Simple need: I have six recessed lightbulbs from a 9-year old kitchen remodel, and four of them were not working. Googled 'Lightbulbs' and Siri guided me to this place from my home in La Verne. Kind of confusing to find the entrance to 'Lightbulbs', but found a door and realized it's all one giant place. I questioned a very pleasant guy on a ladder about 'where do I go for lightbulbs?', and he immediately stepped down and accompanied me over to where he found the perfect replacement bulbs which were an absolute match, but a much lighter (weight wise) version. Info on the original LED bulb was barely readable, but he found what turned out to be perfect replacements. Upon arrival home, I replaced the non-working bulbs with the new ones which are an absolute match in brightness and look. Amazingly, the final bill was only $23.98 (including tax), which is just under $6 for each bulb. According to the box, these LED lights could last up to 22 years. I hope I'm around to see that when I'm 91 years old! Wait: There's more! This place is filled with every type and style of high-end lighting, so if you're in the mood to re-do any room or entry-way lighting, check out what they have. But again, I was so impressed with the expertise of the associate. I didn't catch his name, but his initials may be RM. On my receipt it lists the 'Writer' as RM.

I didn't catch his name, but his attitude immediately changed my impression of the business. I simply thanked the other gentleman and left. I'm sharing this because first impressions matter, especially when you have potential commercial customers bringing significant business. Unfortunately, that interaction may have cost your company a valuable opportunity. I hope ownership takes this feedback seriously.

I ordered R2994 - Springcrest Creme Bell Curve Cut Corner Lamp Shade 11x18x15 (Spider). I received the shipment within a few days. The shades were covered with a lot plastic for protection. While in the store purchasing two pendants, I asked for help. The salesperson couldn't locate the remote and said he would follow up later that day. Crickets. I called, was told Monday, and again--crickets. Today, I called again and had an amazing experience because Adrian Brunen picked up the phone. He asked me to send him a photo of the fan and model number. Within 30 minutes, he called me back and we ordered the replacement remote over the phone. Adrian is a stockroom supervisor, but he is so much more than that. He is customer-service oriented, a doer, a fixer, solution-oriented, a critical thinker, and genuinely committed to helping people. He handled everything with grace and professionalism. What impressed me most was that he never once made excuses or mentioned the challenges with the new system, even though I had heard about them during my store visit. My experience with the process may not be something I would give five stars, but Adrian absolutely deserves five stars and recognition. People like Adrian are valuable. He represents what great customer service should look like, and I hope Lamps Plus recognizes his contribution and gives him every opportunity to grow.

Based on the lack of information, I chose to not purchase the two lamps I was looking at. I was at Lowe's today. Sales person was very helpful and I now understand the differences in light bulbs. Now I can look on-line for the lamps I want.

I did buy a couple things such as a hat and some enamel pins. My pet peve for stores though is not having prices marked on items. It infuriates me actually. I don't like having to ask how much every single item I am looking at is. They have a cute assortment of what would be considered goth items besides mainstream. They said the store was on sale so the prices were good, not sure I would have paid their "regular" prices. They have a sister store a couple doors down and I'll leave a separate review for that.

I purchased the box spring and the foundation to put it on. Went buying a new bed. You always have to buy new sheets and two pillows. The credit check was very efficient and very fast. One of the best purchases with this was the Mathis home rewards so I purchased that too I walked downstairs with Brian to the credit department and finalized everything. Then when trying to exchange it, they shooed us away to their tiny customer service department as much as possible. They clearly did not want to help us. The customer service representative would not even leave her seat to greet us or listen to the mistake that was made on their part. Because the item was a special order, even though we were improperly advised (and within the ridiculous 7 day return window), she simply told us no. Mathis will not help you or own up to any mistakes made on their own part. They want you to double check their sales team's work and make sure they order the right things. You know, because that's your job as the customer. Save your time and your money and shop anywhere else. I'd rather buy a cheap Amazon piece of furniture, because they'd at least treat us with respect. This place sucks and I'd give 0 stars if I could. Don't ever shop here. People are pushy, rude, and don't care to treat you like a human being.
