I seen pictures of other people that she gives them extreme volume from zero to something but for my hair it was totally flat stiff and look like I had just woken up.. unfortunately I will not be going back to her and will not be recommending anyone to her because of my poor experience. Panache is the place that I always end up coming back to when I stray and find myself with some horrifying haircut or color. See, I have this tendency to not let my stylist know that they have made some minor flaw in my haircut or color, and I slink off with my tail between my legs, looking for someone new. I am never able to find someone quite as good, despite the aforementioned "flaw". I am the kind of person that actually gets a stomach ache on "haircut" day, and I have found a stylist at Panache that is unbelievable! She works with the shape of my face and thus far hasn't made a single mistake (5 cuts is in the realm of miracles for me). I had an appointment with someone at another salon that had been giving me "cocker-spaniel" type a-lines, you, know, the ones where they look nice in the back, but it just doesn't blend into the front, so you end up with cocker-spaniel ears for the front. I was unhappy, but afraid someone else would be worse, but when she stood me up for an appointment, that was enough to send me running back to my old friend of 20 years, Danny, a stylist at Panache, for a referral (he wont cut my hair anymore because I wouldn't stop crying once when I was a teenager and he cut my hair into a cute style, but I hated it). He set me up with Lauren Zarka, and I can't keep her cards in my wallet. People are stopping me everywhere to ask about my hair, and many have called her. She rocks, and I am promising to never ever slink off from her, I'll follow her to the ends of the earth. I hope I don't have to, because I really enjoy the cozy "family" but classy feeling of the salon. They sell great scarves, jewelry, and handbags at fairly reasonable prices. Another positive thing is that I have NEVER been steered wrong by anyone there as far as hair care products. My hair has never looked so good, and I'm quite pleased! Panache is hands down the best salon in the Modesto area. I've dealt with Lauren who is a young, talented girl who knows what she's doing. She offers great advice and always knows how to style my hair as well as my wife's and our two children. The atmosphere at Panache is fun and outgoing. The stylists do a great job of helping you anyway possible. This is a small thing, but the coffee bar at Panache is always fully stocked and happens to be some of my favorite coffee. Other prominent stylists at the Salon include Danny and Lanette who are very sociable. The owner, Lisa, does an excellent job at keeping the salon fully stocked with the best of the current hair product offered. I can tell she strives to provide the best experience for her stylists and their clients. Lisa is also very approachable when it comes to finding something special for a gift. She always has very nice, moderately priced, jewelry available for purchase as well as paintings and other home decor items. I've actually purchased a few items for my wife (she loved them!) for different occasions. Oh, as far as the other review regarding body waxing, Panache does offer a waxing service for facial waxing but since they do not have a specific waxing room set aside they do not offer full body waxing. Who would want to get a full body wax in front of people anyway?? I think that reviewer needs to calm down and enjoy a nice cup of Panache's coffee =) Overall, I would highly recommend Panache for all age groups and if possible try and connect with Lauren; she's our favorite! read more

One star for the one lady that was kind enough to at least briefly smerk at me after I stood there waiting for a "Hello can we help you ?" I couldn't believe the rudeness in this salon and the way they looked at me when I asked if anyone wanted to cut my daughters hair. They all turned there back and made my daughter feel uncomfortable.
