Love this place!! Very honest and timely with repairs and services. I feel very comfortable taking my car here .

I had to have some major work done on my Honda mini van (water pump/timing belt and valve gasket replacement) and decided to try DC Auto. Tom and his team did great job with all the repairs and work was completed on time, high quality workmanship, and competitive prices! I have tried many of the other mechanics in the area and my only regret has been not trying DC Auto sooner. No need to look anywhere else, you can trust DC Auto! read more

These guys sent out a coupon over the weekend, so naturally, my family took advantage of it ($10 off emissions testing = win, plus other deals). Being that we have three cars, the costs can really add up. I, like the other reviewer, always freak out when I have to take the cars in for a lil' fixing. The last time I had to take in the Lexus, it turned into an uncomfortably sticky fiasco, which ended with us probably never going back to that facility. And, there's all those horror stories where these mechanics try to gip you, especially if you look like me: petite girl who looks like she's barely in high school. Lol Oh, and did I mention that I'm not the sharpest knife when it comes to cars? Too bad I'm not Mona Lisa Vito... Anyway - I digress. The location is good (as in, easy to find, easy to enter/exit, spacious with enough parking spots), and the people are very courteous and don't seem shady haha ...I arrived around 11:30 on a Monday and requested an emissions check (something my mom told me would only take 10 minutes because she had came by earlier that morning with one of our other cars), and was informed it would take 45 minutes. As I watched the clock tick by and flipped through the wide array of magazines in the clean waiting room, I was told after an hour and 15 minutes that they just started on my car. Oh man. I left around 1. Yes, the estimated time was way off, but as I was about to leave, a gentleman (probably the owner?) came out and personally apologized about the wait, explaining that due to the coupons, they've experienced an unexpected upsurge in customers. Apparently, about 60 people came in over the weekend just for the coupon services. Impressive. Anyhow, I assured the man that I understood and that I would keep them in mind for future services (which I think would make sense since this place is like 3 minutes from our house). I appreciated the apology and so, I won't freak out too much about the insane wait. Also, I appreciated that they didn't try to sell me other things. Anyway, like I said, my mom came super early in the morning and was done in 10 minutes, which means that if it's not incredibly busy, then they are efficient and effective. read more

I went there for an admissions test last week and the gentlemen at the counter, I'm assuming it was the owner, was extremely polite and made sure his customers were satisfied. The wait for the admissions test was a little longer than I would have liked to of waited but I would recommend this place to my friends and I will come back in the future! read more

Nice people, great service, and coffee. Only problem is it was expensive.

ask for hank, he knows his stuff, awesome, I knew what the issue was and they hit it right on.......coming back to them again. Good job hank. read more

Had to clean up work they took on but had no idea how to do properly. Might be great for mechanical stuff, but wouldn't trust with anything electrical. read more

I needed to have my two engine belts changed in my 2005 Hyundai. I called around to several places requesting an estimate. Pricing was all over the place. DC happened to quote the lowest price and since it was right down the street from my house, I chose to take it there. What a fantastic experience. Great service and great work. A mechanic that does not give you a laundry list of recommended repairs trying to jack up your service bill. I have an 11 year old car, they absolutely could have told me 10-20 things that needed to be done, but they did not. I know where I am going for all my mechanical service. DC Auto Service. read more

Second time at DC. They went above and beyond, again. Had my car back earlier than expected. Thanks Dave!

My son's 1999 Honda CR-V broke down on him. He was able to get it into DC Auto. Tom gave us his honest opinion. We live an hour and a half away and he was very flexible about payment and when we determined to let the car go he offset the repair cost for the car. read more

Guys here are very friendly. Fairly priced, honest, and solid work performed. Thank you DC Auto!

We just moved into the area and I was looking for a solid, local auto service. I got the oil changed in my car, plus emissions test in under half an hour, met the owner who is right at the front desk at all times. Amazing friendly service, straight forward, fairly priced, solid perfomance. All I have to do is to recommend them. Thank you! read more

Very nice people! I know nothing about cars and they showed me what needed to be replaced and asked if I wanted to go ahead with other filters that needed to be replaced as well. Very reasonably priced and I was able to get an oil change, light bulb replaced, air filter, and an emissions in about 45 minutes! All of the people here do a great job! read more

Tom and his staff are great! They work hard to make sure that you are completely satisfied and they provide excellent service. After seeing the negative review, I was happy to see the continuous flow of customers coming for service. I'm glad that I found a place that I can trust..... read more

The owner could not have been more helpful! Awesome experience! No hidden fees! Would definitely trust this shop!

my car broke down in the Kroger parking lot. These guys came out and repaired the car in the parking lot. Took it back to the shop and put it a brake light bulb for me! Can't thank them enough read more

Great customer service and very trustworthy. I recommend their service to other people in the area.

I've been to DC several times and always felt like they treated me fairly and did good work. They have a solid, honest work ethic. I totally recommend them! read more

Have recently moved to the area and was very nervous about having to find a new place to take my car---I've found my place. Mike and Hank were extremely helpful, Hank's knowledge was impressive, and at no point did I feel pressured or vunerable-you know that feeling when a car repairman makes you feel like your car's gonna blow up if you don't get done what they're suggesting...? Didn't happen here! Thanks, guys, for checking one more thing off my list of "need to find a..." I'll be bringing my car (which is the way I make my living!) to you from now on for maintenance! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I Had such a great experience at DC AUTO. Dan at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Jake (Jacob) diagnosed and fixed the window on my car so quickly (got the part within 45min) and finished the job In less than an hour , they were honest, knowledgeable and priced incredibly fairly. They made the experience easy and painless :) BRING YOUR CAR HERE :) they're the best! read more

Great service. The staff is great and super nice. Tom was very informative and informational. I will definitely be going here from now on for all of my car services read more

I had a really good experience here today. I needed my emissions tested in a hurry, so I stopped by randomly while driving by. The staff were friendly and worked pretty fast, and before I knew it I was turned around and on my way. I would come here again if I had auto repair needs. read more

Both my husband and I take our cars here. Nothing but excellent service and work. Always very pleasant and helpful. Love going to a trustworthy family owned business. I highly recommend them. read more

Took my vehicle in because I was hearing a tapping noise coming from the engine. DC told me that I needed a new engine because of the high mileage. Even though I had high mileage, I always took care of my vehicle and change the oil every 3k miles. They told me they would have to break my engine down to tell what parts were worn and that it's best to get a new or use engine which would cost over $2000 dollars. They charge me the standard service fee. I then proceeded to take my vehicle to another mechanic shop for a second opinion. They found that my Exhaust Manifold bolt was broken, which was causing the tapping noise. I paid $350 for repairs. Will NEVER take my vehicle to DC Auto Service and Sales again. read more

I have taken my truck to DC twice in the past 2 months. Every time, I get fast reliable service. The mechanics and managers have always been honest with me. Both times that I have gone to DC, they have inspected my vehicle, assured me they can fix the issue, they meet the time frame, and the price has beaten all others. I could not be more please. Great location, great people, great service. read more

As a woman, I want to find a car service place that is honest and doesn't try to upsale. Unfortunately this was not the place. I went in for an oil change, and came out paying $250+ when they told me I needed to have my transmission flushed and back differential fluid changed. They said I had metal in my transmission fluid so it was pretty urgent. Come to find out, it wasn't that urgent, I didn't have anything out of the ordinary and while it's good for the car, it could have waited. I just want a place that is honest and doesn't see me walk in and think "woman = $$". Is that to much to ask? :(. read more

I was in town at a basketball tournament with my daughter and ran into car problems with her car. D.C. happened to be right next to our hotel, so I took my car over there to have it looked at. The team at D.C was awesome! The went through the car, found the issue, found another problem as well, fixed it and had us on our way. It's difficult to find a repair shop that you trust....you can find one in D.C Auto Service. If I lived in town and not in OH, they would get all of my business going forward! Excellent customer service, treated me fair and told me if I had any issues after I got home, they would be able to help to make sure the fix they did would be covered under warranty. Great Job D.C. Auto! Dave read more

Went there on my lunch hour for an oil change. I used to always choose this place when I was working in that area. NO MORE WILL I GO THERE!!! I pulled in and was told it would be a 10-12 minute wait. That was absolutely fine UNTIL a man walked in and said he would go elsewhere for an emissions test if he was not taken immediately. They catered to him and left me sitting. I had already been waiting 20 minutes by then and they had just pulled my truck in to begin working on it. They left my truck and went to do the emissions for that guy. I had them close my hood and I left. I WORK TOO and MY TIME is as important as the next person's. I wasted an hour waiting on them. I did not appreciate the inconsiderate manner in which I was treated. I hope they made a huge profit off the emissions test. They won't be making anymore from me and oil changes happen more frequently than emissions. read more

My son was out of town in Atlanta area when his brakes went out and D.C. Auto was the only place that had an available opening that late in the evening. They repaired a front caliper in short order and charged me less than my local, family mechanic would have. I'm a car restoration hobbyist who knows good work when I see it and also appreciates a mechanic who is easy to communicate with, and they checked both those boxes. The work they did was top notch and they seemed to understand the inherent problem with my vehicles' difficult to understand, poorly designed brake system. It's gone out many times before and ensured it was fixed right. I called later to ask questions about the nature of the repair, since, again, it was my son who had them make the repair, and I had not been present during the transaction. D.C. was helpful, knowledgeable, upbeat,.. friendly, as they helped me determine what had happened and why they did what they did. How could you ask for more? My son is only 17, and they could easily have taken advantage of his inexperience with such matter, but they instead, took care of him in his isolated situation far from home. It strikes me as odd that a couple of folks posted negative reviews, by writing vague reasoning as to exactly what their complaint was. One customer, Edwin, seems like that type that just has a chip on his shoulder, wherever he goes. Read his post, you'll see what I mean. The other, Mary, seems like the classic customer who just takes it out on the mechanic when her car needs servicing. She was ticked off about a $250 bill.. Wow. Does she have any clue that mechanics have to charge $85 an hour just to keep bread on the table? Guess she'd be happy if they changed her transmission and transaxle fluids for free. Short of knowing the details of her situation, $250 sounds perfectly reasonable for the labor and parts for what they recommended she needed accomplished. Some folks just want something for nothing, but if you're someone like me, who wants straight up work for straight up price.. look no further than these pros at D.C. No, I don't know these guys other than my experience this week with them, and I just wanted to ensure word got out that they're the good guys. Thanks again for the assist D.C. read more
