I had the pleasure of meeting Leonor at Lea's Hair Salon a few days ago. This salon is truly a gem, but I can see how it could truly be overlooked. I's kind of tucked off Standiford between two high fences, so if you didn't know it was there, you wouldn't see it. The facility is perfectly outfitted for a beauty salon. It is well lit, tastefully decorated, and it feels warm and welcoming inside. I cannot comment on the parking, as I am handicapped and I use an electric scooter as my primary form of transportation. I have saved the best for last. Leonor . . .vibrant, beautiful, personality-plus. She listened (actually she asked for my hair-history) attentively and then she set to work her magic. Within a very short matter of time, she had perfectly transformed my "mop" back to the way I enjoy it the most. Leonor consulted with me as far as the amount to take off, if I wanted it shorter or longer in some areas, and she asked me to describe how I fix my bangs. Before long, I was paying the very reasonable tab, and I was able to meet and say hello to Erica, another stylist who was also welcoming. Overall, I would say that if more people just made an appointment, and visited this salon, then I would be having trouble getting an appointment. I know that there are a tremendous number of hair stylists, and many, many salons in the Modesto area. But this one is clean, tastefully appointed, and welcoming. Even though I left completely happy, I get the impression that they would welcome any customer back if there was any issue. Give Leonor and Lea's a try!! read more

The people here are so rude I was scheduled for a consultation and they're sitting on your phone not even introducing themselves I'm new here in the area and instead of trying to help me with my hair they just say they couldn't do it I know they were factor to things but I have had my hair done before when it was dark and it's just sad that people don't want to get business when I would've paid a lot of money to get my haircut in layered and died I hope you provide better customer service next time especially during a pandemic when people are trying to help your small business business read more

Worst non service ever... not wheelchair or elderly friendly... and do not be 5 minutes late I even called and said we would be a few minutes late ... they said okay no problem.. when we arrived the owner parks in the only Handycap parking on site... with no blue tags visible on car... parking is limited if you use a WC don't go here the lady at the front was absolutely just Rude over all read more

Went to Lea's yesterday for the first time and met Leonor for a hair cut. Talked about some bad haircuts and what I was looking for and she assured me that she could help repair the previous cut. She did a great job and I cannot recommend her strongly enough! Going back soon and probably going nowhere else as long as she is available. Not at all happy with my haircut, got an awkward cut and it was definitely not worth the time and money.

I just want to start out by saying Erica who works for this salon is amazing and so kind. Erica took my appointment last minute before I went on vacation. She is a hair goddess to say the very least. My hair has never felt or looked so good. I damaged my hair a couple years ago from hair extension and They ripped out my hair up to about 50%. Luckily, I have thick coarse hair and I still have enough. I just always wore it under a hat after thinking it could never look good again. I was Nervous because my appointment had to be short as I did have to work at 10 a.m. And the salon opens at 9:00. Since we didn't have too much time I asked to just have a trim and deep condition. The receptionist who made Erica and I the appointment said, of course we'd have enough time. We talked during our appointment and I felt completely comfortable with her. She took her time and only charged $30.00. The deep conditioning was THE BEST! She applied it in my hair and let it sit for 10 minutes then proceeded to rinse. My hair never felt better! I told her not to cut my hair too short, but I wanted it healthy. She did just what I asked. I am so glad to have found her! She's definitely got me for all my future hair appointments! read more

I have super thick hair and a lot of it. Before I came in I was really scared and nervous. I have had more than a few bad experiences where "professionals" said they could cut my hair and left it an uneven mess. Today was my first visit and I had my hair cut by Leonor. I'M IN LOVE with my hair. She did such a good job and my hair looks fantastic whether I straighten it or leave it curly. I would definitely recommend Lea's Hair Studio to everyone. This was my first visit to Lea's today. I found it on Yelp and decided to give them a try, I am so glad I did! First, I was impressed by how clean and inviting the place was; with plants and a beautiful Christmas tree to greet you. I met Ana, very nice, polite and I enjoyed talking with her. Great place to get a hair cut. This place is awesome I give it a 10/10. I went in today to get my hair cut since its been a while and my barber has been busy. I was recommended by one of my co workers to get cut by Lea herself. I went in right after work around 4:30, found one of my friends getting a hair cut there too. I was greeted by another lady who did an amazing job cutting a kids hair, it was a nice comb over fade. The wait was amazing I was being cut immediately only had to wait for about 10mins. The cut I decided to go with was the faux hawk, Lea was the lady who took on the challenge and did an amazing job at it, she blended in the hawk well. She was also fast but cautious and super friendly. You can tell she has plenty of experience at cutting hair. She only charged $15 I gave $20 for the good job. Definitely will be going back more often I strongly recommend over Super cuts or any other beauty salon. Leah gets down, and so does the other lady in the middle, the younger lady I didn't see cut men hair but I'm pretty sure she's good too. Two thumbs up for this place definitely!! read more
