Came in the other day to get a haircut and was greeted by Dianne Dang. She is new to My Salon but has been cutting hair for over 15 years and worked at Great Clips in Riverbank for over 8 years! Guys, do not be afraid to enter into "My Salon" if you go to Dianne. She is an expert in cutting men's hair and did an amazing 5, 0 and 000 Fade! Very clean like a razor cut and was incredibly fast! Today was my second time here, the first time I saw Mindy. She did an amazing job with my A-line. I let my hair grow out so I can even it out and let it grow. Tonight I saw Eileen, I asked for her to even out my A-line. She asked if I wanted layers. I told her they didn't look good on my hair bc it is too thick, so it looks weird. All I wanted was a simple straight cut. After several attempts of telling her what I wanted she failed to cut my hair as I requested & gave me layers. It looks awful. I don't like it. AND it's super short! (So much for me growing it out!) Even after I had expressed my dislike for layers she did it anyway. She wasn't actively listening to me! She felt the need to style my hair the way she wanted. I can't believe a simple haircut turned into such a disaster! Bottom line, I know my hair. I've had it for 30 years. I know what I like and dislike. Please just listen to your customers requests next time! Bc I'm pretty upset. read more

After all the rants and raves I received from family and friends about Alyssa, I decided to trek the 90 miles to Modesto to get my haircut, not only did she hit the mark and cut my hair the way I wanted and not go with what she "thought" would look good on me. Eileen is our girl! She cuts my son's hair. Does a comb over. Knows the anatomy of his hair/head/face. Cuts accordingly to that and to his many cowlicks. She takes her time to ensure a job well done. Most places I've went to rush to get the next client in and never line him up or consider his cowlicks or cut too short (he's super blonde and will look bald.) DONT GO HERE!!!I went to "My Salon", September 30,2016 to have a trim and long layers, my hair stylist was Eileen Nhim she cut my hair she chopped so much of my hair off it's horrible! She didn't do at all what I asked I even showed her pictures of the look I wanted! When I spoke to her she told me I was just one of those people who wanted a free haircut! I also asked for a manager she said she was the manager! My hair is going to take at least a good year to grow out!! My husband, friends and family are all shocked at how my hair looks! Not once did she apologize, and no one from "M Salon" has called me back! I'm very disappointed !!! read more

I could not be more happy with how my hair turned out by coming here. Alisha did a perfect job getting the color exactly how I wanted and same with the cut. I called last minute on a Saturday and they were able to get me in at a perfect time, its very convenient. The staff is all very friendly and personable and I will definitely be coming back here. I've gone to a few different salons in the past and they could never get my hair how I wanted, this is the only salon that has exceeded my expectations. It sounds like they are under new management now and from what I've seen they are doing a very good job.
