Editing my review because Natalie says I didn't post the whole conversation of me being snarky calling her names and laughing at her. I called her baby & a weirdo, cause her response was so strange and unnecessary so she is a weirdo. She's lying. So here is me calling her "names" prior, mind you this is AFTER her ugly response AND you can see she blocks me after? Like huh? Even after her nasty response, I was nice and collective. Is this the way these "professionals and business owners" talk to people now? She is plain disgusting, unprofessional and again, a weirdo. I asked for price ranges, I was nice, professional and straight to the point. She responded so rude and blocked me. Of course I was taken back and upset. I think she thinks she's the only hair stylist in the area? DO NOT GO HERE! From a 5 minute text conversation you can already tell the type of person she is and it's just sad. Glad I didn't waste my money and time here. I'm a travel nurse in the area from Los Angeles, I have standards and expectations on who touches my hair. I was pleased by my haircut as a walk-in here. The stylist was pleasant and gave me a good price to come back for a color. But when she colored my hair, which I had wanted to have only blonde highlights, she made it so blonde that I had friends ask if it was me. I had a 1:30 appointment today February 4, 2021 at Modern Cuts on Oakdale Road in Modesto. I really was looking forward to it since I've been going through so much lately after my mom passed away recently of covid so I wanted to treat myself. I walked in with my mask on and noticed there were some hairdressers and some customers not wearing masks. Once I found out who my hairdresser was going to be she was one that was not wearing her mask just has the customer that she was cutting his hair also without a mask. I counted between 6-7 people not wearing their masks. I noticed the front desk woman was wearing a double mask which I appreciated. I talked to a woman who was wearing a mask I believe she was the owner and I brought this to her attention. She said they are wearing masks and I told her look around she realized everyone was not. I told her I want to cancel my appointment immediately. As I walked out I heard someone sarcastically tell me 'report it'. I didn't see which Sarcastic person said that stupid remark, but I turned around and said I am going to report it so I called the health department county office to make the report for their investigation. They should not take this Covid virus lightly and should protect their customers and employees. That salon and owner should require masks to be worn and develop a Covid 19 Heath and Safety plan for themselves and their customers. I will not return bc if this! Stacy Rios, what can I say! I actually waited for 2 haircuts to actually leave a review because I think you never make a decision on the 1st exposure to a business or a provider. There are a couple things that separated Stacy apart from the rest of the people that I've dealt with here in Modesto: 1) Communication. She was easily accessible, and even if she was running a little bit behind, she let me know via phone that the appointment might need to be pushed a little bit or that she was going to be early. I really appreciated that transparency. 2) Delivery. she was very interested in the exact cut that I wanted. I brought in several pictures had them on my phone, and she even showed me pictures of previous gentleman that she had cut hair for to figure out if that was the look that I wanted. she was extremely interested in making sure that I received the cut that I wanted the most. I was debating to color my hair due to many times that the color of my hairs did not turn out the way I wanted. Went in for a trim and cleanup of the edges. Trim was fine but in cleaning up my edges, the job was done carelessly. Now my line where my short hair meets my long hair is no longer even as the hairdresser let the clippers trim off some long hair.
