Sano has the BEST customer service. I initially had Christian and Stevie out to clean and service the AC. I knew this was something I had neglected. I also knew that the prior owners of my house had not handled many things very well. I learned that my house originally had heat but no AC and when it was added the ductwork was not enlarged as it should have been. I also learned that there was lots of asbestos up in the attic crawl space. The guys also offered that, if I had time, they could pull out the furnace and check on its condition. That's when they discovered a couple of hairline cracks. I asked Christian to lay out various options, recommendations and costs. He also laid out financing options. He presented these to me and I made my replacement decisions. Sano had an installation crew at my home two days later. Noel and his cohorts were remarkably hardworking, efficient, and considerate. They even added a strap around my water heater for safety. (See before and after pictures below.) They also offered a possible solution for my SIL who often and easily gets cold. They said if it didn't work out, then they could change it. It turned out not to work well for her so I called Sano yesterday and they sent Manny out this afternoon to take care of this. Over the course of the install I worked with 8 different Sano HVAC members from their sales, front desk, install and repair teams, all with an exceptional customer service and professional quality of service mindset. Daron first responded immediately to my Yelp request to evaluate our failing R22 system and without hesitation climbed into a hot, difficult to access attic to verify my options and provided answers for all my excessive questions. Since our system was down, they sent the very experienced Jaicub and Tyler master installers out next day on a Saturday, to complete an extremely clean install of a new R32 heat pump air handler and condenser system. Friendly Chris had to come back out due to a supply house mixup beyond their control, but after replacing the missing parts startup went smoothly and the family was so happy to have running AC again! The important thing to remember is that not all jobs go smoothly and whether there is a problem that occurs in or out of control of the contractor, it's still a problem to the customer. What separates Sano HVAC as a 5-star provider for me is not only how they handle the sales and install so smoothly, but more importantly how they handle the problems. This is a part that costs approximately $40 and takes about five minutes to install. I got a second opinion from a reputable heating company and ended up paying $150 dollars. When I called Sano and told them about it, they said, don't you think our expertise is worth some money? I said yes but not $450 dollars. My advice is get a second opinion if they want to do some work I do not recommend this company whatsoever not a profit margin of $450 for 10 minutes work. read more

What separates Sano from others is the complaints from their critics. Or shall I say lack thereof? That was my main decision to give these guys (and gals) a call. Sam and Anthony came out and quickly diagnosed our problem. We had the AC on for an hour and it started to smell like something was burning. Turns out we had several issues with our 17 year old unit. They gave us options on replacing the parts or the entire unit as well as pros and cons of each. The choice was easy for us since repair costed more than half the price of a new unit. Day of installation our techs were Randy and Mark. They were professional and worked so dang hard. I felt guilty that they didn't even take a lunch break. They take so much pride in their work, did a great job with the install, and even made the area where my units is stored looked three times better than before. This made me realize whoever did the previous job did some janky stuff. I wish I had taken before photos because it is such night and day from before and after Sano. Randy was also kind enough to give me some tips on things we can do to maintain our AC unit. Oh did I mention that there was no funny business with pricing? I called for a dryer duct cleaning and they were able to get a technician to my house same day. Jacob came to the house and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He cleaned out the vents, in what I felt was a timely manner and left the area pristine. He cleaned up all around and even was ensuring that there were no leftover trash or lint around my lawn. I really appreciate his eye for detail. After finishing the job, Jacob thoroughly walked me through what he did and fixed for me as well as pointed out some things that he visually saw that could use some attention. I really appreciated him informing me about somethings that I should probably be up keeping around my property. Over the span of two days, Jaicub and Tyler came to my little old Anaheim home (built in 1952) to install the heat pump HVAC unit including all the ducts in the attic. Jaicub was very professional & respectful with Tyler in the way he communicated with him through the install. Tyler got up in our very very very warm attic to install the ducts (I have nothing but respect for him). They had their safety precautions in place to prevent any heat illness. Both communicated clearly with each other and were both friendly and respectful to me as well. My beagle loved them both and was excited to see them back on day 2! I was impressed by how quickly they removed the old unit and ducts. After the new one was installed & tested & Jaicub went over the digital thermostat that came with the unit was when payment was due. Once I "tapped" to pay, the adventure had come to a conclusion. I highly recommend Sano and their fantastic group of technicians any day. It might also be worth mentioning I had another HVAC company out to quote me and when I called to let them know we would be going with Sano, the rep said not only did they work with Patrick, the owner, in the past, they said they even highly recommended him. My ac was not working and gave them a call. Made an appointment for $69 to diagnose. Technician arrived on time and was professional. A little while after, a supervisor also arrived to check in. I was quoted $2k to repair an electrical short. They stated they couldn't determine where the short was so an entire new wire needed to be ran, plus the short had messed up my pump and another piece outside. On top of that their very thorough inspection suggested additional work for another $5k. Called another company and they diagnosed a short but located it on the unit. I was replaced for 10% of what this company quoted. Maybe because the pump is working and the other burned piece outside also works and did not need replacing. Not sure, all I know is my AC works fine now, and it didn't cost me thousands. No complaints on the customer service, but the upsell is real. read more

I expected that we'd needed to do a replacement of our unit as it was close to 20 years old. Patrick explained what he thought our best options are and was not pushy in trying to sell anything. I explained we would be looking into doing a full replacement but not until the future - he said he understood. He took payment with a credit card (Sano was about $20 cheaper than the other vendors as they had a promotion going) and gave the bro-fist as he left. In a very competitive business, Sano really stood out with their professionalism and lack of trying to hard-sell anything. Patrick Higgins was the technician, and he was great. Since the air blows and the fan spins, I thought maybe it was the coolant. But when I turned on the unit, Patrick immediately diagnosed the problem as the capacitor based on the sound. He then tested the capacitor with a volt meter and confirmed the problem.
