A lady scheduled me in for July 24th at 12 i arrived to the salon for her just to tell me she didn't have time that moment and if i could come back in 40min.... I thought this was so unprofessional from her end and such a waist of time. I didn't end up going back because for what? when i had an appointment and didn't take me in. I came in this afternoon for my second haircut with Rocio. I'm SO happy with her suggestions! These are backed up by her adept skills and well-practiced techniques--to deal with my very fine, thinning hair. I have been allergic to ALL hair color for over 20 years. Rocio is able to cut my hair to show the white in it--as if I've had expensive highlights added. Also, my normally very straight hair...now has some weird texture and strange angles due to changes in my hair as I age. She REALLY knows how to work with these challenges to make my bob-cut work for me!! An added plus is my cut grew out beautifully over the four months it took for me to get the time to return! (I always feel that if a haircut continues to look good, and work for me over two/three months...it's the sign of a highly skilled stylist!!) So when it comes to my hair, I'm a simple girl. l don't have a favorite salon or a favorite stylist so I'm open to trying new places. While in the area, I saw Hair Connections and decided to try it out. I called and asked if they accepted walk-ins and if they could just dry cut my hair since I had just washed it and I was told yes to both. The stylist I was talking to, Yajaira, said she would be free at 5 pm, which was just an hour away, so I said sure! I walked in and loved the look of the place. It was trendy and clean with pops of glamour. I was inmediately greeted and acknowledged by Yajaira, who was in the process of finishing up with her client. I've been to some places where the stylists look like they just woke up, on the sloppy side, but all of the stylists here looked well put together and professional; Yajaira looked glamorous . Why does this matter? Because if the stylists care about their looks and the impression they're giving to their clients, then there's a good chance they'll care about the look they're giving me. So Yajaira was great! She listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for, a dry trim. She showed me how much she'd be cutting and went to it. She was a pleasure to talk to and very professional. I love my cut and will definitely be back. Oh and did I mention that a cut here is $15 with $3 off for checking in? Score!!! read more

My family and I moved here from the bay area and it's been hard finding a good salon out here. But, I am happy to say that I have finally found my girl!!! Rocio, at Hair Connections went above and beyond my expectations. She cut my daughter's hair and even did my son's before I made an appointment for myself. She was very attentive, super fun to chit chat with, and really took her time to cut and style my hair exactly how I wanted. I got my roots touched up and some cute baby doll bangs. I called The Hair Connection Salon spoke to a stylist with an accent, I asked who knows how to cut curly hair and she put Andrea on the phone, I asked if she knew how to cut curly hair and told me she does. So I went in and she cut my hair . I called her two days later, to let her know I needed my hair thinned out which I had told her to do in the first place . She told me I could come in and she was going to charge me an additional five dollars. So I called back the next day to question her about how come she is wanting me to pay the five dollars for a redo . And no stylist has ever had me pay more money for a redo. Then she told me it's a lot of work for her to wash my hair , and then she stated that she's giving me the option to come in with washed hair and no products in my hair, and then she will not have me pay the five dollars. The point is I payed her twenty dollars and gave her a three dollar tip . She did a terrible job on my hair . She does not know how to cut thick curly hair . And she has the nerve to tell me I have to pay her five dollars to come in for a redo, and she told me my hair is damaged, and I kept repeating myself about her wanting to charge me an additional five dollars for a redo , I was trying to make her understand that I was upset do to the fact that I have to pay an additional five dollars, instead of her just letting me come in and her fixing my hair and making it look correct. She had the nerve to hang up on me . I will never step foot in this salon ever again. It was the biggest mistake. read more
