The owner was my stylist and she went from being attentive and nice to being short, rude, and she constantly did other business while working on my hair. I went to this super cute salon and got my nails done by Jackie. My appointment was at 12:00pm but didn't get seated until 1:05. I was told she would be there at 12:30 but she didn't arrive until 1. That was the first red flag. Second red flag is my nails, you'll see from the pictures lol. I was charged $85 for an extremely late nail tech and poor work. I asked for a refund but was told it was my fault for not putting my thumb in the right way under the LED light (odd how it's my whole hand, oh and my fault) I was even told after the fact that she didn't even like doing chrome cause it's so difficult, here's a tip, don't offer it. $85 down the drain :) read more

A nice lady set up a massage, hair appointment and a manicure for my wife's birthday three weeks ahead of time. 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30. The masseuse wasn't on time. So we cancelled the massage. The stylist showed up late...we almost cancelled that one but kept it. The manicurist didn't have time to do the nails like my wife wanted. The stylist spent quite a bit of her time on her phone and my wife was not happy with the experience. Perhaps if the stylist had spent FAR less time on the phone...‍ read more

Angelica (Angie) was an absolute angel. I got a very expensive and bad haircut in the Bay Area and I was desperate to get it fixed. I was in town visiting family and walked into Inspirations. Angie greeted me and was super kind even though it was a Saturday and they were close to closing. I showed her my mess of a cut and she kept the salon open an hour after closing to accommodate me. I really have never had a hairdresser give me an honest assessment and provide feedback on what I had been doing wrong. Angie made a fantastic suggestion and gave me the best haircut of my life. Inspirations Salon saved the day for my daughter. We got treated rudely at SALON SALON in Modesto. DO NOT GO THERE!!! They canceled on my daughter didn't call her and we drove down there and they treated us like crap, like we did something wrong. Wouldn't accommodate my daughter and give her another stylist just told her too bad. The receptionist actually called my out to fight in the parking lot. I'm so thankful that I found a new hairstylist- Cassie D. She did such a wonderful job matching the color I wanted. This review is not necessarily about Inspirations Salon but a nail tech they allow to work through their salon --- 'nailsbydenna' (instagram). A few months ago I made a nail appointment with "nailsbydeanna" on Instagram through the link on her page for 1:55pm. I arrived on time and, while this being my first appointment and not knowing what she looked like, I waited for someone to at least acknowledge me. There were two ladies doing nails, one of them I now know was Deanna, and while she looked at me and I am sure knew I was her 1:55 appointment, she chose to disregard my existence. It was not until about 2:05, 10 minutes AFTER my appointment time, that another employee asked me what I was there for. Deanna and her other customer continued to chat and laugh it up until about 2:25, THIRTY MINUTES AFTER MY APPOINTMENT, when she finally called me back by yelling to me across the room because she could not be bothered to get up. Keep in mind the 'yelling' I am referring to was not in an aggressive way but she had to be loud for me to hear her as the distance from her station to the waiting area is kind of large. Then, aftering walking over to her stations she did not acknowledge or apologize for making me wait THIRTY MINUTES AFTER MY APPOINTMENT TIME. Throughout the entire duration of my appointment she gossiped with her coworker and only acknowledge me to tell me to switch hands, etc. At the end of the appointment, despite how rude she was and the fact that I had to wait THIRTY MINUTES, I tipped her an extra $20 because her work was the best I had yet (but I have only ever gotten acrylics at local salons before with random people) and asked her how I could schedule a fill with her if certain dates are not open to which she said I could text her about specific dates. I texted her about a week later and it has been months now and she still has never responded, not even saying that she was not available. While nailsbydeanna's work is "good," her attitude and professionalism is absolutely appalling. Since then, I have found other artists that not only have amazing work--but treat all of their clients amazing as well. read more

This review is inspired by Dumitru. You guys wanna know why I rated this 5 stars? It's because Dumitru is a miracle worker and he made me feel beautiful again. Before I start, I have to mention that I got my haircut at another hair salon just the day before. I went from long, boob-length hair to a short, little below the ears cut. It was a change that I embraced, I thought I liked the haircut until the next day I realized it's too thick and difficult to style the back because of how blunt the cut was. To be honest, my haircut standards are pretty low, but something compelled me to call up Inspirations for a spontaneous same day appointment (super accommodating!) and that was when I had the privilege to meet Dumitru. Dumitru is such a sweet guy. The vibe he gives off is sensible, passionate, and free of judgements. You can tell right off the bat he's the type of person that takes immense pride in his work, and his craftsmanship shows it. He truly is a master at his craft! He is knowledgeable with the way hair works and understands the complexity of layering. He excels with his cutting techniques and he has an incredible eye for style! My hair is now textured and layered enough even for the gods to see. I can't even come close to giving him enough props that he deserves. I didn't know what I wanted until Dumitru was finished with my look. I would never have thought short hair would be a look for me, but he surely proved my doubts wrong and made me wonder why the hell did it take me so long to cut my hair. Dumitru is the reason why people should come to Inspirations. If your hair stylist can't make you feel beautiful from the inside out then he absolutely will! He's the reason for my newly restored self-confidence and I truly hope more people will give him the opportunity to do the same for them as well! She did everything to calm my nerves that day, did an amazing job on my makeup, made my hair look like a million bucks (made it look like I have more hair than I actually do) & was so sweet to work with. Wanted to love this place but no. I was in need of a new nail lady because mine moved. I had been going to her for about 7 years so I know how good acrylics look and I'm picky about my nails. So I went in for a full set of acrylics. Worker was polite and friendly and staff is very pleasant. The problem was major lack of experience. 1. Using the drill on natural nail is a no no your suppose to use the nail file 2. After she put the acrylic on she didn't smooth them over with the drill she hand filed them.. leaving them super lumpy looking and uneven 3. She polished them without even wiping away the dust from all the filing (usually I'm asked to wash off before polish) 4. She didn't smooth under the nail to make a u shape. It was left super chunky 5. Every nail was a different length 6. It took a lifetime to be done and as an FYI when I came in a lady was getting a pedicure and still wasn't done even when I left and hour and a half later!! So if your looking for nails look elsewhere. read more

I'm so in love! Bonnie did such an AMAZING job on my hair. I came in for extensions (18-22) which was a big leap from having my hair just past my shoulders. She did awesome at blending my natural hair, from cut to color, in with the extensions. Not to mention she was incredibly helpful and patient with helping me figure out what was best for me throughout the process.
