Longer version: Our system had been making a strange grinding noise every time we turned on the heat, and we could never figure out where it was coming from. On top of that, it took forever for air to reach the upstairs. The company that originally installed our system came out several times but couldn't identify the problem. After so many visits with no real answers, I lost confidence in their work. I started looking for another HVAC company and kept seeing great reviews for AARD, so I decided to give them a call. Scheduling was quick and easy, and they even offered a free inspection, which was a nice bonus. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first and expected a quick visit followed by a sales pitch. That wasn't the case at all. When Joshua came out, he was incredibly thorough and took the time to carefully diagnose the issue instead of rushing through the appointment. He explained what he was seeing, gave us multiple repair options, and even changed our air filter for us before leaving. The next day we received a very reasonable estimate with several options, and once we approved the work they scheduled us within a few days after confirming the parts. On the day of the repair, Allen was the technician who came out. What really impressed me was that instead of simply replacing the motor -- which we initially believed was the problem -- he took the time to listen to my concerns and re-evaluate everything. It turned out the issue wasn't the motor at all, but the burner and a few other components. Even better, Allen came up with a smarter and simpler solution for reducing our zones that required less work and actually saved us money. He also coordinated with his management team to get the necessary parts the same day so the repair could be completed properly. He took his time, tested everything thoroughly, and made sure the system was running perfectly before he left. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the level of care and professionalism from AARD. It wasn't just the technicians -- the management team and office staff were also excellent throughout the process. My old condenser finally breathed its last breath. I had already repaired it a few times and the…read morelast repair only bought me a few more weeks. When the repair guy told me there was no warranty on the work because my AC was so old, I knew it was time to stop throwing money at it and replace the whole thing. I started calling around and getting quotes from several HVAC companies. Surprisingly, the pricing was all pretty similar. The big difference was the equipment. A lot of the companies were quoting brands I either hadn't heard of or didn't have much confidence in. Evolution was the only company I spoke with that was using American Standard and really stood behind the quality of the equipment they were installing. That ultimately made the decision for me. The entire process with Evolution was professional and easy. They showed up, got to work, and had the full installation completed in about 5 to 6 hours. I was expecting the house to be without AC most of the day, but they got everything done much faster than I expected. We've had the new system running and love it. The first thing we noticed was how QUIET it is. Our old condenser was so loud that you always knew when it kicked on. With the new one, I sometimes have to actually listen for it to make sure it's running. Replacing an entire AC system is not exactly something anyone gets excited about spending money on, but if I had to do it, I'm glad I went with Evolution. Thankfully Frankie and Edwin were able to squeeze us back in this afternoon and completed the scheduled work. They were incredibly pleasant, apologetic and kind. We have a couple of visits left for the HERS inspection (along with Rebel Air staff) and the City inspection. Looking forward to a hopefully smooth closeout to this project. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I hate to leave this review, because everything had initially gone very well with our project. We spent well over $20k to do ductwork, put in a new HVAC system in and add a mini split. The initial visit with Johnny was wonderful and he did a great job explaining the work and provided a competitive quote compared the other estimates we received. He also provided great recommendations on additional registers/vents to balance out our airflow. Those were installed, but instead of the additional vent he originally suggested in our west-facing living room, one was added in the kitchen, making the kitchen very cold but the living room very warm. The work took longer than the original 5 days planned (about 7-8 days), but they did a great job cleaning up after. This was in March 2026. It is now July 2026. During the initial estimate, Johnny had indicated that they were happy to come by to adjust dampers as needed, and Vincent was very helpful with that although advised that we need to rotate the TDuct feeding into the kitchen/living room to better balance the airflow. The work wasn't done correctly to begin with, but we are ok with that solution if it helps the situation. When the HERS inspectors came to help finalize the City permit in April, they noted that none of the caulking was done. This morning we had an appointment from 8-10am to do the caulking and rotate the TDuct that I am taking time off of work to do. I called in past 9am to get a status update but I'm told a representative (Edwin) knocked and called but left when no one answered. I was in the back doing a bit of yardwork with my phone on me - several calls, including spam came in, but no voicemails. No videos from our doorbell or cameras out front show anyone coming to the door or up the walkway. I have texted Andrea to get a status update or reschedule and am waiting to hear back. Given that the initial interaction was positive, I hope that this is a fluke and a dropped ball with the miscommunication this morning and not a lack of interest on Rebel Air's part since they have already been fully paid. I hope to finalize this project soon and finish the permit with the City.

Bait & switch, I'll get my heater fixed by another company.

The unit is amazing, and the level of service they provided was exceptional. The team was professional, gave us a great price, and also serviced our other AC while they were here. I spent a rough night trying to sleep in the desert heat. This morning I called Air Mighty, and once again they took great care of my family. Michael came out and was extremely helpful. He was upfront about the service and everything he was doing. He confirmed what I already knew, it's time to replace the unit, but he got it working so it will hopefully get us through the next few months. UPDATED* 9/24/26 Spoke with manager Mike and he agreed that…read moreI was not supposed to be charged for a clog clearance with my membership, but it was going to take some extra work to get that refunded so he counter offered 6 months paid membership ($120 value), I paid $150 for that service, so shorted $30, but I will take it. Deflection, lack of accountability for anything, bad look for holding the manager position. Contacted by Supervisor Yesenia who reached out twice, yesterday and again today, we were able to speak about everything in length and detail. Yesenia who had been with the company for some years (+10) was able to represent the brand excellently. She completely understood the situation, gave logical reasoning on the misrepresentation of the brand, and accountability and ownership was taken. End result, she made it right, refunding the entire amount of $699 and 1 year membership paid ($240 value). This will give Service Champions another opportunity for redemption and show they still have good technicians and they are a company that stands on their brand moto. Changed star rating from 1 to 4 because a single person, Yesenia, can make a difference in brand representation, appreciate her time and effort in looking into this issue, making it right and exemplifying that every customer is important, Thank you Yesenia. Initially 1 star rating due issue below - VISIT DATE: 9/22/26 Problem: Water was leaking from my air handling box primary line in my attic which caused some ceiling damage. Action: Being a member of Service Champions I called them out to clear the clogs in the line which is part of the service I pay for monthly. Senior Tech Jason Gomez / Tech Donavon Saario both came out. Job they conducted: 1) Clear the line which was the p-trap under the sink. ($150 they charged, though was included) 2) During their inspection they noticed my air handling box primary and secondary lines were installed backwards, needed a swap. ($150) 3) Install a safe-T switch (water overflow switch) in line with my secondary line ($399) Issues: Overcharged / Lack of integrity & loss of my trust 1) Overcharged - The safe-T switch is a $40 switch that took about 15 minutes to install, the PVC pipe to swap over the lines another 15-20 minutes but about 2ft of total pipe *picture (Attic work) and cleaning the p-trap under the sink *picture, wouldn't that be part of clearing any lines? Materials, I say would cost total of $100 being VERY conservative. So they charged me $600 for about 1 hour of work plus parts. REDICULOUS! 2) Lack of integrity and loss my trust - After they cleaned my condenser (part of the service) we went to go over the work they will conduct. The senior tech joined the other tech and was trying to advise me, then being the experts that I had a refrigerant leak. They wanted to do this inspection that cost $699 same as the cost of what they told me it would cost for the above work, "they didn't want to nickel and dime me" and if I don't fix the leak, the coils can freeze over and a big block of ice can form and destroy my ceiling with water damage! They mentioned they didn't see any residue leaks from the condenser and it would most likely be in the attic at the coil. COST: $4,000 (if current equip is warranty) / $7,000 (if not) I told the tech after the senior tech left that I will just get the above work done, possibly call them out later. I had been a lead aircraft mechanic several years, so I did my quick research from the numbers they got and looking into the MFG manual for my system. System: Lennox ML14XC1-060-230A04 Fieldpiece Measurements (see picture) showed all my readings were on point, 78degree weather at the time if you guys are less technical and want to plug this into google AI. Basically though refrigerant was perfect to the temp we had, TXV was feeding my indoor coil efficiently without flooding liquid refrigerant back to the compressor. Delta T was 71 and 50 which 21 degrees difference is exceptional! They were trying to get me into a $7,000 dollar deal, note they get paid also on jobs (commision).
