Value is very poor. They quoted 700-900 for air duct cleaning on a small 3 bedroom home. They use an 877 number, so you're talking to hired sales people. Such a service is about an average of 300-350.00 everywhere else. Price is too overloaded, period! read more

Jesus what a rip off. First the good - friendly scheduler and salesman. The bad - double the price of the other bids. I mean, it was ridiculous. This wasn't the first time I replaced my 5 ton rooftop package unit so I know the ballpark of what it should run. Also I let the salesman know I was getting other bids. Comparing apples with apples, This bid came in at double the other bids. Giving two stars for the two friendly people but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the thousands more up charge. Hard pass. read more

Our AC was having issues so we called them and they scheduled us the next day and technician came and checked our machine and it was simple replacement of fuses. He was honest and said our unit if it lasts is a good one unless we need furrion which is banned. He didnt just stop at replacing the fuse he checked our vents and all the components inside the AC to make sure everything is working properly. They charge reasonable amount for service and first check up/estimate is free. Super reliable and fast. Because the one company that had came out before AARD said they dont service "pancake units". Definitely knowledgeable in different types of units. read more

Short version: AARD is truly a one-of-a-kind, family-owned business that genuinely cares about its customers. They provide high-quality work at very reasonable rates. I was especially impressed with their communication and the level of commitment they showed throughout the entire process. Our system is finally up and running properly again, and I only wish we had chosen them as our original installer during our remodel. Instead, they came in and fixed what hadn't been done correctly the first time. Highly recommend! Longer version: Our system had been making a strange grinding noise every time we turned on the heat, and we could never figure out where it was coming from. On top of that, it took forever for air to reach the upstairs. The company that originally installed our system came out several times but couldn't identify the problem. After so many visits with no real answers, I lost confidence in their work. I started looking for another HVAC company and kept seeing great reviews for AARD, so I decided to give them a call. Scheduling was quick and easy, and they even offered a free inspection, which was a nice bonus. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first and expected a quick visit followed by a sales pitch. That wasn't the case at all. When Joshua came out, he was incredibly thorough and took the time to carefully diagnose the issue instead of rushing through the appointment. He explained what he was seeing, gave us multiple repair options, and even changed our air filter for us before leaving. The next day we received a very reasonable estimate with several options, and once we approved the work they scheduled us within a few days after confirming the parts. On the day of the repair, Allen was the technician who came out. What really impressed me was that instead of simply replacing the motor -- which we initially believed was the problem -- he took the time to listen to my concerns and re-evaluate everything. It turned out the issue wasn't the motor at all, but the burner and a few other components. Even better, Allen came up with a smarter and simpler solution for reducing our zones that required less work and actually saved us money. He also coordinated with his management team to get the necessary parts the same day so the repair could be completed properly. He took his time, tested everything thoroughly, and made sure the system was running perfectly before he left. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the level of care and professionalism from AARD. It wasn't just the technicians -- the management team and office staff were also excellent throughout the process. It's rare to find a company that is this responsive, honest, and focused on actually solving the problem rather than just selling a repair. I would absolutely recommend AARD to anyone looking for trustworthy HVAC service. read more

Allen was very thorough and took the time to carefully inspect and test the AC system. He explained everything clearly and gave us very helpful recommendations. Most importantly, he was able to get our AC cooling again. We really appreciate his patience, professionalism. read more

I had a great experience with this air-conditioning repair company from start to finish. And I love that it's women owned!! Yay. Scheduling was easy, communication was clear, and the service was prompt. Josh, the technician, was especially helpful, and professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what was wrong and how he fixed it. He worked efficiently and made sure everything was running perfectly before he left. Being a women myself I've been ripped off numerous times so I really appreciated the honesty and attention to detail. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing reliable AC repair. We have used AARD on three different occasions, and every single experience has been exceptional. Back in 2022, during one of those brutally hot Southern California heat waves, our AC suddenly stopped working. AARD came out, diagnosed the problem almost immediately, and had our home cooling again in minutes rather than days, big thank you Andy. We were incredibly impressed. Then last year, our blower motor failed. Once again, AARD quickly tracked down the necessary part and, like magicians, had everything up and running in no time. Our home was cool and comfortable again before we knew it. And now, here we are in 2026 with another AC issue. Our capacitor failed during yet another major heat wave. When I called, I was told the earliest available appointment was Monday, which I completely understood given how busy they were. I was prepared to wait and grateful to even be on the schedule. Then we received a call from Rose letting us know they could squeeze us in that very evening! Artemio arrived promptly, was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and quickly determined that the capacitor had failed again, just like it did in 2022. He didn't have the replacement part with him, but immediately reached out to another technician who did. He arranged to return that same evening and get us fixed up right away. What could have been a three-day wait turned into same-day service. During a Southern California heat wave (the hottest week of the year) that felt nothing short of a miracle. Throughout all of our experiences, AARD has consistently been kind, honest, responsive, and trustworthy. Even when they're slammed with calls, they go above and beyond for their customers. I've referred friends to AARD over the years, and I will continue to do so without hesitation. A special thank you to Rose, who is always so sweet, helpful, and professional. She makes every interaction a pleasure. AARD has earned our trust for life. I won't call anyone else before I call them. Highly recommended! read more

Efficient and honest! They did not try to upsell ! They were responsive and punctual. They waived the estimate , and were through. I had another large company come out before. And they only looked at the furnace, pointed out the mold and suggested I replace the whole thing. AARD WAS THE OPPOSITE IN A GREAT WAY !!! read more

This review is long overdue. I highly recommend AARD. They are knowledgeable and have excellent customer service.

AARP Mechanical Air is fantastic. Allan was our technician and he was incredible. He was meticulous, thorough, and took his time going through every detail of our system. He found issues we never would have noticed and explained everything clearly so we understood what needed to be done. The quality of his work was excellent and we felt completely taken care of. We highly recommend Allan and AARP Mechanical Air for anyone looking for honest, reliable, and detailed HVAC service! read more

Just needed someone to come clean out my dryer vent but I had no idea who to call. Thankfully AARD was able to come out and help me even though it was such a small job. I hate having to deal with all this homeowner stuff, but I'm so glad I can finally check this to-do off my list. There was a miscommunication with my phone number and the tech couldn't get a hold of me for my appointment. Thankfully he waited for me and didn't leave! The technician was very professional and nice. He did the job well and didn't take him very long. He also made sure to clean up and set my dryer back exactly how it was. Bonus points for being nice to my pets! read more

I only have great things to say about AARD. When we had a hard time finding coil that matches our older system, AARD went above and beyond to make it customized for us! Frida, Rose, Precious and Elizabeth had been very helpful with all the pricing and details. They were willing to work with our budget as well. The technician that came; Nicholas and his partner were also very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Thank you so much, AARD! Will definitely recommend AARD for family and friends! read more

Just had our dryer vent/duct cleaned out. The price I was quoted was the actual price paid upon completion; no hidden fees or surprise costs. The technician on our job, Joshua, was on time, knowledgeable, respectful, and very nice. He suggested some further improvements to the dryer area which we are waiting for their price estimate on. I highly suggest AARD for any HVAC service you may need completed. Out of all the other quotes I initially received, they had the best pricing and communication. Thank you guys so much and a huge thank you to Joshua! read more

My heater was not firing up. So I looked up HVAC repair companies on yelp. Instantly got all kinds of messages from different companies offering there assistance. But AARD was the only one who offered to come out, and do a free diagnostic. I am glad I made the choice to give AARD a shoot. Alan came out and found the issue and repaired it the same day. I love doing business with small business. The service and work they do is above and beyond. Highly recommend and I will be useing AARD for my AC preventive maintenance before summer. read more

Turned on the A/C in our home for the first time this past Saturday evening, and noticed there was a musty smell. Requested service from AARD on the following Sunday morning, and they had a tech available. Allen came by and explained possible causes and remedies for the initial complaint. He noticed that our system was not working optimally (air coming out the vents was not very cold). Using instrumentation, he was able to demonstrate what our system was outputting in comparison to normal values. He took care of all our needs that morning and was informative without being pushy about services. read more

AARD was excellent. I had an emergent HVAC issue and placed a request via Yelp and Frida reached out to me. I had actually already booked a technician from another company to come out but after speaking with Frida, I felt more comfortable going with AARD, and I'm glad I did! Allan, the technician, came to our property and was professional and very patient with explaining to us the work that needed to be done. He was also efficient, very clean with his work, and honest with his recommendations of what needed to be fixed. I would recommend AARD 100% and will go to them with any of my own HVAC needs in the future. read more

My air-conditioning wasn't keeping up the set temp and I knew something was off. Joshua came out from AARD for a diagnostic and he was Awesome!!. He walked me through what was going on and what needed to be fixed (freon recharge). He was friendly, honest, and an overall pretty cool person. My system is fixed and my air-conditioning is cold once more. My whole experience was GREAT!! from starting the project on Yelp with Frida and Joshua coming out a couple of days later for the appointment. I definitely would recommend them to anyone needing their AC fixed. Believe me when I say that they are honest with their work and pricing, with no hidden fees or charges that pop up in the end. read more

Had couple AC-related issues at my home in Southern California and AARD came out to do an inspection right away. The technicians were on-time, and friendly. However, one of the technician said that the AC wasn't working because the refrigerant was completely gone, so we are looking at a leak inspection, repair and recharge refrigerant. It got skeptical so we hired another AC company to do the inspection. It turned out that there is no leak at all. Just swapped the capacitor and AC is working like before. Zero refrigerant was charged. I do appreciate the fact that AARD provided a complementary inspection at no cost. However, if we went with their quote of $1,800 leak repair and refrigerant charge due to false diagnostic, we would've paid a lot more money and fixed the wrong thing. There is simply no way a professional can mistaken a capacitor failure with a refrigerant leak, so to me this is not acceptable and why I rate this company with 1-star. I am quite disappointed, I thought I am working with a five-star AC Company and apparently this whole experience went very wrong. read more

Reached out to AARD over the 3 day weekend to get a jump on a service request and AARD was kind enough to respond during the holiday. We were able to schedule an appointment right away. They were responsive, easy communication and Allan was friendly and diagnosed and fixed the issue within an hour. And this was on a record hot day! Allan also let us know that we should change the filter in the HVAC unit and told the size and where to buy. He went above and beyond. Highly recommend and will also be calling on their service if they are needed in the future! read more

I used their services recently and I truly appreciate/value the readiness to assist. Super efficient and great customer service. I'm so glad I chose to work with this team. I spoke to Rose on the phone and addressing my concerns. She was able to immediately book an appointment within 24-48 hours. A tech came out to diagnose my heater issues and it was something very quick. In and out service. The tech called me and provided me with full updates from A-Z. I recently had my A/C and Furnace replaced due to age. They arrived for the estimate on time and provided a thorough explanation of the different options as well as met the timeline commitment for the bid. After competing the job at 730 pm, I am very happy to have new working equipment and a house ready for the cold/warms temps. read more

I was in search of a trustworthy AC business as I had been burned in the past. I asked on Facebook if anyone knew of a good trustworthy AC person and multiple people recommended AARD Mechanical. I called them and they were very polite and listened to my concerns. I set up an appointment. Allan arrived on time and was very informative in regards to my mini split AC unit. Even though I explained my problem Alan thought it best still check out every component. I really appreciated that. He reviewed everything and told me the cost to fix it. The price while reasonable was a bit more than my budget would allow. Allan called the office and Frida was able to give me various options to help me be able to pay for the repair. Good news is because of that I was able to get AC repaired. Allan explained everything that he had to do and informed me that it would be a two day job. He began work on the AC he stayed later than I expected and I was grateful for his dedication to his job and to me as a client. Again the next day he arrived on time he was able to complete the job as explained and in time. He even wrapped the copper lines with insulation and tape to protect them. Once completed he demonstrated the unit and everything was cooling. I was so happy. I highly recommend AARD Mechanical and Allan. I truly found a trustworthy company. I will definitely use them again. Actually I did use them again for my family with some maintenance I need on an AC there. read more

I had Mr. Sotelo service my home for AC and he did fantastic with my maintenance and looked into my problem with my AC not running in my second floor home. He went down to the source and had AARD send me in invoice to get it fixed. I use to have a warranty for my home but the company would always referred me to low rated companies. I went with AARD because I saw their recent highly rated reviews and they were legitimate. Mr. Sotelo was very professional and my husband and I think he went beyond the service. I have AC cold air coming out again so thank you for running a company that truly provides excellent customer service. BTW if you are okay with texts that is how I communicated with the company. And being a working lady I have no time for phone calls so I was truly happy on how effective they were with contacting me via-text. Thank you AARD! read more

I called AARD to have them look at my air conditioning unit in reference to some damage that was done by my puppies. This company runs a tight ship. They were very responsive and kept me updated as to when the technician would be arriving. The technician arrived and immediately diagnosed the problem. However, before the repair was done I called the company who installed the unit and it was still under warranty. I was warned that if another company did any kind of repairs on it, the warranty would be voided. So I thanked the technician, Allen Brito?, who came out. I told him about the warranty and he said he understood. I thanked him for his diagnosis. This company was one of a few that does not charge a fee to come out. Keep in mind this company does work with home warranty plans. Many others don't. I highly recommend this place for their professionalism. read more
