I pick it up, the brake pedal pressure is significantly different; the brakes don't engage until the pedal is at the floor. I assume the hydraulic pressure hasn't evened out, I drive it low speed for several miles, pumping the brakes. No change. I call again, and am offered a free repair, bring it in ASAP, we'll fix it. Cool, thanks. I know you're booked, and it's pretty easy to let an it bubble slip in. I bring it in, they get to it right away. 30 minutes later, they tell me it's ready, I test the brakes. No change. I let the guy know, he gets angry with me because he "just fixed it". You said you fixed it. it's not fixed. I go inside and let them know I'd like my money back, minus the cost of parta. They argue with me, I relent and let them try again. 20 minutes later, significant improvement, but not pre-failure status. I tell them that. They tell me they can bleed it again, they're explaining to me that my brakes I had failed (I was a HEO for over 5 years, I know how brakes work, thanks). I told him us talking likely wasn't going to settle it, and that I'd dispute the charge (minus parts) with my company, and sorry we had to have a rough morning. because I wanted to give them a fair shake, (I came in slightly irritated because I had to drive into Atlanta metro on nonexistent brakes before bringing it back to the shop) I had my daughter drive my truck around. She noted the pedal pressure is significantly spongier than before, but she also says "I don't think it's dangerous or anything, it's just not close to how it was". I'm not going to dispute the charges, but I will wonder why it took 3 trips, an argument, and a third-party confirming the repair was "acceptable" but not to the pre-failure state. I will not be returnin, and I will not encourage people I know to go there.

My recent experience here was not only a prime example of unethical billing but also a horrifying instance of mechanical negligence that nearly cost me my life. ​Initially, their inspection report stated that I only needed to replace my rear brake pads. However, the final estimate and invoice heavily inflated the scope of work, charging me for rear brake pads, rotors, and a brake fluid exchange. ​The real nightmare began a few days after I got my car back. While driving, a brake caliper bolt completely fell out. This is an absolutely unacceptable and fatal error for a mechanic to make. Due to their incompetent work, my brakes failed, and it could have easily resulted in a deadly accident. ​I managed to slowly and carefully limp my car to a nearby, different auto shop to get it safely re-attached and repaired. When I contacted Team Ryan to demand a refund for their botched brake job as well as the emergency repair costs from the other shop, their response was completely absurd. They agreed to reimburse the cost of the emergency repair but blatantly refused to refund the original brake job, claiming that "the work was already done." ​They charged me for unnecessary parts, performed incredibly dangerous and sloppy work that endangered my life, and still felt entitled to keep the money for the labor they completely botched. ​If you value your safety, your life, and your hard-earned money, do not bring your car to Team Ryan. This is not a shop you can trust. ​[UPDATE in response to the owner's reply] ​It is terrifying that you publicly classify leaving a brake caliper bolt loose on a heavy vehicle as mere "human error" rather than "severe negligence." Failing to properly secure a critical life-safety component is the absolute definition of negligence. ​Yes, you paid for the secondary shop's emergency repair--but only because your botched work left me stranded with an imminent catastrophic failure. However, you conveniently left out the fact that you are STILL refusing to refund the nearly $1,000 I paid YOU for the original, dangerously defective brake job. ​"Standing behind your work" should mean fully refunding a service that actively put a customer's life at risk, not just paying off the emergency fix while pocketing the money for the failed job. My warning to other drivers stands: Avoid this place.

They checked over the entire car for any areas of concern and put those into a detailed report for me. I also received pictures with the defects that were found and ask if I wanted to do any of the noted defect items. We didn't do any, the cars old and not really worth much. We will sell the car and buy something a little newer and hopefully more dependable. I ask for an oil change and did get that but felt guilty a little that they guys there did such an impressive inspection and report with pictures that I was getting out on only an oil change tab. Team Ryan was very courteous, timely and appreciated that we chose them. I will be back for service with my newer but used car going forward. Huge and costly mistake taking my car to United Auto in Flowery Branch. Shame on me for trying to…read moresupport a local business that doesn't deserve it, in my opinion. Summary: I understand that auto shops need to mark up parts (on top of wholesale prices) to make a profit. The owner of the United Auto Shop said that 'they mark up parts by 35% over their cost'. After two verbal requests, I finally got (after I paid the invoice) the part numbers for the parts (supposedly) replaced. I looked up the retail prices and saw that they charged me over 2X retail price for identical, readily available parts ($2,800 for parts that I could buy at retail for $1,300). When I discovered this, I called to speak with the owner (Ryan). He said that he would not rebate me 'one red cent', which indicates to me that he's perfectly fine with gouging his customers well above his stated policy. I would think such (in my opinion, egregious) pricing practices were required to be disclosed to consumers and protected under Consumer Protection Regulations. BTW, they didn't complete the work correctly, so I will need to take the car to another shop to get it done right. Details: My car was leaking hydraulic fluid in the retractable roof area and into the vehicle. I had viewed a YouTube video showing the exact same symptoms on the same make / model of car but thought it better to take it to an auto shop to have it fixed instead of doing it myself. Mistake number one was taking my car to United Auto. When describing the issue to the shop manager, he said that he had experience with such problems and knew how to fix them. The manager called me with a rough estimate (not a quote, let alone a written quote) before they even diagnosed the issue, 'for about $5,000' if all of the entire cylinder systems needed to be replaced, which he said he doubted would be necessary. Still no quote. Another mistake on my part. Then he said something that should have been the biggest red flag. He offered to buy my car from me (presumably at a substantial discount) before the work was started. Based on my forty years of business experience, I would say that ethical businesspeople don't do that. But I said no thanks, and let it pass. Another mistake of mine - I should know better. I provided the YouTube video that showed the exact same issue for minimal cost and effort. The representative said that he reviewed the video thanked me and said that he shared it with the mechanic. After doing their work (which is still not complete), which took much longer than they estimated, they charged me over $5,600. Of course, their website states that they can levy a lien on your car if you don't pay in full. So, I did pay, given my experience with them up to this point, and then called the owner to discuss their, in my opinion, egregious charges for the parts (setting aside the extensive time charged me for the work). I requested a reasonable rebate just to adjust the parts pricing from over 2X retail versus what he said was only 35% over wholesale. His response: 'Not one red cent rebate'. I will never make the mistake again and allow United Auto to get near one of my vehicles ever again.
