Booked an 11am oil change appointment online and even got a reminder texted to me ahead of time. When I arrived at 10:59am, I was told that they had taken in a bunch of walk ins and due to being short staffed, it would be 1:30 before they even got to me. They offered to rebook my appointment. Very frustrating that they didn't call me ahead of time to let me know this. I asked why they didn't and she told me that she was busy waiting on customers. There were two people sitting at the desk so I'm thinking this isn't a valid excuse. My guess is that they saw the coupon that they had mailed to me, in my hand, and didn't feel that a $49.99 coupon was worth their time. I drove over to Grease Monkey on the other side of the parking lot and they immediately got me into a bay. I didn't even have to exit my vehicle. They offered a $25 coupon online, which they honored, which got me just a couple of dollars from the coupon that Speed had mailed me. read more

My wife was driving a 2013 BMW X3 and it decided to stop running and she was stranded on the side of the road. When I got there, I tried to get the car restarted and it reminded me of a car that was flooded. By the time we figured out what towing company we might use and talked to a police officer, I was able to get the car started. I figure it might be a fuel pump and called a nearby garage which was Speed Auto. A very nice lady named Kiki said bring the car over and so I just made it to garage before the car broke down again. Turns out, car needed a low fuel pump and a high fuel pump and she said we really could use a serpentine belt too. We had Speed do all of these repairs. I received a flyer that they do "free second opinion" and brought my truck for having the break estimate. My usual place ("honest 1 auto") quoted me over $1,500 and I wanted, well, a second opinion. Speed Auto price, line by line, was about 15% higher than honest 1 auto so I decided to go with my usual mechanic. Despite "free second opinion" theymade me pay $140 for it so I am not too happy about it. Can't qualify the work as they have not done anything on my truck but the estimate was high and it was not free as the flyer mentioned. read more

Upon arrival I was greeted and had all paperwork done within 5 minutes. I was told it would be about 20 minutes before they would be able to check the brakes. In 20 minutes I had their inspection findings. Since parts were had to be ordered I was told it might take 2-3 hrs.. two hours later I received a call that my car was ready. Pricing was good, Service was exceptional, the staff were friendly. What more could anyone want? Six stars on a five star rating system. I took my daughter's Mazda here when she saw the check engine light come on. They ran the diagnostics on it and called later to say the engine light was now off. I guess there was a blip in the computer system that can clear whenever the diagnostic probe is connected. It was a relief there was no engine problems! They are so nice and honest and didn't charge anything which is unusual these days! We are new to John's Creek and hoped to find a reputable auto shop when the time was needed. I used to have DC Auto to do all my repairs. Once Ron purchased the business prices started to rise considerably. Three months ago I brought my car to DC for a price to replace the rear axles. The quote was $200 more than another garage charged. Yesterday I brought my car in for a quote to change the "Y" manifold with The two catalytic converter's, and I was quoted an unbelievable $5000 price. I questioned the owner, Ron Who maintains and that's the price. I had the entire manifold assembly, which included two catalytic converter's, and four CO2 sensors at the muffler store and Buford for a total price of $1217. I suggest anyone who feels the price from DC Auto is unreasonable check it with other dealers in the area. The owner called me upset. In fairness he stated they didn't do the repair, and OEM parts are not the same. It would have been better if he showed how he got to his quote. read more

I went to DC auto about a year and a half ago and thought to myself "finally, a friendly auto shop I can trust with my car". It's been my understanding that ownership has changed in the last year which explains the large price increase and disrespect I received when calling about an AC issue they said they "Could not fix unless you bring it back once it starts messing up" (this is while they had possession of my car) well once said problem occurred the next day, I called back to notify them that the problem is occurring and if it was a good time to bring it up there. Under most circumstances walking into an auto repair place gives me a panicky feeling. I am generally pretty sure they're going to slap me with a huge bill that will certainly cut into my vacation fund and I'll never really be sure if I'm actually paying for what needs to be done or just being taken for another ride because they're sufficiently scaring me into thinking my axle is going to crumble while I'm flying down 85 toward midtown. Oddly enough I don't feel like that at DC Auto. So 1 of 2 things is happening here - 1) the two gentlemen I've dealt with are really THAT genuine and trustworthy or b) they're that good at selling me on the idea of them being that genuine. I do know this - I didn't walk out with a repair bill that completely depleted my vacation fund, nor did I receive a list of things I needed to fix by Friday to avoid killing myself on the highway. Whew! I have to trust my gut on these things and I feel pretty confident that the guys at DC Auto are taking good care of me. I'll be going back for some regular maintenance items (brakes, shocks, etc) and will update my review at that time if I feel differently. But for now I'm pleased. Very pleased. read more

All work they've done has been done effectively, efficiently and reasonably priced. But it goes beyond that: several times, the guys have looked at minor issues or answered questions--even taken care of a little thing here and there--without charging us a nickel. You won't find that at a dealership! They have fixed things an OEM dealership couldn't, and have advised us when it's better to think about another vehicle vs paying big bucks to fix a serious issue. I came in a complete stranfer with what I thought was a bad brake problem. I was told to bring the car in that night after work and they would check it out. I dropped it off and by 10:00 am the next day got a call saying that the car needed back brakes. They could of said it needed calipers or front brakes or whatever. It's a G37 Infinity and I had no clue how to fix it. They were great. I said maybe do a front end alignment and they said no need your tires look great.
