Went in to get a AWE system put on my Tacoma and they walked me through each step and showed me after it was done and asked if I was happy with the work. They told me it would take about an hour and a half and it only took an hour. Plus it was cheaper than they quoted me. We needed some work done on my son's rusty exhaust system to get his car to pass emissions. We had already purchased some of the parts on ebay for a small portion of the repair. Chris and his crew were able to make the ebay part work and did an excellent job repairing the back portion of the exhaust. It came out of his shop purring like a kitten. Just an exhausting experience. I was told things would be checked that never got checked. I felt like I was being run in circles. The car had to be towed to another shop after spending $1000 to fix it. They were able to figure out the problem. It was the wheel sensor they placed on the car with the new hub. I kept telling Nate that but he didn't agree. Plus alignment was done and the new shop had to fix the alignment. read more

A good shop to visit. I had done some damage running over a sawed-off, jagged stop sign post left exposed by some people doing road work outside my neighborhood. Replacement of damaged part would have been about $1000, and this shop did a 100% satisfactory repair for under $100. read more

The guys were great! Very professional! I have a Dodge Challenger SXT (I call it a "Baby Challenger" because it's a V6) so I first called them to get a quote on the work I wanted to get done which was basically "make the baby challenger sound like a grown up!" The price was exactly within the range Chris has told me. Honestly I was not expecting THIS much but once they finished and started it up to back it out of the bay I KNEW they had gone over and above my expectations. In fact, it went so good I asked Chris if they would also add a Diffuser on the back of the car as well (coming soon!). Chris, I will be back for this Sir and thank you and your guys. I Took my Chrysler T&C to my mechanic because it had a light on and wouldn't pass inspection. My mechanic said it was a catalyst issue and referred me back to the Muffler shop which put a new catalytic converter on 4yrs and 9 mo earlier. I drove it over and dropped it off on 03/15/22. I told them it wouldn't pass inspection and the muffler should still be under their 5-year warranty. They kept the van for 3 days and told me it was not covered because the car had something wrong with it. This was Friday. I told them to leave it out and I would drive it over the weekend if I needed an extra vehicle. I went by late Friday evening and the van was undrivable. They had evidently been banging on the muffler to clear it out and the van wouldn't get over 10 mph. I turned around and drove it back. After hearing nothing from them I call Wednesday and they tell me they are waiting on the new muffler to come in. Friday I call and they tell me they put a new muffler on but it is not covered under warranty because my van now has a misfire on one of the cylinders. They call back later and tell me it needs a new ignition coil. I ask them to fix it. I call Monday almost 2 weeks now to replace a muffler on a van that only had an engine light on (with their muffler they refused to warrant) to tell them to STOP everything; I will take it to my mechanic. Chris tells me the van will be ready at 1:00 pm and they had already put the additional parts on. On 03/29 at 1:00 pm, I came as instructed to pick it up. At this point, all I want is to pay, leave and never see them again. I get in the van and now the brakes aren't working. I ask Chris why the brakes aren't working. Chris who doesn't seem surprised pops the hood and tells me it must be the Brake boost and points at it under the hood. He proceeds to tell me that he will get an estimate on parts and repair costs together for me. I told him NO, I am taking it to my mechanic with Brakes or no brakes. I drove from there to my mechanic risking my life because the brakes had about 10% braking power. After dropping it off my mechanic called and said come pick it up and there is no charge. I asked what was wrong and he said that the Brake boost vacuum hose was disconnected. When a normal layperson pops the hood and looks at the brake boost it is obvious by the naked eye that the hose is not connected. Someone pulled the hose loose or they stupidly bumped it off putting on the Ignition coil (if they actually installed one). Incidentally, they charged me $24.95 for a Power steering reservoir cap which disappeared after they took the car in. After getting my van back and the engine light was now off I realized they kept it just long enough so it would have to be inspected in the next month (so it would be late). Draw your own conclusions from my experience on the type of business they are. My mechanic advised me to file a BBB complaint. read more

We discussed removing the catalytic conveter, running a straight pipe and adding two flowmaster 40 series to the corvette. What was done is two mufflers of the wrong pipe diameter were put on, along with a series of pipes and welds to shrink the exhaust pipe from 2.5" to 2.25" to fit the muffler input, and the remaining exhaust was left as is. Not only did not complete the work discussed, they ordered and installed the wrong mufflers. Better luck to others. read more

My buddies and I replaced my exhaust a year and a half ago, and I have been meaning to get it welded together, but the timing has always been bad for me. Nate and his team are by and far the best guys I've had work on a car - I've got an '89 Chrysler that was driven around up north in the winter quite a bit, so it's underside wasn't a pretty sight - I got very extensive exhaust work done and more recently some work done on the fuel lines and pump, and the prices and turn-around time have been fantastic - the exhaust was nearly half of the price I had quoted at two other places. Not only that, but Nate is one of the most approachable mechanics and businessmen I've dealt with. He's always got time for you and he'll never try to sell you on anything you don't absolutely need. Y'all did a great job. The pipes were not installed the way we wanted, but our truck was delivered and instructions were given by our mechanic. The Muffler Shop did exactly what they were told to do, but the mechanic who delivered our truck did not explain that we wanted the pipes flanged to fit NOT tapered down to fit. However, this is our second time using The Muffler Shop and both times they did an excellent job! All the guys there are very courteous and willing to accommodate any reasonable request! We will definitely use them again, but we will be the one to explain what we want from now on and I know whatever we want will be done to our specifications! read more

Nate, the owner, quoted a new tailpipe for my Wrangler at $125. That was a good price. However, when I picked it up the next day, he told me that they were able to use the old pipe and reroute it for a third of the price! I bought a exhaust system from another supplier and was installing it myself on a Friday evening. To my surprise I found they had sent the wrong muffler. I call Nate and told him my issue. It was 5pm and he said he would wait for me to bring my muffler so he could modify so I could complete my install. My wife and I have taken our cars to the Muffler Shop several times and the price always seems a little bit high. The people who work there have always been friendly and seemed very genuine. However, we will not be using the Muffler Shop in Buford anymore because our last experience there was really bad. Long story short, my wife and I were without a car for several days because of an error THEY made while attempting to install something. By the time they were able to fix what they had broken, they informed us that the battery (which was perfectly fine when we dropped off the car) was not holding a charge now and needed to be replaced as well. After some negotiating they said they would not charge for the battery, which I thought was very fair. But then the overall price for the repairs went up MUCH higher than the original estimate. (original price estimates were nearly doubled) Overall, a bad experience but made much much worse because of the lack of care for us being without a car and big price increase. I'm not saying this place is terrible, just wanted to share my experience with others so they could be warned. read more
