BEWARE FELLOW VETERANS ON A FIXED INCOME! The engine check light came on while visiting sister in Alpharetta. I ran my engine check meter and it revealed an EVAP code. My sister raved about the service she gets from the Alpharetta Highway location so I spoke with them on the phone and was told they would conduct a "Tool Free Inspection." Now, something in mind must have heard that as a "Free" inspection before doing the work. When they called me about the cost of repairs it was going to be far more than I could afford ($1,200). I don't argue with the estimate, but my concern is with the $170 inspection fee that gave me information about the 20-odd items (ball joints, cooling system, etc.) that I didn't want or need. I wish they had advised me on the phone of the $170 diagnostic fee, because I would have driven home without any fee. As DISABLED VETERAN who lives on a fixed income, I find that paying $170 for a diagnosis (that I had already done with a $14 code tester) that I was not clearly informed about beforehand challenges my Christian sense of love and charity! Beware fellow Veterans and may you be spared the "Vet Nightmares"! read more

Came in for a regular service B oil change on my Mercede and when I got my car back my entire left side of my steering wheel wasn't working, I wasn't even able to get my light off because I wasn't able to scroll through my dash board. 2 days later now my coolant level says it's low so I bring it back once again which I am already 1 hr and 30 mins away from and now there's a random leak. They even told me the European car mechanic doesn't work on the weekends so I'm wondering who even worked on my car! My car was perfectly fine before I came here, and now I have to pay for more unnecessary maintenance and repairs. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!!! The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because thats the only option I have to write this review. I took my 2021 Range Rover to replace the brakes and Rotors because they were cheaper than the dealership. BOYYYY WAS THAT A MISTAKE!!!!!!! The Brakes and rotors were replace after waiting for 3 days. I noticed a strip was missing off of the truck at the top of the rear window which was noticeable, however, no one knew what happened. The salesman, CHUCK said they needed to review the cameras to see if it was missing prior to my arrival and said it had to have happened while on the lot. This is the strip above the rear window that could not have fallen off, someone had to have removed it. After 2 hours and the shop accepting responsibility for the missing strip, Chuck said he called around for the part. Well he was unable to get the part until 4/2023 because the entire window has to be replaced . He said they would order part but no ETA. Now it's expected for me to drive around in a new Range Rover thats has missing parts. They did give me a discount on the brake services but it definitely is not equivalent to riding around in a damaged car for 6 months!! Don't waist your time or money going to this shop. It pays to go to the dealership. It cost more but worth less aggravation! read more

I would like to give Speed Auto Repair more than 5 stars but that is not possible. Jim Brown & his crew go above & beyond to please the customer. I have had my wife's Subaru in there for pretty heavy maintenance and they did a great job with prioritizing what work needed to be done 1st and then performed all of the needed work in a timely way & it was back to us when they said it would be. I'm sure there any many more miles left in that car now that Speed is on the case. My Chevy Colorado was in for tires & normal maintenance when a door got scratched(Stuff Happens). Million Mile Motors, Marietta, Georgia. Purchased 8/2023 If I could give a minus review, I would. This place is nothing but a dishonest bunch of uncaring people who are only in business to make a buck. They sold us a car that they promised was "perfect", had been checked and all was 100%. What a lie! When the car was delivered, the delivery person told us the ABS light was on and there might be a problem with the brakes. They said 5 days later they replaced the ABS sensor - lie #1 - and that the rotors "are fine" - lie #2. Now $3500 out of my pocket later, the car is finally safe to drive. Up to that point, it was dangerous to drive, air bag warning light came on, overheating, bad radiator, hoses leaking, the ABS sensor was never replaced as light and parking brake warning light came on, a bearing in the wheel attached to the sensor was bad and the shop could not get it loose due to rust so they had to get a whole assembly. The rotors that they said were "fine" ended up being so rusted it was a danger as they did nothing but scrape. I was told after sending certified letters about all the problems, in a voicemail on my phone, basically "this is your problem". Please do not purchase from them. They are not honest people and the Transportation Safety Board will be made aware that they sold a vehicle totally unsafe to drive and refused to help make it right. These people should be totally ashamed of themselves, don't know how they sleep at night. And I don't believe any of those "5 star" reviews either. read more

Alpharetta Service Center literally saved me over $700!!! Another mechanic, one that I had previously thought I had a good relationship with, told me I needed to replace some hoses that had to be OEM parts. I decided to get a second opinion & I'm so glad I did!! Mark was kind enough to take a look at it, for free. He even took me into the garage to see what was causing the antifreeze to leak & it wasn't the aforementioned hoses! Turns out, it was a simple clip that needed to be replaced for a grand total of $60!! Mark answered my questions & gave me an estimate for some future work I need to do. There was no pressure to go ahead & get it done & the estimate was fair. I will be bringing my car back for future repairs & I highly recommend Alpharetta Service Center!! read more

"Warning" I am a single mom of two. I paid for a 2000 Honda Accord/Gold $2,500.00 from Kirk Driskell (owner), and Jeff Wright (sales person) in good faith. First, I purchased the car in May 2019 and I still have yet to receive my title for the car. It wasn't until I reported them after three months to DMV about the continued expired temporary tags, Alpharetta Service then respond. I also told Alpharetta Service we were stopped by the police twice, and the police told us that we were given bad tags, because the car was not in the system. Thank goodness I kept all my paperwork in the car. My son and I could have went to jail, if the officer wasn't so understanding. Second, here it is 7 months later, and I have YET TO RECEIVE THE TITLE for the car. I have emailed Kirk Driskell numerous of times, and he has done nothing to help resolve this issue. Third, The worse part of this deal is I do realize most old cars are sold as is, but when a dealership intentionally sale cars that are a totally lost, and the salesman (Jeff Wright)give a customer a fake carfax, they are the low of the low. Had I seen the real Carfax, which I had to obtain from a Honda Dealer, I would never have purchased the car. At this point, I asked Kirk Driskell for my money back, and let him deal with the hassle of getting the title. Deceitful car dealerships like this should not be allowed to sale any cars. Kirk Driskell refused to give me back my money for the car. If I could afford a attorney I would, but I explained to Kirk Driskell/James Wright, I had numerous bills from Cancer surgeries and treatments. I was referred to this shop and after being able to see all of these 5 star reviews and not having much time, literally minutes, to truly "vet" the shop, I agreed to have the vehicle towed to Alpharetta Service. BIG MISTAKE! I was in a bind with my car. I needed to sell the car due to a job move up north PLUS I was leaving for Italy the next day. Alpharetta knew this and took advantage of my situation. The repair work was shoddy, the communication was sub-par and while the fee was half of what was originally quoted, the car was not running even close to properly. The funny thing was I agreed to the higher price initially quoted. I was trying to use an auto consignment shop to sell the car. They refused to take on the sale of the car because of how rough it was running AFTER Alpharetta "repaired" it. The car had major injector problems which was the original reason I had to bring it to Alpharetta Service. It seemed things went south when Alpharetta spoke with the original repair shop and was essentially called out on the pricing of their repair. I can't confirm this because communication has been non-existent. According to the rep at the auto consignment shop, when the car was delivered to them from Alpharetta, the person who brought the car knew the car had not been repaired properly and acknowledged it as such. I put my trust in these people and they did not deserve it. I have given Alpharetta time to respond over the last four weeks to answer my questions and they have not responded. I asked for the replaced parts and an itemized bill and have received neither. I was forced to sell the car at a very steep discount as a result of their work. In my opinion, it would be a very bad idea to bring your vehicle for repairs to this location. read more

Buyer beware. I purchased a car from here in April. When I test drove the car, several wiring issues were noticed: turn signals, headlights, gauges, wipers all were not working. Jeff told me all of those would be repaired before I took delivery. When I got the car, none of them were fixed. Jeff even admitted that he forgot all about fixing the wipers. They won't give me my money back or fix the car to the condition as promised. Now Jeff and the owner, Kirk, won't return my calls. Terrible way to conduct business. read more

2 weeks ago someone cut me off while I was making a right turn on my way to work and forced me to jump the curb. Luckily I was ok but one of my front tires was destroyed and the other front one had a big bubble on the side. I called this shop and asked them if they could fix it if I had my car towed to them. The guy on the phone said yes and he would let me know how much everything was going to cost me once the car got there and they were able to look at it. From previous experiences with other auto shops, I knew that I was going to have to pay a lot of money but I had no choice because I needed my car fixed as soon as possible. The guy called me back and patiently explained everything to me and gave me a quote that was not as much as I thought it would be. My car was fixed by the end of the day. I don't know anything about cars but every time I've had to get an oil change or something fixed, I feel that the previous auto shops have taken advantage of me and charged me for extra stuff I didn't need. I don't know the name of the person I spoke with at the shop but I know that the guy that worked in my car is named Eric. I just want to say thank you for helping me with such a stressful situation and not taking advantage of my lack of car knowledge by overcharging me or telling me I needed extra things done just to charge me more money.
