After so many visits with no real answers, I lost confidence in their work. I started looking for another HVAC company and kept seeing great reviews for AARD, so I decided to give them a call. Scheduling was quick and easy, and they even offered a free inspection, which was a nice bonus. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first and expected a quick visit followed by a sales pitch. That wasn't the case at all. When Joshua came out, he was incredibly thorough and took the time to carefully diagnose the issue instead of rushing through the appointment. He explained what he was seeing, gave us multiple repair options, and even changed our air filter for us before leaving. The next day we received a very reasonable estimate with several options, and once we approved the work they scheduled us within a few days after confirming the parts. On the day of the repair, Allen was the technician who came out. What really impressed me was that instead of simply replacing the motor -- which we initially believed was the problem -- he took the time to listen to my concerns and re-evaluate everything. It turned out the issue wasn't the motor at all, but the burner and a few other components. Even better, Allen came up with a smarter and simpler solution for reducing our zones that required less work and actually saved us money. He also coordinated with his management team to get the necessary parts the same day so the repair could be completed properly. He took his time, tested everything thoroughly, and made sure the system was running perfectly before he left. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the level of care and professionalism from AARD. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install. For context, during this period we had a newborn and significant personal obligations. When the visit occurred, the noise did not happen at that moment and no technician evaluation or adjustment was performed as a result. I later recorded the noise when it occurred and shared video evidence. Despite this, no diagnostic visit was offered. My review reflects both the unresolved issue and how it was ultimately handled. After posting this review, the business responded by disputing timelines and attributing the issue to unrelated work, but did not offer to inspect or resolve the ongoing airflow/pressure noise, despite video evidence. The attic cellulose work referenced was recommended by their team and performed by a contractor they referred. I had an air conditioning unit installed by Evolution Air in 2021. Since installation, the unit has intermittently made a loud "farting" or bubbling noise. I reported this issue within the first year. A technician came out, but unfortunately the noise did not occur during the visit, so nothing was adjusted or fixed. The problem has continued since then. After researching the issue myself, I found multiple discussions on Reddit indicating this is a known and common problem related to airflow or pressure adjustment, and that it is typically an easy fix for an experienced technician. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved years later. Overall, I'm disappointed that a known, recurring issue reported early on was not properly addressed, and that I've had to rely on online forums to understand what should have been a straightforward adjustment.
