TLDR: Honest, hardworking, and just a great, well rounded human being! The whole story: It was a hot summer night at 8pm when I created and sent a Yelp quote to multiple businesses. Brian from Easy Air responded right away. He asked for pictures and after I sent them over, he knew exactly what the issue was. Brian asked me to call him and right away Brian started assisting me over the phone on how to fix the error message on my thermostat. Within minutes, both thermostats were fixed over the phone and we were able to sleep that night. Brian did not charge me for the time he spent on the phone guiding me, for which I'm so grateful. Fast forward to today, I scheduled a time for Brian to come check out our system since the air was not cool enough. He arrived promptly at 8am and was courteous enough to not ring the doorbell in case people were asleep. He came and looked at our HVAC system, diagnosed our issue, and gave us a fair price. Again he did not charge us for the assessment and diagnosis because he knew what we had been through was a lot (mold remediation). I can't say enough good things about Brian, his work ethic, and his character! There needs to be more people like Brian in the construction industry! read more

Dryer Vent Cleaning It took me more than 2 weeks to find someone who was licensed with the California State Contractor's Board to come clean my dryer vent so you can probably the guess my excitement at finding Easy Air!. TIP: just because someone state's they have a license, it doesn't mean it's the proper one; get the # and check online; if an unlicensed & uninsured contractor hurts themselves or damages your/your neighbor's/HOA property, your insurance will likely not cover you Brian answered all my questions and the next day he was cleaning my vent. TIP: my firefighter neighbor used to constantly remind us: lint accumulation in the dryer vent is the #1 reason for house fires; prevention is A LOT cheaper than correction! Brian is a pro: courteous, cleaned the vent in the wall, the duct hose coming from the dryer to the vent, cleaned up up after himself, hooked the duct back up, and put the laundry unit back in place. Can't ask for more than a responsive, licensed professional, who knows what they're doing! read more

Easy Air came to our home to do an inspection as part of American Home Service Warranty (AHS). The inspection was performed but no inspection report of any kind was ever given to us. After a month of calls I spoke to the owner who hung up on me and then when subsequently contacted by AHS he refused to send a copy of a report we paid him to do. His field service technician said our ducts had a restriction and he told AHS that I must repair my ducts before he would work on the furnace (Which was the origin of the service request). So I simply asked tell me with a report what we need to change and he refused. Our ducts were installed with a licensed and bonded HVAC contractor and the permit was signed off by the Long Beach Building Inspector. So when his technician told me there was some sort of Code Violation I wanted to know how is that possible and exactly what code was it that he thinks I was in violation of. This is something that requires information from the contractor in the form of a report. The pictures of his work I see look very nice but why would any contractor refuse to send a copy of a report after performing an inspection he was paid to do? I would caution anyone planning to work with this company to exercise caution and be very clear to demand a detailed report with a detailed estimate to be included. He has refused to give that report to me so we have no choice but to begin the process all over. Contractors should feel some commitment to finish what they have begun and not simply refuse to complete a task because of something they don't like. It was only a report and could have been emailed so easily. What if it were a whole system? read more

It is extremely difficult to find honest and reliable service these days, particularly when it comes to plumbing, heating and air conditioning. Brian is as good as they come. Easy Air did an excellent job repairing my furnace/AC issue (fried circuit board). Brian was very honest and didn't try to up-sell me on anything. He even (without me asking) said I could probably get the parts I needed at no charge because we are still under home warranty (10 years). I didn't even think this was an option, but he was able to do it! He originally gave me a quote for the labor, which I agreed to. It ended up taking much longer than originally anticipated, but he still only charged me the original quoted price. Outdoor unit was short cycling due to low refrigerant. Was going through AHS for the repair and the 1st company they sent was not honest and difficult to communicate with. I had to ask AHS to send another company out for 2nd opinion. Brian and his colleague arrived promptly few mins before appointment time.
