. I have found multiple paint runs on the car since getting it repaired as well. I brought the car back to them to have things fixed and the manager called my car a POS to my face and made up lies about why my doors and quarter panel gaps were not aligning properly when they were using OEM PARTS! which makes absolutely no sense. Soon after that terrible interaction I took my car to 4 other body shops to get a second opinion and all of them told me my rear quarter panel was welded on incorrectly(at an angle) which is why the panel gaps were so bad. So basically my car looks terrible now and they're not willing to fix it properly and I don't have the money to get it redone somewhere else properly. Please do not take your car to the collision center. read more

As a motivated buyer knowing exactly what I am looking for, I find it very offputting to speak with a sales rep that is rude and cocky over the phone. Newsflash: You need me for the sell much as I need you for the purchase. I submitted an online request, got a reply from Charlie and after some discussion via text, he disappeared for 3 hours. A quick text of "I am with a customer and will be right with you as soon as possible" would have gone a LONG way in this scenario as we were hoping to make the 3.5 hour trip to purchase the car THAT DAY but were just waiting on a few extra details first. During the phone conversation, his attitude mixed with "What can we do to wrap this up?" after only being in contact since that morning were the major turn-offs needed to end this interaction. HOWEVER, with my husband being in sales himself, he gave him another chance to make it right. We were told that we would have information first thing Sunday when the dealership opened. 6 minutes before closing time, we received an email with very little info. Despite the competitive pricing, we will be heading elsewhere to do our business. I will NOT be lining the pockets of a salesman who cannot provide me with the TRULY EXCEPTIONAL experience that Subaru America strives for. read more

PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CAR OR BRING YOUR CAR FOR SERVICE! It's been nothing but one gigantic headache dealing with them. Terrible customer service. Terrible service on the car. I bought the car in beginning of December 2023 they have in their system that I bought it January 1 the car was sold to me without having emissions done on it. I had to wait two weeks for a strut supposedly to be mailed in I was told it will be there in a week I called in a week they said it would take another week to get there they did not even have scheduled to have repair on it even though I spoke with the service advisor the day before I took it in. Every time I go there the people in service are not able to locate my car and I've been told it's because they're still an open Work order on it? The invoice they gave me for this last time didn't even have my correct name. It had my grandmother's maiden name as my middle name she cosigned with me. I was told that my car had an alignment done after the strut was replaced, I pulled it off the parking lot and it clearly was out of alignment pulling hard to the right turn out the strut was not put In the right position. The general manager manager didn't even care he made excuses for their Customer service he actually made excuses didn't even care said He has heard my side of the story, but he was agreeing with their side of the story and listening to them not the customer I am in amazement amazement experience I've had with them!!! i've taken it in four different times and they don't even put it in their service department Computer and scramble them around to locate my car, which is either there getting worked on or supposed to be brought it in to get worked because it's an open work order? These people do not need to be in business! They've even called me after I bought the car because they forgot to do an emissions on it. The manager told me the general manager told me that the reason was is because there Was a reason that the emissions wasn't ran on as they had to replace something or reset the check engine light and the state wouldn't allow them but that is incorrect because I was told when I brought it in that they forgot to do it. In what I've read is that it is illegal to sell a car without having emissions rent on it. It's one thing after the other I'm 34 and I've never had Customer experiences terrible. I was told it would take 30 minutes for my SRT key fob to be programmed. That's something that literally takes 2 minutes to do, but okay. I go sit and wait. It's not busy. At the point of double the time of what they said it was going to be, I went to check on the status at the service desk and my keys were in the same place they were when I left to sit down. I confronted the service sloth about how he should've let me know if it was going to take a considerable amount of time past the time he told me. I pointed out that if you tell a customer an estimate of when the job will be completed, and you see after that amount of time that they still haven't even initiated the service, you should let the person know. That's common courtesy. He gave me attitude about it - twice. Suddenly, after my fuss, they magically have someone available to do it. Hmm, took 2 minutes. How hard was that? We were pretty loyal customers of this dealership, but I'll be spending my money and supporting Don Jackson or another dealership that actually appreciates my business. read more

Sent it in for repairs, was told it would take 30 min and its now been 1h 45 min, the killer is that there is nobody here, were the only customers here, which shows how lazy this team is. I had posted earlier about the horrible customer service here. I was finally able to schedule the recall service. The recall notice said 30 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 9 am appointment. They are undergoing a massive remodel and trying to stay open. That's fine. But now the waiting room is a blank room with one table. Someone is hogging the table so I am sitting in a chair that must predate WW I. Fine, this is temporary but customers should be warned when scheduling appointments. I could have planned to bring work that did not require any space. Oh, the waiting room also has a terrible musty odor. So, the recall notice said 30 minutes. I asked if they would have my car done in 30 minutes. They said no, it's an hour. I said that's not what the notification said. In the worst example of customer service ever the "service" person said "That's wrong" He implied that I had lied. So while I planned a quick trip and would not have minded a 30 minute wait in this horrible room, instead I'll be sitting here not working. I'm in the market for a new Subaru. You can bet I won't be buying it at Troncalli. read more

This dealership uses the old "bait and switch". They tell you your trade on is worth a high amount, then low ball you. I drove two hours and was ready to buy, but they offered me $7,000 less for my vehicle that was in PRISTINE condition. They then tried to say I had to be active duty to get a military discount (Chrysler/Dodge's own website states active, Guard, Reserve, and veterans eligible). WORST s dealership I've ever gone into!! I've owned 11 MOPAR vehicles, and would put this dealership at the bottom!!! read more

They actually tried HARD to scam me over a diagnostic. They kept my car for a month before even looking at it, didn't contact me with any information until I called them after the first month of silence. Within the week it went from bad to unbelievable! So I had a bad engine issue, it broke spark plugs, and wasn't firing at all on a cylinder. They were informed in detail of the issues as I am an ex aviation mechanic, and detailing these things in more detail than normal is my normal. They informed me that their compression test was performed with no tool, and then all work stopped. The information I had to pry from them was as follows. The battery was dead (it sat for 2 years, I would be amazed if it wasn't dead, and I told them that in the details I mentioned above). It got no compression on the afflicted cylinder (also told them this, and identified said cylinder for them). "I don't know why it's breaking spark plugs". I asked about the compression test as the threads are shredded by the process that killed the spark plug. I wanted to know how they did it at all since the test wasn't possible in it's condition, and if they DID somehow do it, what was the result of the compression test? They revealed that they did the test with their thumb. That's so very professional, and so worth the $180 diagnostic fee (it got waived in the end because I wasn't paying for something my kid can do in the yard). In the end, they spent 5 weeks to diagnose some thing that they actually never even touched with diagnostic equipment, and had zero documentation for anything that had been done, or not done thus far. Not a borescope to look in the bad cylinder, not even contact to ask what I wanted them to do. They just stopped everything, and hoped I would take their suggestion for a new engine at a price of $13,000!! The car isn't even worth that in flawless condition by KBB!! The next suggestion: get a new car. Also, they said the $13,000 would have to be paid as a lump sum, and no financing would be available unless I bought a car from them. NO THANK YOU JAMES KESLER. I do not want you to have any of your guys touch my car! read more
