We actually came across their page through an Instagram suggestion and their garlic noodles is what really caught my attention. I love garlic anything, especially a good plate of garlic noodles. Some can be too strong or just not enough garlic. This one was surprisingly a little sweet but still has that garlic kick. I got mine without any meat to purely try the garlic noodles themself. I love it! It's a bit of a drive for us but I'm glad we tried it and would definitely get it again next time we're in the area. Went for a classic milk tea boba to go with it and it was delicious. After months of following this place on social media, a friend won a gift card! We learned they were open regular hours on Christmas Day, so off we went. It was SO good! I got the chicken garlic noodles and they were probably some of the best garlic noodles I've ever eaten. I also got an iced tea with boba. They have so many amazing drink options! I'd even come in just for a drink! Teas, smoothies, milkshakes etc. they make them look super cute and will add a mermaid tail to any drink for $1. So worth it. The 10 year old of our group was obsessed. If you are environmentally conscious, they offer a large drink size that is served in a mason jar! The thing about Vietnamese food is the freshness & flavors. That's what makes it such a stand out. TT is good for Americanized palates. It tries to be many things for many palates. Pho Hong Long is more authentic Vietnamese food. I had the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio which is vermicelli noodles with fresh vegetables & a protein topped with fish sauce & other sauce if you want. I had a matcha green tea smoothie. This one was ok. Great portions. The egg roll wrappers are different than traditional restaurants use & some of the lettuce looked like it's seen better days. Delicious food and the service was sweet! Restaurant has a cool vibe and nice decoration/lighting. Ate the garlic noodles with fillet mignon and added shrimp. The first bite was delectable! Let's just say they definitely know how to take pictures because they fooled me! We ordered the chicken bites and fries and the fries weren't crispy and had no seasoning. For the pad Thai the beef that came with it tasted like super cheap old meat it had a funky taste I could not eat it. For the pad Thai flavor it tasted like 70%cookingoil 20%chili and like 10% pad Thai flavor(sugar, tang, etc). Horrible would not recommend! My husband even tasted my beef and mine tasted completely different than his! For my husbands pad see ew also just tasted like oil maybe a dash of soy sauce! The bottom of his plate was sitting in a pool of oil it was soo gross he couldn't keep eating it! Keep in mind each dish is about 14$. To top it off the service was also horrible all of our dishes were plopped rudely in our faces the server kid did not care and you could tell. Will not be coming back or recommend! Very dirty and slow service. Garlic Noodles do taste good though. Also when paying , apparently they charged me the wrong amount so 15 minutes later they walk up to me asking for an additional $3 to cover the correct amount. If it were me I would have let it go. Overall: Looks good on social media/ Instagram but the portions are small. Food is very expensive for what you get. Service is terrible and the tables are left with food and waste on them. My colleague invited me to lunch at Triple- T in Gardena, CA. It's located next to The Pan breakfast joint. Before this day, I had never heard of this place. It's located in the middle of a small shopping center in Gardena. The space is decorated nicely, yet simple. The color scheme includes black and red with a mural on one wall and a simple Triple T sign on the other. We ate at the restaurant. There is only one register. It did not take long to order. We were given a number to place on our table after we ordered so that the chef knew where to place our food. There are no servers. I ordered the Pineapple fried rice with a Jasmine Milk Tea. My colleague ordered Shrimp Garlic Noodles and a Thai Tea with Almond milk. The portions were enough for two people to eat. Our food took approximately 10 minutes and came out hot. We were highly satisfied with the taste and the service. The restaurant has their condiments and to-go boxes on a cart for their customers to grab at any time. I thought this was unique and great idea for a restaurant that does not have actual waitress/servers. It prevents us from waiting extra long for a simple box. Kept seeing Instagram & Facebook ads so thought we would give them a try. Ordered their "most popular" items, Shaken Beef w/rice, Wonton Dumpling soup w/shrimp, Pad Sew w/beef, Spicy Sweet 10 piece wings & Popcorn chicken with fries for a total of $62.91 (including tax). Shaken Beef - we ordered it medium rare as previous comments indicated anything more & the meat was like jerky. Even medium rare the meat was tough. It comes with rice & salad. The salad was a lettuce & shredded carrots. No dressing of any kind. More onion than meat. Wonton Dumpling soup - 6 shrimp & 4 wontons. The egg noodles were good. Everything else was skimpy & tasteless. The wontons were 1/4 the size of the average wonton. Pad Sew w/beef - it was okay but the noodles were stuck together & again, not much flavor. 10 piece wings - First of all we only got 9 wings instead of 10. I would have gone back but it would have been a 40 minute drive. The sauce is okay but there seemed to be a chalky or powdery taste to it. Not appetizing at all. Popcorn chicken - we ordered it with no sauce to really get a true taste. Even with no sauce the chicken was sweet. All in all, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The ads look pretty & the food looks appealing but the reality doesn't live up to the hype. If you do decide to try, count your chicken wings. Basically cost us $1.31 a piece. I ordered uber eats and therefore this review is solely on the food. That being said..... I ordered the garlic noodles with shaken beef. Often known as bo luc lac; which is a vietnamese staple food. Unfortunately no one here knows how to make this. The beef is supposed to be medium rare to medium, not well done. No one likes to order Rubber bands for meat. The noodles had sauce all the way at bottom just soaking, yet the top of the noodles were way too dry. Add parmesean cheese to it and you get sand paper. I get it. It was ordered and delivered so food quality definitely drops. But the flavor was so lacking. The beef was super chewy and so lacking in flavor. Also ordered the matcha milk tea. It's iced so it should be cold right??? No it's warm. How?? There's ice on top but the drink is warm as you drink it. I'm assuming these are supposed to ice blended not made hot and add ice. Overall my first time trying this place and it's utter fail. Not one part of the order that I found something good to say about. I definitely will not be ordering from here. Secretly a mermaid.... Triple-T has beautiful and refreshing drinks! I have gotten both their Sunset T and their Mermaid Smoothie and each time both drinks were really pretty as well as really tasty! I've found their drinks to the perfect sweet treat for the afternoon. The Mermaid Smoothie is a little pricey at $7 but you do get a lot! They coat the top with chocolate and sprinkles and the Mermaid tail is actually chocolate too. It's definitely a sweet indulgence. One of the nice things about Triple-T is they deliver.
