I am writing this review as a severe warning to anyone considering Team Ryan for their vehicle maintenance. My recent experience here was not only a prime example of unethical billing but also a horrifying instance of mechanical negligence that nearly cost me my life. ​Initially, their inspection report stated that I only needed to replace my rear brake pads. However, the final estimate and invoice heavily inflated the scope of work, charging me for rear brake pads, rotors, and a brake fluid exchange. ​The real nightmare began a few days after I got my car back. While driving, a brake caliper bolt completely fell out. This is an absolutely unacceptable and fatal error for a mechanic to make. Due to their incompetent work, my brakes failed, and it could have easily resulted in a deadly accident. ​I managed to slowly and carefully limp my car to a nearby, different auto shop to get it safely re-attached and repaired. When I contacted Team Ryan to demand a refund for their botched brake job as well as the emergency repair costs from the other shop, their response was completely absurd. They agreed to reimburse the cost of the emergency repair but blatantly refused to refund the original brake job, claiming that "the work was already done." ​They charged me for unnecessary parts, performed incredibly dangerous and sloppy work that endangered my life, and still felt entitled to keep the money for the labor they completely botched. ​If you value your safety, your life, and your hard-earned money, do not bring your car to Team Ryan. This is not a shop you can trust. ​[UPDATE in response to the owner's reply] ​It is terrifying that you publicly classify leaving a brake caliper bolt loose on a heavy vehicle as mere "human error" rather than "severe negligence." Failing to properly secure a critical life-safety component is the absolute definition of negligence. ​Yes, you paid for the secondary shop's emergency repair--but only because your botched work left me stranded with an imminent catastrophic failure. However, you conveniently left out the fact that you are STILL refusing to refund the nearly $1,000 I paid YOU for the original, dangerously defective brake job. ​"Standing behind your work" should mean fully refunding a service that actively put a customer's life at risk, not just paying off the emergency fix while pocketing the money for the failed job. I brought my car in for a shaking issue and paid $3,000 for repairs that didn't fix the problem. I had to return multiple times, and management later admitted their standard diagnostic procedure (riding with the customer) wasn't done initially. Communication was poor, I wasn't walked through the work done, and paperwork showed services as "declined" that were never offered. Team Ryan had repaired another vehicle with a small issue, so I brought in my 2012 Jeep Wrangler for a challenging job. Despite assurance by management that they could replace and repair a blown engine, two engine powerplants later, and multiple tows back to the shop, they refused to stand up for the customer, instead blaming my son for ruining the latest replacement after less than 200 miles. Team Ryan blew it. Their owner and I talked at length and his attitude went from help me understand to dismissive. I was out of a lot of money, and no vehicle. At a Jeep specialty shop a few months later, forensics later showed that they installed the engine incorrectly, with the coolant flow totally backwards, causing the exact issue they challenged us with creating. Today, my very expensive replacement engine runs great thanks to the other shop. Team Ryan, you're complete lack of customer support said it all. Talking with my lawyer about next action. A week or so later I noticed oil spots in the garage coming from the area of the water pump repair. Since they were so helpful originally, I call for help to correct the issue. I had this shop do an oil change for my 2006 Mercedes SLK280. That was in July and they also performed a full vehicle inspection. At that time no problems were found, including no oil leaks. At the beginning of December I noticed some oil leak in the garage. I checked the engine oil level on 12/27 and I found it to be over the maximum (picture attached). I took the car in and they told me that they need to replace oil filter adapter gasket and oil cooler gasket. I told them that I am confident this happened because they added too much oil but they didn't admit it. I said that I will pay for the repairs but they should consider giving me a discount. I ended up paying $835.74 for the repairs. They charged me $85 diagnostic fee and another unspecified fees of $49.87 and my discount was only $85. I left a voicemail to the owner, Dan and he ignored me. He had his service advisor calling me with no result. I went to Team Ryan, I paid for the repairs and before I took it back I said that I would like to check the engine oil level. It was over the maximum even after the repairs were done. That makes me to wonder if the repairs were actually done. They told me the car was not sitting on a leveled surface so they took the car back in the shop. I insisted that I wanted to see it myself and when I went in the shop the service advisor checked the level and it looked fine. When I returned home I checked the level and it was over the maximum. This makes me to believe that the service advisor didn't push the dipstick in all the way. I decided not to go back to them to argue about the engine oil level and I purchased an oil extractor so I can do that myself. This morning 01/05/22 I checked the level again and it is over the maximum (picture attached). I also had my 2015 Mercedes Benz GL450 serviced there for an oil change and when I checked the engine oil level it is over the maximum also (picture attached, the lighter red dipstick). I was very happy, at first, when I found this auto shop that could work on Mercedes but I am not happy anymore about their service. . Overcharging. Bad customer service. About 3 months (March 2020) ago Team Ryan serviced one of our vehicles and after using a coupon we paid over $1200. Well, recently (June 2020) our other vehicle needed servicing and we paid out another $700+. I left a coupon for my husband to use but of course he forgot to bring it with him when he picked up the car. When he got home and realized it, he called right back but was told that unfortunately they could not honor the coupon because he's already paid and left. They suggested we hold on to the coupon for our "next" visit. Are you assuming that either of our cars are going to break down again soon that we would need to use the coupon in the near future? It's unfortunate because now you've lost our business. $40 may seem like "spare change" but when it comes to customer service, to me 40 bucks is 40 bucks. Most businesses will honor a coupon if it's given the same day, some will even honor it 1-3 days or up to a week. It's ridiculous that you would rather lose a customer then just refund for the difference. We'll take our business elsewhere. read more

Worth the trip for this repair shop - amazingly clean shop/office - gold level ASE technicians - have a 2010 f-150 with a frozen front brake - they had it back in a day and half with a full front brake R & R, complete vehicle mechanical inspection, tires rotated and even washed! - that afternoon we went on a 600 mile road trip and it performed like a new truck - price was what they said and included upgraded parts - my 'favorite shop' from now on! read more

I called yesterday to ask the price on an oil change and tire rotation for my 2018 GMC Sierra. I was quoted $59.00. I made an appointment and took it in this morning for the service but upon picking my truck up I was charged $89.00. Danny gave me the song and dance about my truck takes over 5 qts of oil, blah blah blah. He should've known that from my initial phone call. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible experience. Had two different appointments set with them for an oil change special through a mailer I received. They asked me to come back for the second appointment and they would get me taken care of. Waited almost 4 hours and watched several vehicles get serviced ahead of me even someone who came in 2 hours later than me. Mind you I was the only person waiting on there vehicle. Dan made no attempt to make it right or the new employee who put me in the pile with the drop offs that get worked in throughout the day. That got figured out while my vehicle sat in a parking spot for 2 hours untouched. Suggestion to management is train your employees better and until they know what they're doing with your system or lack there of don't take their word that a customer told them the opposite of what a customer is sitting in front of you telling you wasn't true. Long story short I didn't get serviced and Dan took out his frustrations from a customer who was giving them all types of heck over the phone about what he was quoted vehicle unseen for an ac repair. I wouldn't recommend going to them for anything. They're dysfunctional and not able to man up and own their mistakes. I can only imagine how warranty repairs are treated. But by all means go there if you want your time and energy wasted by an owner who's attitude and mentality trickles down to his incompetent staff. Took my 9 year old van to this facility to get a good overview of my van besides just a regular oil change. They take off the tires and check brakes and even email pictures to you to see when or if they will need to be replaced. I stopped by and they were busy but asked me to come back in three hours which worked for me. I was then in and out and appreciate the honesty of telling me this versus making me sit there longer. This is the best place to take your vehicle in an 8-county radius--incredibly honest and ethical, wonderful customer service, great communication. The first time I used them, they were recommended to me by 2 other mechanics (who didn't work on my vehicle type) as the best in the area. I brought them my van for transmission issues, and they let me know I had about 5 miles left under warranty, and helped me get in touch with the people who could help me with the warranty. They could easily have made a couple grand off me plus a markup on a transmission, but they didn't. Additionally, they spent energy and time trying to make sure I got where I needed to be so I got my van fixed without spending any extra $$. They also did a full check on the van and found an issue that was small but would have become major that Chrysler didn't find (but it *was* an issue and Chrysler also fixed it as it was still under warranty as well). This group is really looking out for the customer. They do a brisk business and 100% of it is completely honest and upstanding. Lastly, during the TP shortage they texted customers offering to share the large box of TP they had--they gave it away!
