Our existing HVAC system totally shut down in the middle of this heatwave!Capistrano Air came out to evaluate, pointing out the where/why's of the failure(s). The entire system indeed, needed replacement! Capistrano Air came in at an honest quote and it was quite a bit less than a prior company's estimate, yet Capo. Air would be providing us with top-of-the- line equipment! Installation was scheduled and took place in less than a week. Shane and his crew were punctual, immediately set to work on removing the old, large heating system and outdoor unit, and worked tirelessly all day! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were constantly informed of each step - where the routing of tubing within the garage would be placed with attachment to the outside unit, and where its' location had to be, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. What more can we ask?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our air conditioner HVAC unit stopped responding to our Ecobee thermostat yesterday. We called Capistrano Air and they scheduled a visit for today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They said it would be $95 just to come out for the inspection and the cost would be absorbed or waived if any work needed to be done. Jorge came out, listened to what happened, went up to the attic to inspect the furnace and found a fuse that had blown out. He replaced the fuse and was done within 15 - 30 minutes. Done. $145 out the door. I wondered if he could check our air conditioning unit to do any maintenance on it (which is what so many people say MUST be done once a year), and Jorge said that is not necessary. He said our HVAC unit is working fine and should be fine for the next 10 - 15 years! He said that the only "maintenance" that needs to be done is to replace the filters once a year (which is what we do anyway). He didn't try to upsell us on any unnecessary service or product. 5+ stars! read more

We found Capo Air through yelp and called for a technician to come out. I was initially impressed with all of the good reviews and I know see why!! They came out the same day and gave us a quick diagnostic on what was happening as well as recommended a few products. They gave us the sales guy number and he came out the next day to quote us and walk through pricing and payment options. At the time, they were offering 12 months no interest financing. We ended up going with Capi Air because their pricing was half of what Costco pricing was. We were worried about the actual product themselves, but they were highly recommended and good reviews when we researched online. When we had the installation done, the Installers were very professional and moved quickly. They finished our AC and furnace in one day, tested it and we've had no issues since. First used AC last night and discovered today that the condensation line was leaking water from the attic to the first floor hallway. Service tech found that the copper tube had come loose from it's clearly deteriorated connection. Tech said there was a chance that they MIGHT have caused the disconnect when they worked on the furnace several months ago. He put in a new connection and said the call was n/c ! Now, how many companies would do that? I feel that I at least owe for the service call...they said no charge! We all worry about contractors taking advantage of us. I originally installed two brand new a/c units from Capistrano air five years ago. The ac has ran smooth and flawless for 5 yrs without problem. But the recent rain distorted my soil and tilted one of my ac off balance. So while i was doing a filter change maintenance, I happened to mentioned to technician (Louie) and he took note of this and came back the following weekend with (George) and adjusted my condenser properly at extra cost for this service. It is great to know that even after 5 yrs that the company has not evolved and is still one that hold good old traditional value of service backed by technical expertise. Talk about integrity. This company and the people who work there have the utmost integrity. I have a 18 yr old unit downstairs. We had our upstairs one replaced by them 2 yrs ago. When our lower unit started to make funny sounds and wasn't cooling consistently, I knew it was probably time to get a new one. BOY AM I FEELING RIPPED OFF!! Did Capistrano Air successfully replace my home furnace igniter switch? Yes. Was the technician timely and courteous? Yes. Do I feel like I paid a reasonable price? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! The part I needed was minor, about $20, and the part replacement labor required less than 10 minutes. Including my original $99 diagnostic service fee, my total repair bill was $349!!! Ugh! Seven years ago I gave them a glowing review. Heck, that's why I contacted them for another repair!
