Last weekend was my first and only appointment with Layla, and I was very disappointed by her lack of professionalism and transparency. I paid $200 for my hair and was unexpectedly told there would be a $6 credit card fee--something she never mentioned beforehand--on top of the $50 cash tip I gave her. I also paid $85 cash in advance for my mom's roots plus what she quoted as a $35 haircut, but when my mom came in, my mom decided to skip the haircut and only do her roots. Despite that, no credit or refund was offered, and my mom left with a visible brown stain on her forehead from the dye. I do not recommend this salon for fine hair or to get a permanent. I wish I could give it negative stars. I went to Layla Odessho because she did a good job with my roommate's thick hair. Mine is baby fine. I told Layla I wanted a wave perm to give my hair body, but not curls, so I could make finger curls after shampooing. She didn't listen, she gave me a very tight perm that made my hair kinky down to the scalp. The scalp on the top of my head is damaged and tender, and the hair on the top and sides is broken. She charged me $100 and now it will cost me more money for a different salon to repair the damage. I was shocked when I saw myself in the mirror, it was hideous I looked like Bride of Frankenstein. read more

Mariana is so amazing!! She made sure I was perfectly okay with how she outlined them , constantly asking if I was sure which made me feel comfortable letting her know if I wasn't.. I loooooove my eyebrow. So worth it!!! I originally made my apt in October and my first apt was around November 23, she lightened my microbladed area which had turned red. I walked into this salon around 1pm. The staff were conversing with one another for a while. Surprisingly they never greeted me. So I sat down and waited on a chair near the entrance. There was a women performing nail care on a customer near the door on my left. She also never said anything to me either. The noticed the hair stylist I went to a while back was there finishing up a client. She didn't see me enter. I decided to walk near her station and kindly ask her if she has time to take me as a walk in. She was friendly and said she would help me. Overall, I was satisfied with my haircut, however the stylist was late to the appointment and I didn't sit in the chair until 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment. The main reason for the 3 stars is that I felt uncomfortable the entire time. The stylist was within close proximity of me because she was (obviously) cutting my hair and the entire time she was not wearing a mask. Everyone else in the salon was wearing a mask though, so this isn't a reflection of the entire business, however I did feel unsafe and uncomfortable because of it. read more

I called and set an appointment. I had gotten Mariam as my hair stylist. She was great. I told her I wanted a short one sided A line. And she was very hesitant to do so because of course you don't want your client to walk out hating the haircut. Going from long hair to dramatic short hair. So she suggested we go short little by little and that's what she did. There was a point where I was like 'oh my gosh, this length is good,' but she kept going. And in the end I hated it at first. Of course it's hard to take in I had to cry it out and be dramatic by myself. After a day of getting used to it I got used to it. Thank you Mariam for my great haircut. :) read more

I showed up in the middle of the day on a Thursday without an appointment but was still able to get my haircut. All of the stylists were with customers but still said they could work me in after a few minutes. Eileen was able to get to me after just a couple of minutes wait, she was doing highlights for her client so she could work on me while the color set. She quickly got to work and trimmed a good length of my currently long hair, cleaning things up. She finished with the clippers, even tidying up my facial hair a little. Very polite and friendly, and a great job overall. $25 + tip and out the door. The shop was clean and welcoming with good atmosphere. A pleasant stop that I would repeat. read more

I had the best experience at My Salon! My stylish beautician (Erica Dollar) spent many hours color correcting my hair. I had previously used fashion colors on my bleach blond hair and the pink tones were stuck in there and would not come out. So Erica skillfully lifted the pink out and reverse baliage painted my natural brown tones in. Then did a wonderful deep conditioning that made my hair silky smooth and trimmed out a crappy hair cut from a previous salon. Erica went above and beyond to make me feel great and look awesome. I'm so thankful to have such an experienced hair dresser. I would recommend her to everyone and I will be back for my next cut. She did such a great job. And the colors are growing out great now. Guys, do not be afraid to enter into "My Salon" if you go to Dianne. She is an expert in cutting men's hair and did an amazing 5, 0 and 000 Fade! Very clean like a razor cut and was incredibly fast!
