I really enjoy getting to try various specialty coffee establishments because they all lend their own twist to the craft. I finally found a day to make a trip over to Reverse Orangutan and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The owner Jamil was on bar and was very engaging. I asked what his personal recommendation would be for the day and ended up with a Pink Matter in hand moments later. It's a non-alcoholic twist on a classic cocktail, the Negroni, and was beautifully balanced. I appreciated the drink a lot, and I enjoyed spending some time chatting with Jamil too. There are other classic coffee/espresso based drinks on the menu, but I'd say try something outside the box and be pleasantly surprised. They also have a great selection of some delectable whole bean coffees available to take home. I had to grab one! I'd recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a great cup and especially if you're someone that likes trying coffee in unconventional presentations. Try it out! The Reverse Orangutan isn't a yoga pose, or the newest hipster band, its actually a coffee shop located inside of the lobby of Union Cowork in Glendora. A coworker and I stopped by the RO for a quick work sesh, which always starts with caffeine. The barista/part owner, Jamil, gave us a rundown of their menu and shared the current teas that they were serving. After listening to Jamil's recommendations, I decided to order the White Wedding tea, and my coworker went with a dirty chai latte. I believe the White Wedding was a Bellocq tea: blended with jasmine, lavender, and orange blossoms. Definitely floral tasting! I added the liquid syrup for a little more sweetness. What really stood out to me about this coffee shop was the atmosphere. The windows are floor to ceiling, providing natural light. There is a large selection of comfy seating available: including barstools, couches, and desk chairs. I also love the variety of natural plants, which add a ton of color and life to the small space! Unlike most coffee shops, this cafe was built to get work done! The RO is quiet, with coffee-goers focused on their own work, and a large number of electrical outlets scattered throughout the space. Just note that WiFi is only free for the first two hours. So quit monkeying around and give this new cafe a shot! read more

Stopped by today to get some work done while running errands in the area. I work remotely a lot so I like to have options on where to work because home get boring! Here are some things to know about this coffee shop: *coffee was great, I ordered a cortado, not on the menu but they made it for me (Yey!) *it's located inside a co-working space *there is street parking but also a lot in the back *there is a two hour limit on the free WiFi and you can pay the coworking space for more (might seem inconvenient for some people but it actually made me work faster and concentrate because I only had two hours lol) *lots of outlets to plug in your electronics! I've attached a picture but I think the table I was sitting at had over 10 outlets on the top of the table for easy access *has a different vibe than a coffee shop, not much socializing or loud talking, everyone is working quietly! Hidden gem of a craft coffee shop. As you walk into 'the jungle' (the front of Union Coworking), you'll probably be greeted by Jamil - friendly and knows his stuff about hand crafted coffee. Good music playing, great atmosphere, and unique seasonal drinks. Stop in for a drink to go or hang for a while. After months of wanting to try this place out, I finally made the drive out and it was so worth it!!! First things first, the barista was very kind and welcoming - great service! Secondly, the coffee was so good. Believe me, I am quite picky when it comes to my coffee but this place does not disappoint whatsoever. Moreover, there is no additional cost for milk alternatives which is a HUGE plus in my book. I definitely recommend the cold brew; if you are someone who prefers something a little sweeter but not overwhelming I would recommend you try the horchata cold brew (not sure what the exact name is). For it being a locally owned business, the owner (Jamil) treats his business so priceless and cares so much for what he does. From roasting their own beans, to creating their own merchandise and even supporting other local businesses by throwing local artists on their Spotify playlist and having local pastries. 100/10 recommend. We do enjoy this coffee place. The main guy (forgot his name) is very helpful and always a sweetheart. He has so much energy and can feel the room with joy. He isn't scared to take a challenge. He has a major love for coffee and will help explain the different options in coffee for anyone. We get our cappuccino and latte here and sometimes try the seasonal options if they have any. Place is quite for the most part. They have offices next door that you can rent and have your clients meet you there which is very nice. I do like this spot a lot. It was ok. Felt like wasn't hip enough for the place. Very much a hipster place. They only have 1 size of coffee.

My husband and I visited today and had two lattes. One with whole milk and caramel and one with oat milk and macadamia nut. They were both so tasty! We also got a little pallet cleanser of guava juice and some black coffee. Customer service was amazing and it was just an overall deligutful experience. Located inside the Union Cowork Building, this cute little cafe is the perfect excuse to take a mental break. I had a cold brew & my brother had a hot coffee. Both were really good. Options for added syrup & different types of milks are available as well. I LOVE that they are Eco friendly , the gentleman explained to us that they try to have a small carbon footprint. I am sure there are folks who flocked to this place, pre-COVID, to set up shop and work all day. Maybe those same folks were cool with paying $5 for a 6 ounce drink while rap music blared, the n word in every lyric, the first thing we heard when we walked in. I get it- the genre of music tends to be explicit but, for me, that as a huge turn-off. It didn't help that the lyrics were louder than the conversation with the barista to place an order. On top of that, my overpriced drink (I paid less for a similar drink the next day in Santa Monica!) was just that, an overpriced drink. My teens ordered iced mochas- one was so strong, it wasn't drinkable and the other had a rich, smooth flavor. That inconsistency stinks when a drink is that pricey. read more
