Don't get me wrong Isaac and Javi have been incredible. The following reasons I don't blame on those 2, a 30-year-old building that's new keypads that look like they're from the year 2000, I think the elevator was built in 1975, Their back lot looks like kind of a small disaster area, but the cats seem to like it. I just got off the phone with george who is supposed to be the district manager for at least this location and supposed have some customer service skills and that conversation wasn't how are you doing? How was your day? How can I help you? He starts a phone call with yeah I'm just addressing your complaint. I'm like OK he's like yeah so what's wrong? So that's what passes as customer service? I did talk to George before when I went to Camarillo, I thought he would've gotten better but he still the same, no customer service skills at all. I wish I recorded that call, 78° is considered climate control. I thought it was 70 but he said that he recorded a temperature yesterday of 78° according to him at the hottest part of the day. Well, he can be making that number up. I don't know if that's real or not and that he went back to oh we don't say it's air-conditioning. Well, duh, I don't go to my storage to bathe in air-conditioning, I can do that at my apartment. Also according to him every second floor unit of every building is always hotter no matter the climate control unit in the building. Well that's funny cause Camarillo wasn't. Then he went into the fact that Camarillo has newer units than Oxnard. Upgrade maybe? Camarillo has units that recycle the hot air or I don't know all the technical aspects of it because I'm not a HVAC tech. So basically what george was saying on the phone is he was telling the customer (me) that Oxnard is older, it only has two units running instead of four, and it's gonna be hotter so get over it even though we're gonna charge you 10 to 15 almost $20 more per month for a system that barely works with insulation that is God knows how old. Now that is how you run a business! OK, no apology from george or we're looking to upgrade, we'll see if we can work this out. As long as george is in charge as a district manager and the company gets the money. I guess that's just how things are right? Well if the owner keeps him employed, he must be getting something from him, but I can tell you the customers aren't and I don't care about the reaction to this review because it's honest. Yes, this location does need a ton of repair and upgrades. I'm so glad I'm going to the new one in Oxnard when it opens up. How do you change out your unit with brand new locks that barely work? I have to play with my freaking garage door for five minutes just to lock it. I would've told George, but he probably would've told me too bad so that's ok. I just wiggle my garage door for 5 minutes every time I want to close it correctly. I guess that's part of the extra charge, hey at least I get to pay that extra cost for that freezing cold 78°that means I'm just gonna be at the unit to get it to lock while I bathe in that cold temperature. I thought new locks were supposed to make things more convenient not less convenient.‍Those garage doors need to replaced too and in 2026 we don't even have interior cameras? Hello 1985. I would not want to keep anything of significant value at this place. This review is more for the phone call I got from the district manager not Javi and Isaac. I understand that george thinks he's right and he won't change.‍ The thing that concerns me the most is that the owner on the Google review seemed like he wanted to fix things and he wants to make this place better than it is and one day be as good as Camarillo, maybe in 3 to 5 years and a couple million dollars possibly. My problem is with how George is and I get personalities. I'm not trying to change him but he's very condescending and when you call him out on something he gets defensive and he's one of those people that just can't take the fact that he doesn't know everything. I don't either but I can admit it. Also, if the owner didn't put the comment that he put on Google reviews after talking to George to me it seems like nothing's ever gonna get fixed and nothing's gonna get upgraded. If you don't like this place then just leave, by the way he was talking I was waiting on that line and I would've honestly respected that even though I would've put it here too. I honestly think if this is how George talks to people I'm glad he's not the owner because to me he sounds like a slumlord. Nothing but excuses,he didn't say it was not gonna get fixed, but he didn't say any of it was and all he did was be disrespectful to me. That's OK we all know that the people that are disrespectful to other people are just taking out their problems on them. I forgive you george, and am glad that YOU are not the owner! The move-in process was quick and easy, which we appreciated. It didn't take much time to get set up, and the front office was helpful at the start. Unfortunately, that's where the positives stopped. The lot was always packed--mostly because people were clearly running businesses out of their units, fixing cars all day. It made parking a nightmare, and we could rarely get anywhere near our own unit when we needed access. To make matters worse, the door closest to our unit was broken for months--and it still hadn't been fixed by the time we moved out. That meant we had to haul our things through the farthest entrance every single time. The price just didn't match the poor experience. We stayed less than a year, and when we finally moved out, we discovered rat droppings all over the unit and some of our furniture had been chewed up. Total disappointment in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. Not worth the hassle in the long run. read more

This is probably the worst place you can store ur stuff. In less than a month ALL my stuff was stolen and the manger had the guts to tell me this the 3rd theft it happens to us this week ( I wonder why would any one would want to store there) Upon reviewing the records with the police it turned out that the alarm went off at the time of the theft but no one did anything, intentionally or non intentionally! And v conveniently the video records was not available for that day! They claim they survey the property every day, which sound a big lie as my stuff was stolen 3 weeks before I discovered it! read more

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST storage facility ever! Luis is the manager and he's a total Rock Star! He's helpful, thorough in explaining the process, walks you to your unit showing and explaining the inner workings of the facility along the way. The grounds are well maintained, 24/7 security cameras, keypad to enter/exit the area. Each unit has it's own alarm so when you key in your code to enter the facility gate it deactivates the alarm on your unit. Likewise, when you key in your code to exit the facility gate it activates the alarm on your unit. Speaking of the gate; it's hours of operation is 6am-9pm 365 days a year. The onsite office is open from 9am-6pm M-S and 9am-4pm on Sunday. Luis or Emmanuel walk the premises regularly which is an added sense of comfort and security. I'm so glad I found this place and highly recommend it to all my family, friends, and colleagues. read more

We are currently selling our condo and needed a place to store extra things while we show it to potential buyers. A major draw for getting a storage unit here versus other places was having the use of a moving truck included in the rent. I felt it was a great bonus to be able to use a moving truck and pay only mileage. Unfortunately, the weekend I needed it, they did not have one available at the Oxnard location, but were very helpful and offered a truck in Ventura. It was my fault for not calling ahead, and on a weekend no less, but I really felt that they did everything they could to accommodate me. I ended up renting a truck myself because I needed it for a longer period of time than they were able to provide, but again, it was my own fault. When we walked into the office, we were greeted and offered coffee, water, etc. from their snack area. Luis was a great help, as we had never had to rent a storage unit before. He gave us a great deal on our unit and our cylinder lock, walked us through the facility, and explained anything that was unclear to us in detail. As we toured the facility, he greeted other people by name, something I found very impressive, and took it as a sign of great customer service. Our storage unit was very clean when we opened it, and was a really good size for the price we paid. Other places had quoted much higher prices, even for their "online specials", and did not offer the use of a moving truck. (Trojan Storage also offers free use of furniture dollies during office hours.) I think Trojan Storage is a great value, and I'm very happy I made the choice to come here instead of somewhere else. read more

We had an urgent moving situation and needed a storage unit for a couple days in the Camarillo/Oxnard area (April 25th-May 3rd). We called 5 different storages; all that wanted to charge us for last months + current month rent when we really only needed it for a couple days. Some places wouldn't even prorate our rent. So we called Trojan Storage up and within 5-10 minutes, we were secured a storage unit at an unbeatable price. Luis was the one that helped me over the phone. He gave me a great deal and even placed our storage unit next to an elevator where our stuff could be easily accessible. They had free moving carts that we were able to use (BIG help), have Uhaul trucks that you can rent right on their lot, and they were always there to help and answer any questions we had. The facilities were clean and well kept and even the bathrooms smelled nice. If I'm ever in need of a storage unit, I will definitely call them up again. Thank you!! read more

This particular location will haunt me forever. Some of my most personal and prized belongings were stolen from me by employees and managers who work there. I was a client for several years. They thought my unit was going up for auction so they cleaned me out prior to the auction, unfortunately for me, I paid my rent to prevent the auction but things were already stolen. Basically, the employees went shopping but I ended up keeping my unit. Flat screen television, brand new clothes with price tags that had NEVERbeen worn, boxes upon boxes of brand new tennis shoes right out of the box. I even went into the office to pay my rent and noticed an employee wearing my tennis shoes. Beware! They'll smile in your face and greet you like a family member but steal when they think you're not paying attention. The employee was actually speaking to me while wearing my belongings. It's sad because I actually liked these guys. They don't have a professional corporate office that returns calls if there's issues. They're a scam and racketeering location that is ran from the top to the bottom. I reached out to the owner, no response. I reached out to corporate for months on end, no response. I'm sure there are some clients who have had a good experience but, if this happens to JUST ONE customer (like myself) it's sad occurrence. Rented a storage room for almost a year here. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The space was clean and in good repair. While I didn't opt for a specifically climate controlled room (though they were available), the standard interior rooms appear to be dry and never too hot or too cold. If I could give them no stars I would! I purchased a lease for a storage unit after researching them online through Yelp and their website. Throughout all my research and when I went through signing all the paperwork there was not ONE mention of required renters insurance. They did NOT require any renters insurance when I signed the papers. Then, several months into my contract, I received a letter from Trojan that I would be automatically enrolled in their insurance policy by the next month and that it was a requirement or to give proof of other renters/home insurance coverage!!!! Not to mention the insurance they wanted to automatically enrolled me in was NOT competitively priced! This made me feel manipulated, lied to, and unjustly treated by the company! If they didn't require and make it known or even mention it at time of signing then they should have waited until the renewal to implement the new requirement!!! They were dishonest, low, sneaky, and mistreated their customer! read more
