Wow! This place is filled with crazy talented stylists! These women are positive, energetic, and really know how to deliver the magic. I see Nadia for my hair, and I love how she gives me exactly what I want, plus gives helpful home tips for care. She's warm and friendly and really listens to what your goals are, meanwhile using her expertise and professional opinions to deliver great results. Due to a booked schedule (she's that dang good!) I couldn't get my daughter in before the start of school, so she recommended another stylist for us. Talk about lifting up and supporting your fellow woman! Jacqueline is by far the best stylist I've gone to in my time searching for a good stylist here in modesto that I can see myself continuing to go to. She is definitely what I've been looking for. She spent about 5 or 6 hours today fixing my hair that I screwed up at home trying to box dye ‍ she didn't judge me for doing it and just helped me fix it and we didn't leave until we were both happy with it. I'm newer to the Modesto Area, I searched on here to try and find a salon that was up on trend and color. I setup an appointment with Kara, since she was the first one I saw that did style I like. I really love my cut and color. More on the subtle side but I would defintely recommend this salon. They were so welcoming and very friendly. Alot of good energy. I was way overdue for highlights and needed low lights to break up all the blonde that had accumulated in my hair after years of partial highlights. Omar is awesome! I have never left unsatisfied! You explain what you want and he does it! He is very professional and always washes your hair when you are done! Sure the price is a bit high for the area but it's well worth it! You definitely get what you pay for here! I have asked for fades, faux hawks, regular haircuts, etc. None of these have ever been an issue for Omar! The shop looks very modern and he has nice waiting chairs to relax in while waiting. He also has a wide array of magazines to thumb through while chilling for your turn. The music is always up to date and very upbeat! He has even offered me something to drink while wait, who the heck does that in Modesto?!?! If you want a good haircut, this is the place to go! So you know, I usually pay around $25 dollars, that includes the tip. Shoot, maybe I seem cheap now! Sorry Omar but once I get rich, I will up the tip!!! Basically I'm very satisfied with Omar. He's the salon owner and he was patient with me because I was pretty uncertain of what I wanted specifically. All I could say was that I wanted my hair blonde. The other yelpers reviews made it a no-brainer for me when choosing where I'd like to go. He gave me a great cut, fit me into his schedule for the day on very short notice and colored my hair perfectly. I'm just very satisfied because other stylists had never given options when it came to my hair..they just would tell me your hair is too damaged and I can't bleach it. Omar told me what would happen if he bleached it and then gave me solutions such as cutting it to my shoulders and layering or we could trim it periodically and add highlights as the damaged hair was removed. I opted for the cut so I could have instant satisfaction...satisfaction being the highlights that I ultimately wanted. I'm not the kind of person who has the patience to wait around for hair to grow,,, I said cut it where it needs to be and make me a blonde! I highly recommend him! read more

I went to Trim Salon because of their positive Yelp reviews for the first time today. Let me just say that...... KARA ROCKS!! She is amazing! I am so lucky to have found her and I LOVE the salon. I am sick to death of walking into "salons" that offer every service under the sun but do none of them well. Trim Salon is a REAL Salon, with talented, friendly staff, great prices, and did I mention Kara Rocks???? If it was my choice I would give this place zero stars. Called yesterday and left a message informing them I would like to schedule a haircut appointment. Because of the reviews I figured this would be a good spot to try. And I never received a call back. Obviously not wanting to gain a customer. I feel as a business someone should return a call within the first 24 hours. A day and a half later still nothing.... On to the next. Certainly Trim Salon has plenty of high ratings, and, in fact, that is why I selected them. That, and the fact that my stylist of 10 years just moved away. I made my appointment via Yelp, and was set for a week later since they were so busy. An hour or so before my appointment I get a text that my new stylist's roommate left town with her car keys and so we would have to reschedule. I tried to reschedule via MyTime (this does not work, bot Trim Salons issue though), Yelp, and calling directly, trying each approach multiple times. I would receive a text a day later that the appointment could not be scheduled. Each time I called, I received and answering machine asking me to leave my info and I would receive a call sometime soon. In fact, I never received a call, and this happened multiple times. So, perhaps this is just the strangest coincidence, or perhaps something has changed and they are going downhill. I am an incredibly busy guy, and this much hassle, and still being without an appointment, is way over my threshold of acceptability and I would venture to guess that it is over yours as well. Note: I had a very nice follow-up call from Nadia, the proprietor. She made a couple of nice gestures to to try to 'make it right' but after two weeks of trying to get my hair cut, it just is not possible to change my experience. However, I did want to be fair to acknowledge her effort. read more

After giving my boyfriend a crooked Spock haircut one too many times, I figured it was about time to find a salon. And we couldn't be happier -- Omar really knows his stuff. Even though my boyfriend's hair is short, Omar used his magic scissors to sculpt it into serious hotness. We didn't give him much of a description to work with, but he was patient and knew exactly what to do. The salon is clean and chic, without being stuffy, and Omar is easy to chat with. As far as my experience at Trim: I called for an appointment and scheduled only to be called back and told I could come earlier if I wanted to. Great customer service. Nadia is superb. She helped me figure out what the best cut would be for the look I was going for. Not easy for a guy with a wicked widows peak. Kara is marvelous with her technique! I've brought her many specialized requests through out the years and she always astonishes me with what she can produce. She comes from a family that does hair, so I know she truely has an eye for what needs to be done. When I moved to Reno, I still make the 3 hour drive to see her. I do not like to leave a negative review, however, I was taken back by the customer service or lack of, before I ever stepped into the salon. I called during business hours last week, no one picked up, so I left a message explaining exactly what I was looking for. No call back. After a couple of days I called again, Kara answered. Evidently, she was with a client, kept saying she couldn't hear me, but would text me back shortly. I waited a few minutes, then tried a different location at home and called back, thinking the reception might be better. Again, she couldn't hear me and said she would text me when she was done. Ok. I waited all day but no call back or text. What? I made several attempts, trying to give salon the benefit. Nothing. I am so happy I met Nadia 3 years ago at another salon. I was booked with her by chance for an eyebrow wax and the rest is history. She makes me feel beautiful. My hair always looks fantastic (I get a dramatic A-line) and my eyebrows do too. I have really thick and wavy hair and she cuts it so it lays just the way I like it. Straight. Flat.
