Today, I had Chris (from Trinity Heating and AC) inspect and diagnose my AC system. For context, it has been several years since I last had my AC system inspected and tuned-up, so I decided to preemptively take this action prior to the hot summer season. As I often do, I researched online for reputable businesses for this project. I decided to go with Trinity Heating and AC because of their countless positive ratings and reviews. From the beginning, Chris managed my appointment expectations by providing me periodic reminders and ETA notices via text. When he arrived, I could clearly observe that he wanted to not only provide an excellent service experience, but to get to the bottom of all my concerns and address them appropriately. Off the bat, I knew that he was empathetic, professional, and caring as the first thing I noticed was that he put on shoe-covers prior to entering my home. It was definitely not for show, because he would take them off or put them on each time he would exit/enter my house. Throughout the visit/inspection, he would thoroughly explain how the AC system works at a high level right down to the detailed minutiae. I can evidently tell that he is highly knowledgable of his craft, as he was able to explain the parts and their functions in a clear and concise manner. He would also communicate with me at level that I can easily understand, as he didn't use overly technical terms or jargon. Needless to say, Chris provided service well above my expectations. He looked and cleaned my electric panel and various AC parts, while meticulously tightening every screw. When it came to identifying issues, he was able to show and describe each issue and explain how they negatively affect the AC system. Another thing I noticed is that Chris takes pictures of the work at hand. Not only would he take pictures for record-keeping purposes, but to also show me what work is being done. For the more complicated issues, he utilized his tablet to draw illustrations which showed how things should work more clearly. When it came down to pricing, I find his prices very competitive. He provided me with multiple options that best suited my current needs. Regarding those options, I did not feel any sense of sales pressure. As part of his service, Chris indicated that he will contact me several times regarding filter replacement reminders, the condition of the unit, and maintenance. Of course, I can set my own reminders, but for Chris to proactively provide this service is beyond expectations. Needless to say, I highly recommend Trinity Heating and AC. I was shopping around to replace an aging R22 system that was about 20 years old and I had several competitive quotes and Chris from Trinity came out ahead. I think I grilled him with technical questions and he had all the right answers. I ended up with a new indoor unit and high efficiency outdoor unit. I had a very old HVAC system and really knew nothing about how to choose so I did my research. I first got some very cost effective estimates but the contractors did not look at my ducts and did not bring up the city permit. I know that without a permit there may be problems when selling a house so this was a glaring omission to me. When Chris came to give me the estimate he is the only who looked at my ducts and took some pictures. There was asbestos powder on the duct and a piece of wood puncturing it and this concerned me as I know the dangers of asbestos. Chris assured me that this could be easily corrected and he would include the asbestos abatement in the quote. This included setting up the appointment with asbestos specialists. When he did my estimate he gave me multiple options and explained each one to me in an easy to understand way. He also listed each specific service that would be included. I was so impressed with the details of the estimate and the depth of his knowledge that I made my decision very quickly. From that moment on everything went smoothly. Chris brought over everything to be installed the night before and unloaded everything into my garage. Our Ac is very old so we weren't sure what the problem was, since the fan would not spin and only make a horrible noise. Chris switched out a couple of parts to get the AC up and running! We did have to have Chris reach out to an electrician to fix the breaker from our electric panel as well which was very very helpful. Chris, the owner of the company was really easy to work with. Great communication and service. He kept his word and was fair with his price. Chris took time to explain what the problems were, what he was doing and why it needed to be done. This made me feel confident he knew his trade. I had a collapsed duct and undersized ducts. My Breaker box had a A/C breaker that was over the recommended voltage and he replaced it with the correct one. He installed a drain for my furnace and a sensor that shuts it off if water is detected. A new filtration system was installed and the new filter gives my system more flow and only has to be changed out 1 to 2 times a year.
