Brought my car in that same day for an inspection & quote with Nick & the quote was lower than my insurance deductible. Was told that the repair would take 2-3 days. Dropped off my car yesterday morning and received a call today mid morning that my car would be ready by lunch. I was expecting it to be ready closer to the 3 day mark so this was a pleasant surprise. When I went to pick up my car the cost was still the same as the quote I was given. Both Daniel's (the manager & technician) were there during my pick and was very friendly. When I tell you my car is super squeaky clean! They did more than just fix the back bumper damage that I brought my car in for. The front of my hood had some wear & tear marks and they are completely unnoticeable now, thank you! My car looks brand new and clean inside and out, and vacuumed. Thank you so much to the entire Glamour staff for a wonderful first experience. He also broke the bumper clips that ended up being unsalvageable according to Bobby (owner of Platinum). He got overspray everywhere and broke parts that shouldn't have needed to be replaced. So an absolute waste of $500 on top of making the car look worse than it did before he touched it. I have been looking at getting it fixed for some time now and I came across Platinum Collision Repair and saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. When I arrived I saw a bunch of cars in the shop that looked pretty much brand new so I knew I was in probably in good hands. I was instantly greeted by the owner and I showed him the damage. He gave me a free quote within 3 mins of me being there. I took some time to see if I wanted to wait a few months or do it now but after seeing person after person come to drop off their car within 5 mins of me trying to make a decision in the parking lot, I felt that was all the convincing I needed, so I got him to go ahead and do it. I dropped the car off 7-25 (Saturday afternoon) and it was done 7-29(Wednesday morning). He told me Thursday just to be safe and I get a call on Wednesday morning at 9am that it's ready. That's including them ordering a new grill, new bumper and painting. They are closed Sundays and I brought it later in the afternoon on Saturday so really it only took them 3ish days to order the parts, do all the necessary repairs to other parts not being replaced, paint the car and they even washed it for me! These guys at Platinum killed it and the owner Bobby was seriously so helpful and did his best to get me right after getting screwed over and save me as much money as possible. He even buffed the overspray off my headlight for me and it looks like a brand new headlight now. The car now looks like how it looked when it came off the delivery truck a year ago. They did the job for so cheap too! Can't recommend them enough... so much so that my mom is asking me what's the address and telling me she doesn't care that it's over an hour and a half away from her after seeing the results lol. Positive Experience with One Small Concern…read more I recently had my vehicle repaired at Gwinnett Place Body Shop, and overall, the experience was excellent. The ladies at the front desk were kind, courteous, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. Their professionalism set the tone for what turned out to be a very positive visit. The repair work itself was immaculate. The damage from my accident was completely restored, and my car genuinely looks brand new. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the quality of the workmanship. My only concern involves the back passenger-side window. Although my repairs were for the front passenger side, I was informed that all windows were rolled down as part of the quality check. Unfortunately, the back window couldn't be closed due to what was described as a faulty regulator. The team attempted to replace the regulator, but the window still doesn't seal all the way. This was unexpected, as all windows worked perfectly before we dropped off the car. Our dealership will be evaluating the issue and sharing their findings with us soon. Despite this hiccup, I appreciate the body shop's transparency and effort to address the concern. Overall, I would still recommend Gwinnett Place Body Shop for their excellent customer service and high-quality repair work. They were extremely difficult to get ahold of and would sometimes take 3-4 days just to respond to an email. It took them almost 1.5 months to just let us shop around for a shop to repair. Our rear bumper was cracked, and after finally getting a response from the insurance company, they sent us a $1,000 check to cover the repairs. Unfortunately, after shopping around, I quickly realized that $1,000 wasn't nearly enough to get the job done properly. That's when I reached out to Roland Auto Collision. The owner was extremely helpful and made the whole process easy. James the owner and his crew also found that the frame was damaged also. He told me to simply bring the car in, provide the accident policy number, and they would handle the rest directly with the insurance company once the repairs were completed. For the process we did an estimate via text with pictures and then sent the 18 year old with the car to get the final quote. Let me tell you how great this place is, really. Not only did they not take advantage of the 18 year old, James walked him through the additional damage he saw when taking off the bumper, gave options, updated the quote and then got my sign off. Not all body shops are good about being honest regardless of the age or gender of the person needing work. We live in Alpharetta and still took the car to Duluth because of James' service and care. If we need any additional work in the future will we be returning. And our friends who have seen the fixed car love how they were able to honor our request that the paint didn't need to match with colors that look good and we get compliments on. That was a pleasant surprise. I have a warranty through CarMax and Franky's was listed as an authorized mechanic service through RepairPal. Dropping the vehicle off was easy, the communication was great, they always called with updates or picked up the phone if I called them. The repairs were great, no complaints. My gripe is that they had the vehicle 10 days because they originally ordered the wrong parts, the gentleman on the phone made a comment that they weren't aware that my SUV had an advance technology package. They should have known this by the VIN, all I had to do was Google my VIN and the first result told me the specs of my specific vehicle. Having to wait an extra week was annoying, but I can't even say for sure the MaxCare warranty dept didn't make the mistake, so I'll forgive it. Aside from that, everything else went smoothly and I didn't feel like I was being mislead or taken advantage of.
