TRO is debatably my favorite latte (usually hot but also their iced!) around. Their coffee beans have a unique flavor that makes the drinks extra enjoyable. The flavor is full, smooth, and that extra, subtle flavor that really draws me in! The pastries are delicious. Also a plus. The coffee shop is co-op, alongside a workspace hub. So the space is very open, with various seating available and it's fairly quiet, because they also do not play music. This makes for a wonderful spot to converse. The baristas are all wonderful. Quiet, but welcoming, and focus on every single drink they craft, just one at a time. Which is the best news for the flavor, presentation and energy for your drink. But don't stop here thinking it's a drive thru, it's where you stop, wait patiently for your delicious drink and stay and converse with some of your favorite people. It's a quality time type environment, which I rather enjoy. That's how coffee should be had, with time, mindful, and great company and conversation. TRO is one of my top favorite hidden gem coffee spots in the south land ^_^

TRO Coffee is great because it is inside a public office space. This space is open to the public to do work at. TRO itself is small and has a few coffee and food options. The barista working there was great! She was super sweet and very knowledgeable about the drink offerings. I opted for a lavender and vanilla latte with macadamia nut milk and my tried a honey and cayenne latte. Both were good! I would recommend coming here if you are looking for a place to work.

Went in at 9am, got a hot latte, wanted something to eat but they said they didn't have any food yet. ??? Latte was okay. I went in on Wednesday morning, I was the only one there, stayed for an hour. Nothing special to me. Probably won't come back.

TRO coffee replaced the reverse orangutan at Union cowork in Glendora. Their menu is sweet and simple with some seasonal options. Like any coffee shop they have regular and decaf espresso available for their lattes. I absolutely love how they have a separate menu of sweetener/flavoring and dairy options. I got the pumpkin spiced latte which honestly did not taste very pumpkiny or spiced? I was a little confused because it tasted like your average vanilla latte. The worker there though was super super nice and patient. They have pastries available depending on the day and time. They also sell containers of oat milk you can buy and take home. Guest wifi is also available

I went there for the first time, their drinks were good, we just ordered the basic latte (no syrups) and ice americano) it's really nice of them to have free milk substitute for dietary restrictions but because of that, a regular whole milk latte is charged $7. I don't think that's fair for people who orders whole milk just so they have a better marketing branding.

I met up with a coworker here for work since we try to connect in person once or twice a month while working remotely. We chose this coffee shop as a halfway point. The coffee was delicious--I ordered the brown sugar spice latte cold, but it was served hot. Fortunately, it still tasted great! However, I was a bit disappointed by the limited one hour of free Wi-Fi. After that, internet access costs $30 per person for the day, which was a letdown, especially considering the positive reviews. This could have been a great spot for regular meet-ups, but the Wi-Fi policy makes it less ideal for remote work.

Dog friendly coffee shop. Stopped by for our morning fix before heading to the nearby dog park. It's a little on the quiet side in here since there's a workspace next door. The chocolate chip cookie was 10/10.

I stopped by in the late afternoon a couple of days ago. The parking here is a bit limited. They were also out of most of their milk alternatives but had a wide selection of syrups! I opted for an iced vanilla latte with macadamia nut milk. The barista recommended the drink iced for this type of milk. The ice cubes were on the large side, which was cool and different. The latte was good. It gave me the energy to power through the last hours of work and energy to work on a project. It may have also kept me up longer than expected, but that's what happens to me when I have coffee or tea late in the day. LOL. The inside of the shop is big. There are offices in the back and in the upper floor or section. There are different seating options available as well. I'm looking forward to my next cup of coffee!

I've been coming to this coffee shop for about 4 years, and I absolutely love their drinks. One of the best things is that they make most of their syrups in-house, and they're not overly sweet--just perfect. I recently tried the Eggnog Latte, and it did not disappoint. Also, the TRO coffee beans are a must-have if you're a true coffee connoisseur. Highly recommend!

Used to be The Reverse Orangutan coffee shop. First time visiting since they changed owners and the business name. TRO Coffee has delicious, flavorful iced matcha lattes. Customer service from the barista was amiable and chill. The ambience is the same as the previous coffee shop, trendy/modern vibe. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu and specialty drinks, including their pastries.

Stopped by today to get some work done while running errands in the area. I work remotely a lot so I like to have options on where to work because home get boring! Here are some things to know about this coffee shop: *coffee was great, I ordered a cortado, not on the menu but they made it for me (Yey!) *it's located inside a co-working space *there is street parking but also a lot in the back *there is a two hour limit on the free WiFi and you can pay the coworking space for more (might seem inconvenient for some people but it actually made me work faster and concentrate because I only had two hours lol) *lots of outlets to plug in your electronics! I've attached a picture but I think the table I was sitting at had over 10 outlets on the top of the table for easy access *has a different vibe than a coffee shop, not much socializing or loud talking, everyone is working quietly! I also say they had a coffee cocktail type drink on the menu that I will give a try next time! I'll be back if I'm in the area :)! read more

This is one of my all time favorite spots actually. Their coffee game changed drastically since my first review and it is so so good. Espresso is always perfectly dialed, and prices are awesome. I always come for cold brew which is on the stronger side (which I love). Hidden in an office building but definitely worth a try. This is a regular stop for me! read more

Staff was kind! Space is fun. The coffee was up to par. I generally am really picky with coffee but I was pleasantly surprised with the drip coffee here. The menu is simple, which is nice in my opinion. Space is pretty loud, so don't expect to have a quiet moment there. read more

Hidden gem of a craft coffee shop. As you walk into 'the jungle' (the front of Union Coworking), you'll probably be greeted by Jamil - friendly and knows his stuff about hand crafted coffee. Good music playing, great atmosphere, and unique seasonal drinks. Stop in for a drink to go or hang for a while. I love supporting small shops like The Reverse Orangutan - who reminds us that Starbucks can't compete with the personal touch that a craftsman who cares brings to each cup. read more

Friendly service (always nice interacting with Jamil, as well as the rest of the staff) and great flavors made in-house. Had the Baklava Latte (half-sweet), very good. If I'm craving a good coffee/latte I make the drive here, about 20 mins. Worth it! Going to take home their beans next time, will update review after I try brewing at home. read more

Overall; 9.75 Coffee (normally food section); 10 Service; 10 Atmosphere: 9.75 Cleanliness; 9.5 I am a regular here. I do have to admit their prices are a bit high however it makes up for it, because they do not charge for oatmilk or almond milk options (at least when I was there last). Coffee is quality and they take time to perfect their craft. Never had an issue with service or cleanliness ever read more

After months of wanting to try this place out, I finally made the drive out and it was so worth it!!! First things first, the barista was very kind and welcoming - great service! Secondly, the coffee was so good. Believe me, I am quite picky when it comes to my coffee but this place does not disappoint whatsoever. Moreover, there is no additional cost for milk alternatives which is a HUGE plus in my book. I definitely recommend the cold brew; if you are someone who prefers something a little sweeter but not overwhelming I would recommend you try the horchata cold brew (not sure what the exact name is). The location features some cool wall art on the outside and a few tables outside to sit and read a book. 10/10 recommend you give this shop a try! read more

First time trying this coffee place and OMG!!! I am in love! this has to be one of my favorite places to get coffee now and the merchandise they sell is gorgeous. the inside is very unique and fun and is a great place to do some work and enjoy some great tunes. the worker by the name of Estephanie (?) was so kind and she explained everything on the menu to its full extent and she is very fun! read more

Quite simply the best cup of coffee I've ever had. And I drink a lot of coffee. Is it worth the 20 minute drive for me, absolutely. Rose latte with oatmilk is my go to and the only disappointment is that the cup isn't bigger. read more

The Reverse Orangutan. Such an arbitrary name but so fitting at the same time. A quiet place that speaks volumes. From their coffee to their service, everything here is superb. For it being a locally owned business, the owner (Jamil) treats his business so priceless and cares so much for what he does. From roasting their own beans, to creating their own merchandise and even supporting other local businesses by throwing local artists on their Spotify playlist and having local pastries. 100/10 recommend. I will drive from San Bernardino to Claremont EVERYDAY just to come drink coffee and work on my papers. read more

Jamil is a super down to earth guy who's passionate about his coffee. He took time to explain the process of coffee which I appreciate since I'm trying to learn more about coffee. Although I don't drink dairy milk, he uses a local brand out of Ontario. He doesn't charge for oat or macadamia nut milks! Jamil also uses house made syrups as well. His for here cups are handmade too. He also serve breakfast pastries. Please stop in and support this business because everything is a treat in itself :) read more

"ME" will be me. "PPB" will be the perfectly pleasant barista. ME: Do you have a 16 oz. latte? PPB: We have a 12 oz. latte. ME: Okay, I'll have a 12 oz. latte. How many shots are in that? PPB: Two. ME: Can I get it with three shots? PPB: All of our shots are double. ME: What does that mean? PPB: I can make it with three shots, but I'll have to charge you for the fourth shot and then pour it down the drain. ME: Oh, well, okay. Can I get that with 2% milk? PPB: We only have whole milk and nonfat. ME: You know what, never mind, thanks anyway. What is up with hipster coffee bars making only what they want to make instead of what the customer wants? We do enjoy this coffee place. The main guy (forgot his name) is very helpful and always a sweetheart. He has so much energy and can feel the room with joy. He isn't scared to take a challenge. He has a major love for coffee and will help explain the different options in coffee for anyone. We get our cappuccino and latte here and sometimes try the seasonal options if they have any. Place is quite for the most part. They have offices next door that you can rent and have your clients meet you there which is very nice. I do like this spot a lot. The bathrooms are clean and there is a person in the front desk if you have questions about the building. read more

What a wonderful little coffee shop! I found this place on a whim and I'm so glad I stopped by. Prices were in line with what I expected to pay for a small local coffee shop, and my cappuccino was *incredible*. It had such a rich, complex flavor that will definitely be bringing me back! The barista that served me was absolutely lovely (I don't remember her name ), but she was so helpful and sweet! I truly enjoyed our little chat while she made my coffee (which tasted top notch). My husband and I visited today and had two lattes. One with whole milk and caramel and one with oat milk and macadamia nut. They were both so tasty! We also got a little pallet cleanser of guava juice and some black coffee. Customer service was amazing and it was just an overall deligutful experience. If you are in the area and looking for a good coffee or latte, look no further. read more

When we first walked into the coffee shop I knew I was in love - the wonderful fragrant smell of coffee permeated everywhere. For me it was love at first smellI had an Iced Vanilla Latte which was amazing! We also had their morning cinnamon muffin super yummy! Service was outstanding, friendly and professional. We will definitely return - often! Went back - again! I got another Iced Vanilla Latte - I have dairy allergies, almond milk is okay, but here at The Reverse Orangutan - they have Oat Milk, which is my new favorite! I'm sad to give this review. This place had all the right ingredients. Very cool space, diversity, books about acceptance, cool swag for sale ... But the coffee was not good. Both the espresso drinks and the black coffee had a sour flavor. I hope it was just a bad batch of beans, because I really want independent shops like this to beat the chain versions. read more

4.5 stars. Cool co-habitat/co-working space. On one side you the coffee bar with tables for customers and the office area (work stations) on the other side. The barista was friendly and nice. Liked her and her service, so I tipped her. (Normally I don't tip on one coffee drink). Coffee was pretty good. Got an espresso drink - a Flat White $4. Located inside the Union Cowork Building, this cute little cafe is the perfect excuse to take a mental break. I had a cold brew & my brother had a hot coffee. Both were really good. Options for added syrup & different types of milks are available as well. I LOVE that they are Eco friendly , the gentleman explained to us that they try to have a small carbon footprint. Even they're coffee bags are eco friendly, biodegradable. Can't wait to come back and try some of the other coffee options. read more

I am sure there are folks who flocked to this place, pre-COVID, to set up shop and work all day. Maybe those same folks were cool with paying $5 for a 6 ounce drink while rap music blared, the n word in every lyric, the first thing we heard when we walked in. I get it- the genre of music tends to be explicit but, for me, that as a huge turn-off. It didn't help that the lyrics were louder than the conversation with the barista to place an order. On top of that, my overpriced drink (I paid less for a similar drink the next day in Santa Monica!) was just that, an overpriced drink. My teens ordered iced mochas- one was so strong, it wasn't drinkable and the other had a rich, smooth flavor. That inconsistency stinks when a drink is that pricey. read more

A now former regular, who I will be keeping anonymous for obvious reasons, was banned from the store for openly racist remarks and verbally harassing staff. I was not personally present for it, but that is accurate to my experience with said person. They have repeatedly made racist and classist comments and have pretty heavy handedly push their ideological views to me. After banning said customer, they proceeded to threaten and harass the staff, from what I saw in regards to the banning, the manager Adam handled it with more respect and elegance than I believed necessary. Despite his tact, she took that as an opportunity to go on a tangent of excessive profanity and slurs. I think it's very telling about the type of people who work at Penny that they value maintaining a safe and welcoming environment even in the face of bullying and harassment. I've never felt more inclined to go to penny than I do now. Thank you guys for what you do and keep up the good work. You guys are rock stars fr!!

Unfortunately, my experience with the shop changed because of repeated interactions with the store manager, Adam and the event that had just happened. I want the owners to be aware of concerns I have regarding the atmosphere created by management. On multiple occasions, I have heard Adam speak negatively about the owners and other baristas in front of customers. I have also experienced him bringing personal and political opinions into conversations while working, which I feel creates an uncomfortable/unprofessional environment. He works every Monday so I can't even sit on the only couch and drink my coffee in peace, he's always talking nonsense and forcing his personal opinions down my throat. He never stops talking, and if you try to share your opinion, he talks right over you. He has a veryyy hard time accepting viewpoints that differ from his own. He's honestly on some sort of power trip. The most concerning incident occurred recently when Adam yelled in my face while inside the coffee shop!! Then the other barista, David got involved with his encouragement during this interaction. They surrounded me and were trying to intimidate me together and at that time there were no other customers in the store, and when I tried to speak to them to tell them to stop yelling at me- they went at me harder to the point I had to literally run out of the shop bc I didn't feel safe there. It's the first time I have ever had two men corner me and yell at me- it was honestly traumatizing. After leaving, I informed David that I would never be returning. I believed that would be the end of the situation. However, David provided Adam with my personal phone number without my permission, and Adam contacted me by text after I had already left the store in an effort to intimidate me further. During that exchange, Adam also accused me of being racist. I found it completely inappropriate that my personal information was shared without my consent so that a workplace conflict could continue outside of the store. I also want to address an issue with David. Throughout my visits, you have repeatedly attempted to hug me or touch me when I came into the shop. Regardless of your intentions, this made me uncomfortable. Customers should not be touched without their consent. I also work in the business of customer service, and I understand the importance of professionalism. I would never speak negatively about my employer to customers, push personal or political views on people supporting my business, yell at a customer, or use a customer's personal information to continue a confrontation after they leave. It's disappointing because I did like this coffee shop and wanted to continue supporting it. However, my experiences with Adam and David traumatized me. I hope the owners take these concerns seriously and address them so other customers do not have similar experiences.

The Spanish latte was yummy! The Mayan mocha really hits. You can taste the dark chocolate (I assume no less than 85% cocoa). The inside only has about 2-4 stools. Otherwise, there are two small tables outside with chairs. Very limited with seating so staying to drink is difficult. The staff were friendly, helpful, and sweet.

I recently visited TRO Coffee with high hopes, but I have to say the pictures and reviewer comments were quite misleading. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a small shared workspace with only two large office work tables, two small individual tables, and several office lockers. It felt more like stepping into an office kitchen than a cozy coffee shop. There was an administrative assistant desk near the entrance, which seemed to be there to welcome the shared workspace employees and keep regular customers out of the office areas. While a skilled barista was present, the ambiance definitely lacked the warm and inviting atmosphere I expected from a coffee shop. To make matters worse, only 1 hour of free wifi was available, so definitely not an inviting place to stay for a while. The focus seemed to be more on office work than relaxation, decompressing, and/or socializing. All in all, I wouldn't consider this place a true coffee shop. It may serve some wonderful coffee, but its primary function seems to be a workplace office kitchen catering to employees in the building or surrounding businesses. If you're looking for a place to unwind or catch up with friends over a cup of joe, I'd recommend exploring other options. read more

Despite the odd name that gives dark roast, second wave coffee vibes, this coffee shop is VERY good and serves light roast coffee. Absolutely love that they offer unique house made syrups and high quality drip options. Tried a few of their drinks, including the Baklava latte, which I have been craving ever since trying it.
