Used these guys a couple times now. The techs are very friendly, professional, and smart. I go with them primarily because they don't play the stupid game where they want to charge you some stupid diagnostic fee. I tell them what the issue is, I get a ballpark estimate so I know what I'm getting myself into, and they come and fix an issue or complete a project, and may I say quickly! read more

I am planning to replace my existing air conditioner and furnace with a new heat-pump system. So far, my experience with this company has been excellent. I received proposals from several HVAC contractors, and the proposal from Maksbuilder was by far the most technically complete and detailed. Maksym and Igor took the time to inspect my complicated zoned system, explained their findings, and addressed my questions thoroughly. I especially appreciate their honesty. They clearly explained what was included, what could not yet be determined, and what possible additional costs might arise instead of surprising me during the installation. Their price is also very fair for the equipment and scope of work. I am now preparing to sign the contract and will update my review after the installation is completed. read more

Our AC stopped producing cool air during a heat wave. I sent out a request and Maksbuilder responded instantly. Maksym Identified and fixed the issue almost as quickly: a blown starter. He was efficient and professional, had the part on hand and we had cool air blowing again in no time. I will definitely reach out to Maksbuilder again when we need AC work. read more

Absolutely incredible and honest service. Maksym responded to my Yelp on the first day of this heatwave and slightly after hours. We were so worried that we can't get anyone out as it was 101 outside and with no air at all it was also 100 inside. Maksym said he can do a quick trip first thing in the morning. He came out, diagnosed the problem, provided a quick and honest solution and fixed the problem. AC and cool air immediately came back on. Definitely will be using Maksbuilder again. read more

We recently had Maks Builder install a new HVAC (air conditioning and heating) system for our home, and we couldn't be happier with the result. The crew was extremely professional, prompt, and easy to work with. Their pricing was very reasonable, and the quality of their work was top-notch. If you need heating or cooling services, I highly recommend Maks Builder! read more

After two weeks without AC, I finally found someone honest and knowledgeable. Before Maksym, I had two other companies come out. The first technician was dishonest and even cut one of the wires on my AC unit while I was standing there, then tried to charge more because my landlord was paying. The second technician spent a long time troubleshooting but never noticed the missing wire and recommended replacing the compressor or even the entire AC unit for $4,000-$7,000. Thankfully, Maksym came out the same day. He quickly diagnosed the real problem, replaced the starter, noticed and repaired the missing wire, and had my AC running again in no time. His pricing was fair, reasonable, and a fraction of what the other companies wanted to charge. Most importantly, he fixed the problem instead of trying to sell me an unnecessary replacement. I highly recommend Maksym if you're looking for an honest, skilled, and trustworthy AC technician! read more

The technician was very knowledgeable but at the end he charged $750 for effectively clearing the drain pipe. He did re-wire the 24V To bypass the safety switch that is not functional. The switch was not replaced since he didn't have the part and suggested to call back to replace for extra charge for parts And labor. The issue was initially diagnosed as spliced wiring problem for the 24V from the furnace to the condenser that requires replacement. The $750 would be for the section of the wire in the Attic only and does not include wiring in the walls or underground. That would have been a much higher charge. He didn't attempt to look at the furnace in the attic during the initial visit, so the diagnosis was not complete. When he came for the wiring work, he immediately recognized it was a plugged drain. He cleared the pipe and things started to work. I felt $750 was extremely expensive for diagnosing and clearing the drain pipe! He could have recognized the misdiagnosis and adjusted the price but he didn't. I would have given him high marks if the price was more commensurate with the work. read more

Job well done! Long story short- AC stopped working last night. Went on Yelp this morning at 10am, got connected, scheduled diagnostics same afternoon, Igor showed up, explained the work and got the work done! Clean, no fuss, honest work. Thanks, Igor! read more

Maksym, I can't thank you enough for coming to the rescue on this hot day. Thank you for coming on time, prepared with shoes covers, diagnosed the problem quickly, and helped my family and I get a cool night's sleep on this hot summer night. He came after hours, updated me with his time of arrival, and he was very respectful of our home. Thank you for not upselling me or taking advantage of my need. You have surely earned my loyalty and will definitely contact you for future HVAC repairs. Thank you so much for your help and wishing you great success! God bless you! read more

Truly one of the most professional home repair people I've had the joy to hire. Maksym and his team were awesome! After helping our 22 year old system squeeze 6 more month of cooling out, we finally needed a new system. Maksym charged a very fair price (I had quotes from places like the Costco HAVAC people and a few others that were crazy high prices and full upselling). I was shown a variety of options by Maksym and wasn't sold on anything but rather just given the differences and I made the choice that best fit our need. Maksym came back a few days after the new system was installed to double check the new system after being used for a few days to assure it was all working as promised. While we won't need any help in this area soon, we would 100% recommend you consider using Maksbuilder! I'm confident you will feel as satisfied as we feel! read more

The team did great work to install my new heat pump to replace my old AC that was 38 years old. Highly recommend this company.

Just had Maksbuilder intall 2 A/C and heating units in my two story home. Very impressed with there service, professionalism and follow through. Not to mention that their bid came in lower then two other companies for the same equipment . What I also liked the most after the got every intalled and running, when they left there were so signs that they were even there - very good clean up. I would 100% with no hesitate recommend Maksbuilder. read more

Absolutely incredible work. Thorough and honest. The price was the only honest and fair price I got, given I knew the scope of work and how much effort it was going to be. They arrived on time, worked hard and fast and left no mess. 10/10 would use them again. In fact, I will be calling them for a summer HVAC maintenance soon! read more

I was desperately in need of someone for my leaking pipe in the midst of heat rush. All the ones recommended were too busy. Texted Marksbiilder the night before and called early AM. Dimytri came over fixed my issue and also changed filters even. Super nice super knowledgeable. I strongly recommend this company and Dimytri read more

I have not written a review in quite some time, but found compelled to lift my lazy fingers for MaksBuilder. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend. Maksym and Igor accommodated my broken heater the same day, with haste, and even stayed past what I would consider normal working hours to finish the job. They charge VERY reasonable prices and I ended up paying a fraction of what was quoted by their competitors. Maksym is responsive in his communication and coordinates his team effectively. Igor is simply a smooth operator and is very professional/pleasant to interact with. I will be honest - I do not think I've been this happy with a home improvement/maintenance company before. I hope my enthusiasm convinces you to give them a try...you won't regret it. read more

Yelp is starting to become my go to resource for various projects around the house. This project was no different. The AC unit wasn't working at my property in the OC and looking around Yelp, I came across Maksbuilder. With the limited number of reviews, I was a bit skeptical. I sent out multiple requests to various companies. With Maksbuilder, Maksym replied himself. We got on a call quickly and Maksym said that he could go out and assess that same day, but likely it would be down to two items of failure. Maksym arrived during the window and found the issue as he anticipated and repaired that unit. The AC works as it should now. I'll also mention that Maksym went into the property to do some general maintenance around the ducts, which I didn't expect. A few days later, Maksym checked in to see how the unit was holding up. The service, I'm quite happy with, to the point where I've scheduled him on an annual maintenance for the unit. read more

Maks is terrific - he is one of the rare people you find who is excellent at what he does, reasonable and fair in his business practice and just a really good human being. I wish I could find service people like him for everything we need (plumbing, roofing, housekeeping). The reviews I read were consistent with what I found - great communication, timely response and very professional He's a gem and we're happy to give him our highest recommendation. read more

Absolutely wonderful. Prompt, great communication and did NOT upsell(when he could have, it's hot and my wife is 32 weeks pregnant). He gave an honest assessment and took time to explain the problem during a hot summer that saved us a lot of money. I'll be saving and sharing his contact with friends in a similar situation as he is now known as "our HVAC guy". Thank you Maksym! read more

Ihor installed our new air conditioning unit, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. His work was neat and well done, and you can tell he really knows what he's doing. He's also very friendly and pleasant to deal with, which made the whole process easy. The price he offered was excellent and more affordable than others we checked. We're very satisfied and would definitely recommend him. read more

Maksym came out to handle maintenance on our AC unit, and he did a truly professional job from start to finish. He was clean, efficient, and left everything spotless. Communication was excellent--he replied quickly, gave a clear timeline, showed up exactly when promised, and stuck to fair, straightforward pricing with no surprises. As someone who values no-nonsense service, I really appreciated his direct approach, reliability, and quality work. The AC is running great now, and he explained everything clearly along the way. We'll definitely be calling Maksym again for any future HVAC needs, and I recommend him to anyone in the area looking for dependable AC maintenance or cleaning. Thanks, Maksym! read more

Highly recommend Maksbuilder for HVAC installation. Maksym came out to estimate quickly and in his follow-ups identified issues with other contractor's specifications, such as mismatched air handler pairing. This attention to detail is what gave me confidence to go with him. He was kind enough to work around my schedule to get installation done quickly. read more

Igor came out early on a Sunday and worked on our issue which is now resolved. I appreciated the responsiveness and the willingness to complete the job necessary. read more

Maksym and his wonderful crew just finished installing a Daikin AC upstairs and downstairs, new lines, all new ducting, and a whole house Air Purification System with UV light. We live in a two story house in Coto De Caza. We are loving our new units, they are awesome!!! I knew from the moment Maksym gave us the bid, that he was our man. Immediately after examining the potential job, he sat down and detailed everything with complete expertise and gave us a verbal price for installing three different types of equipment, Carrier, Lennox or Daikin. He had lots of information on other brands as well, but he explained the pros and cons of all of them and then proceeded to give us a price for each so we could choose. Amazing, right off the top of his head, there was no vacancy of information and details on a spectrum of products. All the other bidders only pushed one or maybe two brands of AC's and could not answer all our questions, plus they had to go home and add up the bid and get back to us two or three days later. Not only is Maksym extremely qualified, but he is so honest and trustworthy that we have been beyond impressed. Igor, who is the on-site supervisor and workman, is also knowledgeable and experienced and they both have a wide range of talents in construction, electrical and building in general. They and their workers take pride in all their work and they always strive to do the best job that can possibly be done. The first day, they covered our large walk-in closet with plastic and covered our carpets, always putting on shoe covers when in the house, leaving everything clean and neat at the end of the day. They did so many extras and did not charge for any of it, even tho it cost them for extra materials. You get the impression they are aiming to do the best job for you as if it were for their own mother. I just can not say enough good things about them. Their bid was extremely reasonable. If you are lucky enough to get them to work for you, you will also want to share accolades on their behalf. If there were 7 stars or even 10, they would get them all. read more

We had an AC emergency in the weekend Igor was able to come out and begin diagnosing our issues, after some investigating he came to us with several solutions for short term and long term fixes. Maksym was responsive by text, thorough in inspection, meticulous with his work, and just a fantastic, trustworthy person to deal with overall. There are a lot of people you can turn to on Yelp when issues with AC arise and admittedly Maksbuilder wasn't the first on the list that I reached out to, but Maksym offered a second opinion with no obligation or expectation, came after hours, and on time. Thankfully he did, because it saved me from replacing an AC blower that didn't need to be. The best way to describe this level of service is like you're taking care of your own home. Well worth inquiring with someone whose quality and experience shows. read more

Best service ever. My internal and external AC unit was leaking water everywhere, and Maks scheduled a same day consultation, diagnosed the issue immediately, and didn't charge us for his time as it was a simple fix. If you need someone reliable, trustworthy, and above all, ethical, stop searching and hire Maksym. That's truly all you need to know. But if you want more: Maksym came to my rescue at the last minute when my AC failed completely. Other companies left me reeling with sky-high quotes--some exceeding $20,000 to replace the entire unit without bothering to do a detailed check. Maksym arrived promptly, provided an exceptionally thorough diagnosis, and not only fixed the problem the very same day, but did so with a warmth and professionalism that's rare in this business. Beyond his skill, Maksym is simply a pleasure to work with. He operates with an integrity and honesty that is evident the moment you speak with him. He laid out exactly what repairs might be needed down the line, giving me peace of mind and confidence in future decisions. My AC unit is old and well past its prime, but Maksym managed to breathe new life into it, saving me thousands and buying me valuable time. It's rare for me to say this--I'm notoriously skeptical and picky when it comes to hiring help--but Maksym has earned my complete trust and loyalty. When the day finally comes to replace my unit, he will be the only person I call. Maksym and Maksbuilder, thank you for your incredible work. You turned what could have been an expensive nightmare into a smooth, fair, and surprisingly pleasant experience. You've gained a customer for life. read more
