Originally, I had Akebono brake pads installed on my vehicle based on Scott's Auto's recommendation. Unfortunately, I had to bring my car back at least six times over the course of several months trying to resolve ongoing brake issues related to that setup. After repeatedly dealing with the problem and getting frustrated, I decided to try a different option and asked them to install NAPA Adaptive One brakes, which had been recommended to me by another dealer. Scott's Auto went ahead and installed them without hesitation. However, no one bothered to inform me that those brakes were not really intended for my specific vehicle or that there may have been a better option. Additionally, I was never told they wouldn't be covered under warranty. As the professionals working on my car, I would have expected them to at least tell me that the parts I requested weren't the best choice and recommend something more appropriate. The most frustrating part is that John only told me this AFTER the brakes were already installed and said word verbatim "I would have never put these on your vehicle." Had I known that beforehand, I would never have chosen to put them on in the first place. The entire situation could have easily been avoided with a simple conversation. When I tried to discuss this with John, the response I received was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of acknowledging the situation or understanding why I was upset, he told me "you're a grown adult, you can make your own decisions." That completely misses the point. Of course I can make my own decisions--but I trusted the professionals I've been going to for decades to inform me if something I requested wasn't appropriate for my vehicle. Rather than taking any accountability, John accused me of arguing and said he didn't want to have a debate. I wasn't looking for a debate--I was looking for a reasonable explanation and basic customer service. After two decades of loyalty, the way this was handled was shocking. Between the repeated visits to fix the original brake issue and the dismissive way I was treated afterward, John provided one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Unfortunately, after 20+ years of service, Scott's Auto has officially lost my business and the business of my entire family. Congratulations.

Well got virus on 9, so called the following Monday - yup vm, and asked for either the 23rd or 24th around the same tie. Got a vm with "Ok Friday." Well is that the 24th or the 17th??? Called back and left vm questioning. Nothing, but on the 16th got a vm message from Heather confirming my appointment for the next day - Fri 17th. Called and left message for her and nothing. Can't help but think if you try to make an appointment and you get this kind of "service," how will they do with my car - ouch. Moving along as there are other Ford service places. This type of situation falls upon management; poor management, poor service.

They did quote me a better price for the alternator and battery back in January 2026. I end up need to take it back this month and cost me $1200 more for the water pump/coolant thermostat/drive belt tension replace. Bruce seems nice but I don't think he is as nice and professional as the review said. When I took the car in because the engine make noise, he said "leave it here and I will quote you tomorrow and it will be $140 or more for diagnostic" . He sent the quote the next day via text. When I called he just said the problem is in the quote don't even take time to explain the car problem and just brush me off. When I picked up the car, he just made me pay and say you all set don't even show me where the car is park so I can get it! Maybe they just too busy that they start having poor customer service! I don't think I would take my car back to this shop.

They offered to rebook my appointment. Very frustrating that they didn't call me ahead of time to let me know this. I asked why they didn't and she told me that she was busy waiting on customers. There were two people sitting at the desk so I'm thinking this isn't a valid excuse. My guess is that they saw the coupon that they had mailed to me, in my hand, and didn't feel that a $49.99 coupon was worth their time. I drove over to Grease Monkey on the other side of the parking lot and they immediately got me into a bay. I didn't even have to exit my vehicle. They offered a $25 coupon online, which they honored, which got me just a couple of dollars from the coupon that Speed had mailed me.

And even when my insurance wasn't working with me, Troy sat with me and explained every step of what he'd do to fix my car and how much the whole job would cost down to the penny, and then charged me exactly that. He even respected my request to just get a quote on the mechanics damage only for right now, and I can get the aesthetics fixed later. I can not recommend a more honest and caring place to get your car worked on.
