Henry Porras was very helpful showing me around Mathis Ontario for my first time. I am a super indecisive person and he was very patient. We definitely got our steps in that day because we walked through everything. The store itself is huge and beautiful. Unfortunately, there were only a handful of pieces I liked. They have a pretty bistro and a bar. I did enjoy their fancy massage chairs. Thank you Henry for taking the time to listen, being informative and kind during my visit there.

Noel Sofa - A Long Overdue Praise We purchased our Noel Sofa back in May 2025, and although this review is a bit delayed--thanks to the usual life and work priorities--it's absolutely deserving of recognition. My wife and I are thrilled with how beautifully it complements our family room. It's stylish, comfortable, and has quickly become a centerpiece in our home. That said, my wife has jokingly banned me from sitting on it to keep it pristine--but I can confirm it's incredibly comfortable! Friends and family who've visited have all complimented its look and color. I'll admit, I'm not the easiest customer--I know what I want when I'm spending my hard-earned money. Thankfully, our sales agent, Isaac R., was outstanding. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. Given the size of the store, I'm impressed by how well he knew the product line. Both the sofa and Isaac R. deserve 5 stars. If you're visiting Mathis Home, I highly recommend asking for Isaac R. You'll be in great hands.

Avoid Mathis Home at all costs. The Troy sectional we purchased is so uncomfortable to sit on now, the base has no support, sinking after only 2 years, while our 10-year-old Living Spaces sofa is still in great shape. We scheduled a pickup for both pieces so they can "fix it", and they only took one, left a 2ft scrape on our ceiling in the process, then failed to show up for the rescheduled pickup. Customer service is awful, unorganized, and I'm having to call them to follow up constantly since they don't actually call back when they say they will. Mathis has completely lost my trust & wish I could just dump this so I don't have to deal with them and buy elsewhere but the sectional we purchased wasn't cheap & we added the "protection plan" to it too. Save yourself the trouble & headache and go elsewhere for furniture that would actually last.

500,000 ft. of amazing furniture, they have a clearance area and a designer clearance area along with a beautiful bar and bistro that has great food and prices. The manager upfront Josh was so welcoming and Lindsay the designer was beyond fabulous in creating all the personal options needed.

I visited this store hoping to find a sleep sofa that matched the one I had previously purchased here back in 2020. I knew it might be a long shot, but if it wasn't available, I was ready to invest in a completely new living room set as long as it included a sleep sofa. My original plan was to spend about $1,500-$2,000, but I was prepared to spend between $4,000-$4,500 for a full set if needed. When I walked in, Katie greeted me, and I explained that I wanted to get information about my past purchase first, and quickly that a cashier would be able to help me, which Rebecca was absolutely amazing she went above and beyond to help me locate the original order. I really appreciated that! After that, I asked a sales associate where the sleep sofas were. He pointed to the back of the store and simply said, "All the way in the back." I was surprised he didn't offer to walk with me or guide me, but it's fine. When I got to the back, there was no one around to assist or answer questions, so I took pictures and went back to the front and spoke with Katie again. I explained I had a question, and since no one was available to help earlier, she offered to call someone. I said no thank you, I had mostly figured things out and I will likely order online. However, while I was speaking to her, she continued looking at her laptop not once making eye contact or giving me her full attention. I understand multitasking, but when a customer is standing in front of you, basic courtesy and attentiveness should come first. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. At that point, I simply said thank you and left. Unfortunately, my purchase and my business will now be going elsewhere.

Zero mattresses removal!   They told me they don't do mattress removal over the phone on my delivery day!   So I had to remove it myself.

It's December 13, 2024, and Rick from Mathis Bros contacted me via Yelp after I left a review that same day. Prior to this, I had reached out to Mathis Bros numerous times, only to be told that management would call me back either the same day or the next--calls that never came, despite my repeated attempts. I made every effort to give Mathis Bros the opportunity to resolve the issue before posting a review. In fact, I explicitly told them, "Here's your chance to fix this issue before I leave a review." However, after 10 days of waiting with no response from management, I posted a detailed review of my experience on Yelp. Interestingly, that seemed to do the trick, as Rick and the business manager promptly responded to my review on Yelp. While they did refund the Elite Delivery Fee, they never returned my phone calls. It seems this is how Mathis Bros operates--only responding when public reviews force their hand. It's like they're giving me a refund to make me go away. Those 10 days of stress, trying to get someone to address my concerns, were unacceptable. Even with the refund, it doesn't make up for the frustration I endured just to get their attention. I find it unacceptable that a business would respond only after a public complaint. They should address issues promptly and stand by their products and services, not delay for over a week. Honestly, I believe that if I hadn't left the review, I'd still be waiting to hear from them. For this reason, I will never shop at Mathis Bros again. Even though my sales people were awesome and I would buy from them again if they were at a different business, the management here and the people behind the scenes really need to maintain and focus on customer service. The sales people are the only reason I'm giving a three stars. If it wasn't for my sales people, they would be getting a one star.

Stain.

The sales team was accommodating and friendly. That being said, they sold me on the protection plan highlighting that it covers stains. I have called to file two claims for stains (I have 3 kids) and they seem to make every excuse under the sun to not come out. We paid extra for this service and they refuse to provide the service I was promised at the time of purchase. Full on scam. I would not have purchased two white couches as a family of 5 if they didn't assure me that accidental stains were covered. I truly want a refund on the protection plan asap.

Hello Julie, you only need to email your account information and request to MathisRewards@Mathishome.com. They will cancel it for you and send you a confirmation email.

I don't care about customer service issues. What is the quality of the furniture? When people give low ratings for customer service, it's not helpful at all.

Our power base broke after 10 minutes of owning it and they still won't exchange it.

Do you still have your "damaged" department?

Yes, we have our Clearance department. This includes closeouts, special purchases as well as some slightly damaged items. Items move quickly in and out, so come on in!

The salesperson, Moe was able to assist us in picking the correct mattress for our bodies and the way we sleep. He was able to answer all of our questions about how mattresses should work for us to provide better sleep. We laid on several mattresses before we made a choice. No pressure, only suggestions and logical advice on what we should be looking for. We then made our choice and they mattress was then made to order and delivered a little over a week later. The delivery guys did all the work and were great and hauled away our old mattress! The price was also far more reasonable and will last longer than shopping at some of the other big mattress stores who don't know how to fit a mattress to the person. We are so happy with our new mattress, the delivery people and the salesperson, Moe that we would highly recommend anyone looking for a mattress give Cost Plus Mattress place a try. Two different couples on our recommendations shopped there and were also very happy with their purchase for the same reasons we were. This is a family owed business and they really know their stuff.

Last Saturday I went shopping for a bed. I needed a mattress for my spare bedroom to become a guest…read morebedroom. I started at Macy's and then proceeded to JCPenny's. I was looking price wise to pay for a bed that will be used a couple of times throughout the year. I had no luck at the previous two stores. Everything was super expensive and nothing was really on sale. I checked on one of the beds that was on clearance and the quality was very poor. In May 2025 I went shopping for a new bed for me. I started at Sit N Sleep in Montclair CA. I ended my search there. The salesman's name was Rich and he listened to me and what my needs were. I purchased a bed that day. I went back to Sit N Sleep yhis time and I spoke with Danny Ventura, the store manager. He listened to my needs and after trying a few of the beds he suggested, I was able to settle on the perfect choice for a bed. The employees in this store are very knowledgeable and really listen to what the customer's needs are. Danny hooked me up and I couldn't be happier! This will be my go to store whenever I need a bed again. So if you're in the market I suggest wholeheartedly that you try this store on Central Ave. in Montclair. I guarantee that you will be 100 percent satisfied with your purchase! Thank you very much Danny for hitting it out of the park a second time!

2/1/26 Thanks to Teddy, I ended up FINALLY buying the pillow I've been NEEDING. "the perfect place…read moreto rest your melon", by Honeydew Sleep Company. It's $129- now I can rest a little easier/better. We went in to buy a mattress & we narrowed it down to the infinity (Sit n Sleep brand) King split, adjustable, After visiting so many stores, it looks like we are going to decide on this one thanks to the helpfulness ofTeddy. Delivery is $200 but we'll pick it up, luckily we have a truck. They can have ready by this Thursday (Feb. 5th)for us to pick up. Other places like Living Spaces quoted 2 weeks- That's cutting it close for us. It's a world of a difference when the salesman is very courteous & forthcoming, we greatly appreciate it. They a great selection of mattresses & service is mindful. Parking is shared with other shops in the plaza but this weekend, it's no problem. It's the best time to purchase because it's Presidents' Day sale. We've been to a slew of places (Mattress Firm, Costco,, Living Places, Macys, Bob's) and so far this store sold us. We were in a hurry for another event so Hubby will return to settle or seal the deal. 2/5/26 ***** UPDATE: My husband came back the next day & sealed the deal, our mattress of choice was delivered a last Tuesday (2/3/26) & the delivery guys were great! Helped my husband set up. They were courteous, helpful & outstanding. So far my husband is loving the adjustable & comfortable aspect of the bed (even without the sheets hahaha). Such a relief!

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by John Ruiz. I had already done some research…read morebeforehand and had an idea of what I wanted, and John truly listened. He guided us through the pressure test and then showed us mattresses not only based on those results, but also tailored to our specific goals: we wanted something that stayed cool, had strong edge support, was great for side sleeping, reduced motion transfer so I wouldn't feel my husband moving around, and would work with our current adjustable frame. We thought the process would take 2-3 hours, but thanks to John's knowledge and attentiveness, we found the perfect mattress in under an hour! The bed is being delivered the very next day, which was such a bonus. What really stood out was that John never once tried to upsell us on things we didn't need he was thorough, detailed, kind, and knowledgeable every step of the way. Thank you, John, for making the experience easy and enjoyable. I would recommend you a hundred times over!

My experience at sit n sleep Ontario was akin to a never ending nightmare. I would not advise…read morebuying any mattress here, but if you do - Compare the Law/Legal tag on the mattress you try, and the mattress you receive. If you decide not to read, let your eyes tell the tale via the attached photos. To keep it relatively short, there is data on the law tags that tells you specifics of the mattress. One is "Net weight of internal filling material". This is essentially your wools, latex,polyfoam, fibers, feathers, ie the expensive stuff for the Comfort Layer. We tried a mattress in the storeroom that was a medium firm, very comfortable - we bought it. Received a mattress, Hard as a rock, mind you we gave it over two months to 'wear in'. After comparing both LAW tags. Our mattress had 55 pounds of internal filling material, store room had ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY POUNDS. Yes, 130% MORE pounds of comfort material. Can you imagine HOW MUCH MATERIAL that 130 pounds IS? No wonder our bed was rock hard. The salesman and customer service will claim to have no idea what it means (despite their combined 50 years of experience) laughable. Yet these industry professionals have no idea what information a basic mattress law /Legal tag is providing. Intentionally dishonest. We opened an investigation with them so they asked to give another chance and send a replacement. Their delivery truck arrived and we rejected a worse mattress with even less filling material. We verified our information with other stores/professionals to validate. We were knowingly deceived. At every step of this nightmare, the personnel became more unbearable. The customer service was incredibly rude, inappropriate, and hung up on us multiple times. Its all clouds and rainbows until their warranty or money is in jeopardy. Their customer service even tried to tell me lies about me confusing the law tag with the store price tag. Intentional dishonesty. We finally had enough and requested a refund, they couldnt promise a full refund they stated. The 3rd time we were hung up by customer service on was due to our unavailability to a same day pick up of the return. Once their team arrived to pick up the mattress, they grabbed the pillow cases, adjustable base, protective sheet, extra hardware - and said the mattress was not on the refund sheet, REFUSED to take it, LEAVING the mattress. To be fair this was likely the company that botched this, willingly or not. After going somewhere else i realized how low quality the adjustable base even was. Please think twice about going to Scam n' Sleep. Deceptive, Fraudulent, Dismissive, Inappropriate, Dishonest. I have never had this experience with this size of a legitimate company before Id wish it on nobody else. Go elsewhere. If nothing else - see with your own eyes with the attached mattress tag photos.

I wanted to update my previous review for Bob's Discount Furniture after completing the delivery…read moreprocess and it was just as impressive as the in-store experience. I received a link via email that provided real-time tracking and an ETA, which made planning much easier. The only caveat is that the ETA is constantly updated, so you do have to keep checking. For example, my original window was 3:30-4:00, but the final delivery time shifted earlier to 2:30-3:00. That said, the delivery team arrived exactly on time within the updated window. They placed the couches exactly where I wanted them, assembled everything including the stools and made the entire process seamless. Everything was quick, efficient, and completely stress-free. I've loved the entire experience from start to finish; highly recommend!

If I could give zero stars, I would. First off, they seem very friendly to get your sale, as many…read moresales reps do, but the process turned out to be extremely deceptive. My husband and I were given the option to pay for our couch through Acima. Mind you, it was never clearly explained that there is essentially a hidden rental structure. The Acima manager tells you that you have 90 days to pay off the early purchase price, but there is no clear mention of the rental fees or that if you don't pay it off within those 90 days, the total price can nearly double. That means we could end up paying around $8,000 for a $4,000 couch. Here's where it gets worse. When they checked our credit, we were told we weren't approved for the full amount through their in-house financing, so they suggested splitting the purchase between my husband and me using Acima. Initially, the Acima representative told me to check my email and I received a message saying I was approved for $1,950. However, when billing actually started and I logged into my account, it showed that I had been approved for--and charged for--the full amount of the couch. What actually happened is that Acima approved both my husband and me individually for the full price and opened two separate accounts for the full amount of the couch. Instead of splitting the cost, we are each being charged the full total of approximately $4,559 for ONE couch. We were also asked to provide both of our bank accounts and personal information, which we later realized was unnecessary since each of us had already been approved for the full amount individually. I am being charged $215 twice a month, and my husband is being charged $395 a month. When we signed up, it was explained as if there would simply be two payments per month--one from me and one from him--not two separate full financing accounts. To make matters worse, the day we received the couch the reclining feature began malfunctioning. We immediately put in a request to have someone come out and check it, but no one ever came to repair it. Not to mention they delivered half the couch and the rest of it came a week and a half later. Also, Acima has a desk located inside the store, but if you try to resolve any discrepancies with these practices, you end up being transferred back to the same representative every time, no matter which number you call. Overall, this experience felt very shady and misleading.
