It seemed like the AC was not performing satisfactorily on the second floor, but his measurements indicated the system was outputting maximum cooling. Remarkably no repair was recommended. Frankly not many AC companies operate that way. There's always something that needs a fix. Andre is a smart and honest technician. I have had the pleasure of working with True North Heating & Air on multiple occasions. In the day and age where good customer service and follow-through have been thrown by the wayside, this has not at all been my experience with their quality of work. I first reached out to Dmitriy at True North Heading & Air over a year ago as an emergency request because our A/C had stopped working. We were getting ready to leave on a trip to Europe and so getting it fixed was a matter of urgency. Dmitriy made it a priority to get immediately over to our house to do an assessment and provided us with a quote. He took a look at our system and explained that we needed a new coil. The previous company that we had worked with for years had quoted as 8k for all the work, which was the cost was supposed to have included our warranty. Dmitriy got on phone with the manufacturer of the coil, confirmed our product was still under warranty, and quoted us a 1/4 of cost compared to the other bid. So, we hired him for the job. He took care of the entire warranty process and worked with our renovation contractor to get the job done while we were away. I was so impressed with the job, that the next time we had a minor repair needed on our unit last winter, we once again reached out. He got to us in a timely manner and once again took care of the job for marketable less than what the other companies had quoted us. Fast forward to this summer and our compressor was failing. As is the case with most utility emergencies, it broke down later in the evening on a Friday night during a heat wave. Dmitriy got to our townhome early the next morning, identified the problem, and fixed it per the usual: fast, efficient, and right within our budget. He checked in shortly thereafter to see how our unit was holding up and said he wanted to have someone take another look at our compressor to make sure it wasn't dying. He sent a guy out to look at it, to which thankfully there weren't any issues. The bottom line is, this is the kind of company you call when you're ready to establish a lifetime relationship. Every experience we have had with True North Heating & Air they provide us with top quality work. They've never sold us unnecessary things like memberships or tried to con us into replacing parts that don't need to be fixed. Their quality of work is top notch, prices are excellent, they are efficient, handle emergency situations, and are excellent at follow through. I have recommended them to countless friends and family because they represent top quality work that is rare to find nowadays. My only complaint is that I can't hire them to be contracted for the rest of the issues that come up in our house because they represent a seemingly rare work ethic to which they are clearly passionate about doing an exceptional job. HVAC stopped cooling at my rental property in Irvine, my management company hired a different company to check it out. They found that the compressor had seized, which they quoted me a price for it, but then, they also said I have to replace the fan (not broken) +$850, clean the coils +$350, replace the filters (they were changed 2 months ago) +$95. They also charge +$125 to inspect (which can be credited towards any repairs). Total was well over $5k and there was no way. I called another company that wanted to do just the compressor for $4.5k, but then he said it could cost even more if they run into any trouble and I have to accept that. Idk why there are still companies that operates like a used car lot.
