Well, where do I even begin? Buyers, BEWARE of Loretta and this establishment as a whole. I purchased what I thought was going to be the perfect vanity from Loretta--a sales representative who, by the way, sold me a scratched and imperfect item without any mention of it being an "as-is" sale. When I bought the vanity, it supposedly had all the shelves included, as shown during the purchase. However, when the delivery service finally dropped it off, they managed to send me the wrong shelves in the wrong color. Impressive, right? Naturally, I tried calling to rectify this--not once, not twice--but several times over several days, leaving messages in vain (pun intended). I even left a message with an actual person (so I know my message was heard), and yet... nothing. Radio silence. Honestly, is it that hard to pick up the phone or return a call? Now, don't get me wrong--the vanity itself looked great at first glance, but the customer service? Utterly abysmal. It's like the moment you hand over your money, every shred of professionalism and support goes straight down the drain. Oh, and don't even bother trying to get through the voicemail system--it's always full. Don't worry, though, if it isn't full, the call will kindly hang up on you anyway. Efficient and impersonal. A winning combination for anyone wanting to test their patience. So here I am now, out of pocket for shelves that were originally supposed to be included with my purchase. And surprise, surprise--no one is responding anymore. Not a peep. It's almost like they disappeared into a void as soon as they cashed my payment. Let's make this clear: my receipt does NOT say the vanity was sold "as-is," so this experience is just straight-up unprofessional. Lesson learned: If you decide to purchase from here, either bring a magnifying glass and triple-check every item, or consider spending your hard-earned money elsewhere. Oh, and don't expect any semblance of customer service after the sale--you've got more chance of winning the lottery than reaching someone helpful. What a disappointing and frustrating experience. Ok, If I could give more than five-stars I would! I didn't by directly from Design Element, but from another company that sells their products, and then Design Element drop ships the order (pretty common these days). From the beginning this other company hadn't been very responsive so I went to the source (Design Element) for answers. Thank goodness I did! Because of several issues with my order I had made probably 10-15 calls to Design Element speaking with 5-7 different people looking for answers or guidance. Not one time did I hang up the phone disappointed, or unsatisfied. EVERY SINGLE TIME they've bent over backwards to help! Customer service of this caliper is very rare these days and the folks at this company should be very proud of how they do business! On top of all this, the vanity we purchased is beautiful and very well constructed. All solid wood, dove tail joints, soft close drawers with undermount glides, soft close doors, carrara marble tops. I purchased two closeout pieces from this company. What I've learned is the pieces have either been returns or been on the floor for a long time. What they do is piece them together from a pool of defective vanities or cabinets. So please be careful when buying closeouts. There were parts missing and I had to go back to the warehouse twice. My emails and phone calls were not answered in a timely manner. They finally sent me out the right drawer for my vanity which I had to get my tools out and fix myself. I still have an issue with my cabinet, one of the drawers does not fit right on the track. They tried to remedy it by sending new tracks but the drawer is the issue. I am now fed up and asked for a refund on the cabinet. I was told since I paid a discounted price and my pieces were closeouts no exchange or refund will be issued. Although my receipt does not say no refunds or exchanges, this was a directive from the company president. This company does make good furniture, however, their closeouts are pieced together. I am disappointed that I have a piece of furniture that is not fully functional. They sold me defective furniture. I still believe they should make good on the furniture but was told today no exchanges or refunds will be made. *A note to the company, please be sure the receipt on closeouts reflect your policy. My receipt did not. For litigation purposes it would be in your best interest. Also, good customer service should extend beyond the sale. Please have your employees check their emails daily. read more

Very happy with my experience and vanity purchase. I contacted Matt to see if they had what I was looking for and he was very helpful! He took a few pictures to make sure they had what I needed before driving all the way there (I live in San Diego). They had a huge selection to choose from in their warehouse. Once I finally decided on one, it only took about 15 minutes or so for them to get it to the dock to loaded in my car. Since this vanity was not in a box, they added protective cardboard to the corners and then wrapped the entire thing in plastic. All in all, I had a great experience. read more

Bought 2 vanities from this place. Love the product design, the people and the discounts. My husband were more into the quality, solid wood, coating and finish...etc. We decided on the 92" double sink with makeup table, perfect for our master bath and such a luxurious, show off design and hey, we earned it. The other one was for the guest bath down stair. One thing though, do prepare to have extra helping hands from pickup to installation as these pre-assembled vanities are heavy and no carriers are willing to deliver them due to opened box. Do NOT buy from them. They sell DEFECTIVE products as new products. Everything I bought was defective. When I called to complain that the pre-drilled holes for the water faucets were not drilled correctly and do NOT fit ANY faucets they said they've never heard of that issue before....I had someone else call with the same issue 2 weeks later and they said "humm that's weird we've never heard of that issue." It was the SAME sales person. I bought two bathroom vanity sets two different sizes so it wasn't like I got one defective product which I understand happens but TWO and both different sizes??? In the end I had to wait 4 days to find some one who can properly drill out the holes to fit standard faucets. I ended having to pay over $400 extra because Design Elements likes to sell DEFECTIVE products. read more

I went shopping for a bathroom vanity for my parents place, been to the higher end spots in the westside, dime a dozen chinese granite/cabinets shops in the SGV, some hole-in-the-wall shops with "out for lunch" signs up. Straight-up I wasn't going to buy one of these products new. Iphones and condoms I do, but furniture items are where a discounted item might be worthwhile. I went into this place not looking to buy new, but one of those open-box returns. All the cabinets I saw in here was good quality, didn't spot a single piece of MDF cabinet. Which is one material you definitely want to avoid in anything in close proximity to water or moisture. So the open-box ones are all sorts of condition some damaged some decent, some great. There was one guy working named Matt. Very helpful with outstanding customer service. Great salesman, and not in the sleazy used car dealership way. Believe me in this industry (marble/granite/quartz cabinets & countertops), this guy was a breath of fresh air. Side note to owner of Design Element: Give this boy a raise! He was straight forward and explained what the product was, some damaged some not, pieces priced and discounted accordingly. He didn't try to hide defects or problems. Take all the time you want inspecting the one you want. I don't know what the other yelpers are complaining about, the actual pieces you're buying is sitting there right in front of you, this ain't electronics where a pixel might get burnt from your open-box TV after you get it home. Its furniture, open the drawers, check the doors, check the seals of the sinks. Matt even carefully sealed and packaged the vanity to avoid damage from transit. I doubt any of these warehouse monkeys from most of these Countertop/Cabinets shops I visited previously would've done the same. So I left with a nice vanity for a killer price. I forgot to load up the mirror that came with the vanity and Matt just told me to swing on by anytime and he'll have it ready for me. read more

Found this company at random on google. Picked up 1 vanity last Friday, went back with wifey on Monday and picked up another one. I am here now picking up the 3rd vanity for my 2 1/2 bath remodeling. My contractor just dropped them in place, connected the pipes and fastened, in less than 2 hours per each installation, easy, perfect fit and every bit as high quality and luxurious as custom made. My wifey and I loved the people and service. This place is wholesale only and is not open to public. You can find its products on home depot, houzz website. Certain models are on amazon. I called for an appointment with a gentlemen name Matt to check out the showroom, but ended up buying floor samples, opened box that are brand new with at least 50% discounted from original prices, saved hundreds $. You must arrange pick up, no delivery service available for items that are without the original package. Overall, 5-star experience and expectation. Great products, great people! read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DESIGN ELEMENT USA We purchased a vanity by Design Element back in June from build.com. We had a professional remodeler install it. After using one time, I noticed stains were being left and nothing would clean it. I called and emailed and spoke with DE regarding this issue. They had confirmed that no where did it say to seal the countertop either in instructions or on their website before use (FYI it still doesnt say it on their website or in the new instruction sheet they gave us). After speaking with them, they sent out a new countertop. However after discussing with our contractor, we were not going to reuse the sink and hardware and all that had already been glued down etc. So I contacted them again and they sent out a new sink and new hardware. Our contractor came they other day to install it. He called me concerned about the shape that the second countertop had come in. I had to leave work (third time, because I have to be home when everything is delivered) and see what he meant. The second countertop is in horrible condition. It looks as if someone had used it before and sent it back and now we have it. My contractor noticed the ENTIRE length of the countertop had scratches and nicks out of it. looks like something was laying on it before shipping. The scratches and nicks go the entire length and are consistent with each other I have no idea what happened to it but it looks terrible. There was silicon glue or some type of glue on the under-mount part that also left a huge part of the marble sanded down or not glossy anymore. it obviously looks like something was attached to it before and now, the gloss is gone. My contractor said what gives it away as being used before is underneath there are tons of finger prints which is from the glue residue being left over and then someone touching it now leaving fingerprints all over. At this point.... I am beyond frustrated. I paid the contractor the first time to redo our bathroom. Now we have no working bathroom again because he took out the old countertop. We ended up having to pay him an additional $300 for him to come BACK out and reinstall the countertop, now he left again today because i didnt want to install yet another faulty countertop. so we will have to pay him even more to come back out and install. I also have had to take time off of work to be home for each delivery and to leave to check this again today. I sent photos of the second damaged countertop to customer service asking for money back or at least covering the $300 extra I have had to pay for reinstalling not to mention being stuck with a scratched, ruined and used countertop. It took them 3 days to get back with me and they said they spoke with the owner Lucas Liu who decided they were not going to pay for anything or reimburse me. They said i could contact Lucas if i wanted to to speak furter. Ive called Lucas, four times now, and emailed him and nothing. No return response at all. I will NEVER recommend this company and I wish i could go further than Lucas but after all my research I cant find any other contact. read more
