A series of fortunate events brought me here, and I found this place. My only regret is that I fell in love with it, and I may never return simply due to distance. This place is so welcoming, on the square across from the courthouse. The staff is equally as welcoming. The fixtures have a new rustic look, and the space is ample. It has that just right vibe for getting some work done, or some play. It has all the fixtures and facets of a family owned town square coffee shop, but also an incredible full bar that features a Happy Hour specials. During a certain time each day they have $6 select mixed drinks. In my time there I had a black coffee, which was smooth and served in a branded ceramic mug. I also had an Old Fashioned, which came in a nice highball glass, with the sphere ice cube. For the Happy Hour I didn't expect any say, but he asked "Rye or Bourbon?" I was so thankful for that. On the way out I snagged a mug from the little shelf of branded products they have (shirts, hoodies, cups, barista accessories) and noticed that they also sell cigars and pastries. While they don't have a kitchen, you can order food from Rooster's Roadhouse that will be brought over. I REALLY wish that this place was closer. The best thing about small towns, is small business owners. Love them, and frequent them as much as you are able! This place is worth visiting frequently. While I wouldn't consider this a bar, a few might. However, this is more of a coffee bar w/ a kicker! The bar does have beer, whiskey and wine. But our first trip, we couldn't get a drink because the bartenders were inundated serving cream sodas. However, we are glad we went back! Once we had the chance to order, the people working were very nice. We had a little after dinner Irish coffee, and sat down in a very comfortable nook. The ambient lighting was mellow, and were kind of secluded. This was fantastic. Plus, I love a hidden gem of a late night coffee place (avoid the mermaid!). I was intrigued by some of their own twists such as the rosemary lavender latte. I didn't try it, but I'm interested in going back forit! We love how the square has been adding more and more for people to enjoy. This coffee bar is not only coffee but offers liquor, wine, and beer. The even have a few small bites to eat. They partner with the restaurant next door. We enjoyed some sandwiches and empanadas. (The empanadas are small but they are good!) They just recently opened up a small humidor by the bar full of cigars. We went to the opening for the add on and loved meeting the owners. Everyone has been very personable. I absolutely love TSCB. They always have friendly baristas and bartenders who are willing to help you find what drink will be best for you or to surprise you if you're willing to explore. They just finished their 12 Drinks Til Christmas and every week was a treat. 100% would recommend the World's Best Coffee. And their Nola cold brew is also an excellent drink for warmer days. The ambiance of this place is welcoming and enticing me to stay for hours on end. My aunt and uncle have been raving about this place. So after Friday night dinner, we strolled over to have some drinks at the bar. The atmosphere will automatically take your breath away. It's spacious yet quaint. It's dimly lit but with enough lighting so you feel at home and comfortable. The decor set the perfect ambience for a place on Decatur square - country but classy. A single man band was playing the night we went. The bar served us beer, whisky, wine; they have plenty of options. My husband was pleased to find Balcones whiskey, his new favorite. Quaint place. Small food menu and after 2 it is a bar? I had a vanilla latte and my lovely wife had the 333 blend hot tea. It all started sort of sketchy with two cups with lips stick. They replaced them right away with clean ones. Aside from that everything else was good. We tried out their truffle Parmesan tots for 8.50. They were tasty and not like the sonic tots we all eat. This place is in my hometown, and I always make sure to stop by on visits home. I would be here every day if I lived in Decatur. I have never had a bad experience. I love their seasonal drinks like the Yam Spice Latte or "Worlds Best Cup of Coffee," but even just a simple vanilla latte or unsweetened latte is fantastic. What a beautiful coffee shop. I love it! The wood countertops, the unique light fixtures, the bar seating by the front window, wow. They did a great job with this place. There are plenty of places to sit whether you want to be in a booth, chairs, or a bar stool. The coffee was amazing to go or to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. There wasn't a huge variety of coffee but they do have signature cocktail coffees that are delicious. The Irish coffee was SO GOOD. Of course you cannot get it to go but my goodness it's worth hanging out for. There is a full bar along with the coffee or mesh the two for those signature drinks. They have merchandise if you must! Coffee mugs that look handmade in a pottery style in two sizes, and don't forget to get a bag of beans! I didn't try the tea but they had quite a few options for loose leaf tea. Literally the best coffee in Texas, I'm from Austin and was traveling north and didn't expect to find such a fantastic coffee shop in a little town just outside of Fort Worth. They have dairy free options including oat milk which is more than I can say for certain big name coffee shops. The baristas recommended this amazing iced blueberry oat milk latte that was heaven in a cup. I think is was The Fisher with oat milk that I got as the other latte and it tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, yum. I like to read yelp reviews before I visit a shop and one almost turned me off of this place but I'm glad I didn't let it. The baristas were not pretentious, they were however very knowledgeable. The coffee was smooth, earthy, and not overly acidic. I know it's out of the way but I'll be back. read more
