let me tell you about kathy. she is patient, she listens closely, she cares about the health of your hair, she is thoughtful, she spends time ensuring she understands what you want and what your concerns are, and then she comes up with the perfect solution. kathy was able to find a solution for my hair nobody else thought of. after two years of disasters in other salons, i have finally found the best colorist. read more

When I first starting using this salon it was busy, great energy and lots of clients. Slowly, over time, it went downhill. The owner was my stylist and she went from being attentive and nice to being short, rude, and she constantly did other business while working on my hair. She made rude comments about clients who would call in. I left several months ago and she's never reached out to me asking why. I don't miss the negative energy from this salon. read more

I went to this super cute salon and got my nails done by Jackie. My appointment was at 12:00pm but didn't get seated until 1:05. I was told she would be there at 12:30 but she didn't arrive until 1. That was the first red flag. Second red flag is my nails, you'll see from the pictures lol. I was charged $85 for an extremely late nail tech and poor work. I asked for a refund but was told it was my fault for not putting my thumb in the right way under the LED light (odd how it's my whole hand, oh and my fault) I was even told after the fact that she didn't even like doing chrome cause it's so difficult, here's a tip, don't offer it. $85 down the drain :) read more

Jessica is SO amazing! I've been going to her for years now and only trust her with my hair. I go to her religiously every 3 months for cut and color and feel beautiful leaving her chair every single time. I've put all of my girlfriends on her services and they all find her work amazing. Her prices are also the best! She's also just an amazing person to chat with and I always leave with a smile on my face. Highly recommend you see Jessica for your hair needs. If you're also looking to get waxed she also provides those services too. read more

Had a standing 2 week nail appointment with Janene for about 15 years. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

A nice lady set up a massage, hair appointment and a manicure for my wife's birthday three weeks ahead of time. 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30. The masseuse wasn't on time. So we cancelled the massage. The stylist showed up late...we almost cancelled that one but kept it. The manicurist didn't have time to do the nails like my wife wanted. The stylist spent quite a bit of her time on her phone and my wife was not happy with the experience. Perhaps if the stylist had spent FAR less time on the phone...‍ read more

Have been coming to Inspirations for 15+ years. Best professionals and beautiful and clean salon

I have been seeing Jessica for my hair and waxing services since I was 13, (I'm 23 now). I couldn't recommend her more to anyone looking to get their hair or waxing treatment done. I live 3 hours away from the Inspirations Salon and drive there & back with a smile on my face knowing the satisfaction I'll have in my hair/eyebrows. 1000/100 stars all day long. read more

Angelica (Angie) was an absolute angel. I got a very expensive and bad haircut in the Bay Area and I was desperate to get it fixed. I was in town visiting family and walked into Inspirations. Angie greeted me and was super kind even though it was a Saturday and they were close to closing. I showed her my mess of a cut and she kept the salon open an hour after closing to accommodate me. I really have never had a hairdresser give me an honest assessment and provide feedback on what I had been doing wrong. Angie made a fantastic suggestion and gave me the best haircut of my life. Her and her husband are extremely talented and it is clear they stay current on the latest trends. Now I have to drive 2 hours to Turlock every 8 weeks to get a haircut. Thank you Angie! The salon is really cute and carries my favorite brand of leather purses (Hobo). Everything is really clean and inviting. read more

Cassie is a goddess. She did the hair for my entire bridal party for my big day and absolutely killed it. I had an updo that held up through the entire night, including dancing, and I was so tired after a long day I fell asleep with it - and it was still in tact. She has a fantastic eye for hair and an incredible ability to make hair visions come true. I LOVED everyone's hair and my girls couldn't stop raving either. read more

Inspirations Salon saved the day for my daughter. We got treated rudely at SALON SALON in Modesto. DO NOT GO THERE!!! They canceled on my daughter didn't call her and we drove down there and they treated us like crap, like we did something wrong. Wouldn't accommodate my daughter and give her another stylist just told her too bad. The receptionist actually called my out to fight in the parking lot. We ended up calling Inspirations Salon at 1:30pm and the sweet lady that answered the phone made an appointment for my daughter at 3:00pm. When we got there everyone looked at us and smiled, we got a friendly greeting and my daughter's stylist, Myra was amazing!!!! She listened to what my daughter wanted and delivered!!!! You want a friendly, professional, caring and stylist that listens go to INSPIRATIONS SALON!!!!! read more

The best salon in town. You just feel glamorous getting your hair done here and the staff is so welcoming. They have reasonably priced hair products with lots of variety. I'm so thankful that I found a new hairstylist- Cassie D. She did such a wonderful job matching the color I wanted. I've had the same stylist prior to her for 10 years and would literally wait months if I had to to see her, refusing to get my hair done by another stylist. Due to recent circumstances for my previous hairstylist, I had to find someone new. I was so nervous and sad at first (we've all been there) but I am so thankful she recommended Cassie. I would HANDS DOWN recommend Cassie to anyone who is looking for amazing talent and such a lovely sweet spirit. She is doing my hair for my wedding coming up and I just can't wait to see what she does! read more

This salon located downtown Turlock is wonderful. The owner kills herself to make sure it's a clean and wonderfule experience for everyone who comes in the door. Jessica is AMAZING! If you have ever been on the fence with getting a Brazilian wax (embarrassed, scared, listened to horror stories) you will not regret it! She makes you feel so comfortable and always answers any question or concerns. Not to mention her work is phenomenal! Highly recommend read more

The whole process was terrible Went for a pedicure , the salon smelt like chemical and the staff seemed lost I went to the back to an uncomfortable chair and the girl started , and the left to go text then came back and i looked at the bottoms of my feet they were really no better then when I came in, she had to ask for help to know what to do. They basically slathered lotion on and that was it. Was a waste of money and tries to come here over going to a chain location. Paid 35 dollars to go somewhere else to do the job She cut all my nails different, its just bad read more

This review is not necessarily about Inspirations Salon but a nail tech they allow to work through their salon --- 'nailsbydenna' (instagram). A few months ago I made a nail appointment with "nailsbydeanna" on Instagram through the link on her page for 1:55pm. I arrived on time and, while this being my first appointment and not knowing what she looked like, I waited for someone to at least acknowledge me. There were two ladies doing nails, one of them I now know was Deanna, and while she looked at me and I am sure knew I was her 1:55 appointment, she chose to disregard my existence. It was not until about 2:05, 10 minutes AFTER my appointment time, that another employee asked me what I was there for. Deanna and her other customer continued to chat and laugh it up until about 2:25, THIRTY MINUTES AFTER MY APPOINTMENT, when she finally called me back by yelling to me across the room because she could not be bothered to get up. Keep in mind the 'yelling' I am referring to was not in an aggressive way but she had to be loud for me to hear her as the distance from her station to the waiting area is kind of large. Then, aftering walking over to her stations she did not acknowledge or apologize for making me wait THIRTY MINUTES AFTER MY APPOINTMENT TIME. Throughout the entire duration of my appointment she gossiped with her coworker and only acknowledge me to tell me to switch hands, etc. At the end of the appointment, despite how rude she was and the fact that I had to wait THIRTY MINUTES, I tipped her an extra $20 because her work was the best I had yet (but I have only ever gotten acrylics at local salons before with random people) and asked her how I could schedule a fill with her if certain dates are not open to which she said I could text her about specific dates. I texted her about a week later and it has been months now and she still has never responded, not even saying that she was not available. While nailsbydeanna's work is "good," her attitude and professionalism is absolutely appalling. Since then, I have found other artists that not only have amazing work--but treat all of their clients amazing as well. read more

Mayra did an amazing job with not only helping me pick the right extensions but putting them in as well. I had red hair for over 10 years and she was able to turn me blonde in one session without damaging my hair. She also put color and cut my 6 yr olds hair. She was very kind and patient with my little one. Even without knowing this was her first visit to a salon. She is really good about fitting me in last min for a hair emergency. She's my go to for me and my little one. Highly recommend. read more

I love my hair !!!! Thanks to Bonnie :) I wanted to go blonde, my hair already had been lightened by a previous hair stylist but wasn't the blonde that I was hoping for, my friend told me about Bonnie, and I had seen her work on Instagram so I texted her and she made my appointment. She was honest with me and told me it would take a couple of sessions. She also recommend me products to use until my next appointment. Bonnie is very sweet and patient. read more

This review is inspired by Dumitru. You guys wanna know why I rated this 5 stars? It's because Dumitru is a miracle worker and he made me feel beautiful again. Before I start, I have to mention that I got my haircut at another hair salon just the day before. I went from long, boob-length hair to a short, little below the ears cut. It was a change that I embraced, I thought I liked the haircut until the next day I realized it's too thick and difficult to style the back because of how blunt the cut was. To be honest, my haircut standards are pretty low, but something compelled me to call up Inspirations for a spontaneous same day appointment (super accommodating!) and that was when I had the privilege to meet Dumitru. Dumitru is such a sweet guy. The vibe he gives off is sensible, passionate, and free of judgements. You can tell right off the bat he's the type of person that takes immense pride in his work, and his craftsmanship shows it. He truly is a master at his craft! He is knowledgeable with the way hair works and understands the complexity of layering. He excels with his cutting techniques and he has an incredible eye for style! My hair is now textured and layered enough even for the gods to see. I can't even come close to giving him enough props that he deserves. I didn't know what I wanted until Dumitru was finished with my look. I would never have thought short hair would be a look for me, but he surely proved my doubts wrong and made me wonder why the hell did it take me so long to cut my hair. Dumitru is the reason why people should come to Inspirations. If your hair stylist can't make you feel beautiful from the inside out then he absolutely will! He's the reason for my newly restored self-confidence and I truly hope more people will give him the opportunity to do the same for them as well! If you're reading this, you DESERVE to look and feel beautiful! Life is too short to have mediocre haircuts! Let this experience take you to a whole new level of confidence that's been locked inside of you this whole time! read more

I've gone all the way to LA to get lip filler from the #1 rated salon. The results were disappointing to say the least. Then I discovered Ana V. I've had permanent makeup done on my eyebrows and lips by Ana. Now I have better than LA results, paid a lot less money and the service was personalized with a hometown feel. I would recommend Ana to anyone and everyone! read more

I've been seeing Rebekah for my hair for the past 4 going on 5 years!! She's the absolute best with my color, she has taken me from natural dark brown to blonde and keeps a beautiful consistent color on my hair! She's the longest relationship I've ever been in (seriously) and she's never done me dirty... except dirty blonde! Inspirations as a salon is always so beautiful and clean. I love that I can come here and have a very classy, modern, upscale salon experience in a small town. I'll keep coming back no matter where I move. read more

This is my second visit. Sonia does an amazing job with my high/low lights, style, and Brazilian Blowout. She did such a great job that I was able to go six-plus months frizz-free!!! Also, she was able to schedule me quickly, then was there even when I showed up ten minutes early. Like most women nowadays, I'm a very busy person, so I appreciate prompt and expert service done right the first time. Highly recommend! read more

Had my wedding makeup & hair done by Vanessa, she's a true professional! She did everything to calm my nerves that day, did an amazing job on my makeup, made my hair look like a million bucks (made it look like I have more hair than I actually do) & was so sweet to work with. She even tied my wedding hair ribbon & gave me words of encouragement for my big day! You can tell that she really cares about her clients walking away satisfied & happy with how they look. I don't normally get my hair done at this establishment but she was probably the sweetest one there (who talked to me anyways) & I highly recommend her hair/makeup services. If I had another important occasion to get my hair & makeup done, I would not hesitate to schedule another appointment with her. Amazing job! read more

I highly recommend Dumitru! He is a master of his craft. He epitomizes professionalism, and what he did with my hair was magical. Most importantly, he is not just a stylist who says he understands what you want, and then does the opposite. He carefully listened to what I wanted, and involved me in the decision making process. Very skillfully executes so the outcome is exactly what you were expecting! Dumitru, as a stylist who's talent is off the charts. I will definitely be back! read more

Icela (I may have misspelled that) did an AMAZING job on my hair! She did exactly what I wanted and was super gentle. We had great conversation as well. I will definitely be back. I have been going to Inspirations for almost a year now. In addition to getting my hair done, I've added a few other services to my beauty regime and I have been very happy with each service. Brows by Denise, manis by Becky, and pedis by Clara. Each of these ladies are extremely professional and take great pride in their work. I always feel so relaxed and pampered when I visit. As I mentioned in my previous review, it can be really difficult to find quality professionals to tend to your beauty needs. I have been so fortunate to have found such professionals in a wonderful environment! read more

I'm so in love! Bonnie did such an AMAZING job on my hair. I came in for extensions (18-22) which was a big leap from having my hair just past my shoulders. She did awesome at blending my natural hair, from cut to color, in with the extensions. Not to mention she was incredibly helpful and patient with helping me figure out what was best for me throughout the process. I have never been so happy with how my hair has come out. 10/10 would recommend!! Such a cute and aesthetic place, not to mention CLEAN! I will definitely be back for more :-) read more

Moved to the area about 9 months ago and went through 3 salons/stylists before I found Inspirations. The cut and color were both very good, but darn if I can get another appointment! The first time I called..no answer. About 10 minutes later, I called and the person answered "hello?". Since she did not say the business name, I thought I had the wrong number. I said, "I think I have the wrong number," and before I could finish my sentence, she hung up. (I checked, and I did, in fact, have the correct number. Who answers a business phone with "hello"?). Called back one hour later and one day later to no answer at all, just forwarded to voicemail. Sorry, I will not leave a message. I call a business when it is convenient to me, not vice versa. Please! find someone reliable and professional to answer your phone. I have now scheduled an appointment somewhere else. On to my 5th stylist and salon. If they had answered the darn phone and given me an opportunity to go back, I would give 4 stars. read more
