I got a shaggy mullet, which I was really excited about but had been ghosted by another salon when I mentioned the style. Dani totally got the vision and gave me exactly what I wanted. She was incredibly thoughtful throughout the appointment, stopping to have me run my hands through my hair and checking in with me before tweaking anything so I always felt comfortable and involved in the process. I went here for the first time to see Ericka! She was friends with one of my best friend friends so that was very nice! I had instagrammed her beforehand to show her inspiration pictures as well as my own hair so she had an idea of what we were going for. When I had arrived I brought her a coffee she is an absolute doll but boy is she busy (she's THAT good) the color was absolutely immaculate that she did! Basically exactly identical like the inspiration pics I had showed her via instagram beforehand. I have to upload a pic when I can because we did not take any. The vibe was busy busy! They also have a section where you can get your nails done, I love that with salons it's fun and very lively'!! A bit pricey but worth absolutely every penny she is absolutely AMAZING at what she does and a true artist! It is so hard to find someone good with blonde! (Apparently it is the hardest to do) I have gotten so many compliments this week she absolutely nailed the color and j love it so much! I could almost NEVER contact my stylist, or just never get a reply back at all. I usually wait 2 or 3 days before I get lighter on my roots because if not I get very bad blisters, excuse this part puss, and she won't listen and makes sure to wash my hair. She sprays water in my ear and my face and never gave me a towel to clean myself up. Getting your hair washed is supposed to be the best part... Getting your head scrubbed viciously with waterlogged ears is not fun. I like having a sharp point on my bangs going down between my eyes and then a circular bang going around my brows and she never could do it no matter how many times I explained. There were a couple times I sat in my car and cried after my appointment because I didn't like it but there was no way to save it because certain parts were too short. It's probably just this specific person and not the entire salon, but this is a bad look. read more

Very nervous about getting my daughters hair done in Modesto after a very bad experience at another salon. We usually go to Pleasanton. I needed an appointment asap for an upcoming trip for my daughter. I saw rave reviews for Ericka n decided to book . She was having a hard time achieving the look she was going for. She previously had red in her hair a year ago and was having a hard time getting out of her hair. She wanted to be a beautiful dark brown. I dropped my daughter off and when I picked her up I was stunned. Ericka exceeded my expectations. Her hair was gorgeous!!!! And felt healthy. She did a wonderful U cut on her as well that didn't take any length off her ( that was important) but gave her a style and cleaned up dead ends . Ericka was super friendly and personable. She was also very informative. I'm very happy we chose to come her and see her . I loved so much that I am going to get my hair done by her , I heard blonde is her specialty he he . Gaby did my highlights and a root melt a little over a month ago and I could not be happier. After having blonde blindness for years, I went dark for 2 years and finally decided to lighten up my hair before my birthday. I explained to her how I used to be so blonde and wanted a more "bronde" look and she definitely understood the assignment. Listen, I came here because of I follow my stylist Alyana!! The salon is super cute a little confusing as there are so many doors of entry. It was quiet and relaxing which I loved. My service was PHENOMENAL per usual with my girl. She's so funny, charismatic, my therapist and just overall a wonderful loving person. I LOVE HER WORK!!!!!! If you go here I do not recommend Dani. I had my hair done on 10/4 with Dani. My hair was originally red. Before I actually saw her, I sent her pictures of my current hair and let her know I wanted to go purple. A vibrant purple. She said she could do it. She quoted that I would be there for 4 hours. The day of my appointment not only was I there for 8 hours but left with hair so dark that it looked black! At my first appointment she kept saying if you're not happy I'll take care of it. She said that to me multiple times. She DID NOT once say it won't be what you want. By the time I left it was late and dark outside. My hair looked black! I was shocked but she said in the sun you will be able to see it more. Also, please note multiple people she works with kept telling her that I wasn't gonna be purple but Dani kept saying "nope she's gonna leave purple." Full disclosure, I did say the purple looked great but I wish it was brighter but this was literally the next day. I was also trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. I also went back to get my haircut adjusted because she didn't even do that correctly. When I came in to adjust the haircut I had only washed it one time and it was still super dark. On 10/13 I leave for Mexico. While there I washed my hair one time (since the original appointment this was my second wash) after this wash my hair looked blotchy and uneven. People on this trip even noticed! I had to keep my hair curled because it looked bad. I have had my hair done multiple times before and have never had this happen. I texted Dani when I got back on 10/20 (16 days after service) to let her know what was going on. She asked me to come in which I did and this time something had changed. She was very different towards me very passive aggressive! I explained to her what was going on and she blamed me saying well when you swimming in the ocean or pool this can happen! FIRST OF ALL I've been getting my hair bleached and vibrant colors for almost 8 years and I know never to go to the pool or even ocean right after. Just to be clear I DID NOT go swimming in the pool nor the ocean which she kept saying I did. Yet she blamed me and decided to charge me $85 to add more purple to my hair to cover up the blotchy and uneven areas until my next appointment. Even though said she would take care of me. I ended up not doing this and leaving because I had purple hair dye at home that I ended up using. When I got home I was shocked and kept thinking how rude she was and the fact that she was gonna charge me so I messaged her asking how much the next appointment would be and she never responded to me! Then I cancelled the next appointment and still she did not once message me! I reached out to the owner and the only thing she could offer was a redo and I am not comfortable going back. The issue overall is that in the 8 hours she didn't do what she said she would do and when I told her I was not happy she was going to charge me. Also she was very rude and passive aggressive towards me. (Others have confirmed this) I ended up on going to another stylist and they were stunned and let me know that my hair was not done well. Destiny did such a great job with my hair. I haven't gone to a salon for at least a year since I was pregnant and Covid was pretty rampant so my hair was pretty long and I just relied on box dye. So, my hair needed some extra TLC and lots of blending. Being a new mom, time is so valuable and limited but Destiny was so flexible and accommodating. She was able to book me last minute. I got a cut & color here. The color was FANTASTIC. However, it took so long I was handed to another staff to finish the cut. After I went home and let the color set for a few days, I styled my hair and noticed for the first time my hair wasn't just crooked, it looked like a mountain ridge with slopes and peaks! Went to get my hair cut, dyed, and layered, photo in hand of what I wanted. Wanted simple caramel brown balayage but my hair came out burgundy! It was nothing like I wanted so my stylist then had to tone down the red tones. Keep in mind, I was already here for 3 hours! So after paying full price for what I didn't want, I went home, waited a week, then returned to get it fixed because I couldn't walk down the aisle with now burgundy & orange colored hair (the color changed after 2 washes). Only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the stylist offered to fix it free of charge, which is nice of her. I'm just upset that I wasted in total 6 hours and $300 for something I didn't ask for. read more

My hair was already in pretty good shape I just wanted a color change because my hair was more a warmer blonde. I had gotten my hair done by Kate a few months ago and it looked amazing. I went back for a "touch up" right before my wedding and she was terrible. She would come for minutes at a time and disappear for long periods of time. One of the assistants (who was super cool, I think his name was Carlos) did most of the work. She also dyed my hair slightly different than the first time. She made my roots really dark... I think she wanted to justify the $140 that she wanted to charge me.
