DO NOT GO HERE! I went to Esmeralda after not dying my hair for a whole year, hoping to go blonde. However, she left my hair orange, and it looks exactly the same as when I went in. I paid $450, but I'm still unsure what she actually did to my hair. It's never looked this bad after getting it done. Now I have to wait to get it fixed by someone else, which is really disappointing. I expressed how I felt, but instead of addressing my concerns, she gaslit me, was dismissive, and only seemed interested in me coming back for a second session and paying more money--even though the initial results were horrible. To make matters worse, she said she didn't feel comfortable further interacting with me after I voiced my concerns about my hair. I drove over an hour for her to look at it and show her the results. She also said it would look better once I washed it but it looks worse. Please, do not go here! I attached a picture of the color before, the after results, and an example of the cooler blonde tone I asked for (I got warm/orange instead). Do NOT go to this place, unless you want your hair to be completely over-processed like mine, or unless you'd like a haircut that's uneven and horrible like mine. I had my hair done on Saturday by Andrea. I have not had my hair done in a few years, due to my baby needing two open heart surgeries and having extended hospitalizations. I was very excited for this appointment. I took a day off and am so saddened by the end result. I ended up spending $325 for a haircut that wasn't even- in face, I had to have fixed today and I paid for a color that that I did not want! To top it off, she left me orange/blonde/unmatched. I asked her if my hair was over-processed & she lied to me and said no. I am very upset about this and this is totally unacceptable. It is chopped off in the front. It was my biggest fear during the appointment. I kept asking what if my hair turns out to be over processed and she said it wouldn't. I had to pay almost $300 to get my hair fixed. Been going to Esme for years now! Esme is the best of the best! Always exceeds my expectation, she's so passionate for what she does and it shows. I came to Ariana (coloredbyariana) with virgin hair and asked for a balayage. Her and her assistant worked on opposite sides of my head and used completely different techniques. She over-processed my money pieces and my hair was very damaged. I asked her if she could fix it, I came in a week later and all she did was make it less obvious. This review goes for Stylist Ray. Let me start by saying Instagram profiles can be misleading with all the gorgeous picture of hair. My regular stylist wasn't available so I decided to come here. Ray was negligent with my hair and over processed my already lifted hair which resulted in major hair loss. She practically fried my hair. This is due to many factors to begin with she worked on a total of 3 clients during my whole time there. Super unprofessional, I had never been attended along with 3 other clients with one stylist. Since she was so focused on getting us all out the door my foils were over processed. To top it off she still charged me 130$ after acknowledging she ruined my hair. This was back in October, and it's depressing because it will take my hair years to recover. I highly recommend you don't go to Ray if you want a professional experience with a stylist who cares about your hair health. read more

I came in to the salon for a lash appointment. The girls up front let my lash artist know I was there and I was seen right away. The place itself is very clean and well kept, also the playlist was nice. My lash application went so well, the room was very welcoming and I had such a good relaxing experience. I got a classic set and they look really pretty, full and it feels so lightweight. My lashes came here it beautiful. The price was really good and Vivi was easy to talk to and very professional. I will definitely come back again to get lash fills. I would recommend to anyone whose looking into getting their lashes done and anything else, as the salon seemed very nice. Thanks Vivi! read more

Reading the other reviews on this salon, I am shocked! I have been going to the owner for over 3 years now AND have been going to this salon since it has opened. 1. the VIBES are always so on point. Always has the best music playing; upbeat/90s and 2000s hip hop (the best). Prior to Covid restrictions, everyone just seems to be in such a good mood, and I swear there are just compliments flowing left and right on hair done by others. 2. Esme has NEVER disappointed. She has gone through so many journeys along with me and my hair. From balayage, to ALL black hair, root coverage, chopped my hair off, BACK to balayage. She never has disappointed. For people who are making comments about cancellations, you really do have to consider that EVERYONE has their own lives... that includes stylists who work based on their own schedules. When I am unable to get in with Esme, I use the salon's instagram page to track down the other stylists. When I find someone, most (if not all of them) have a system of booking appointments. IF they don't reply to messages, just imagine receiving over 30-50 (if I am correct) text messages a day for appointments. 3. Karlos has given my hair the best BLOW OUT ever, and he didn't even have me as his client let alone even know who I am. He did it anyway and was super sweet about it - SO thanks Karlos! 4. Covid - They are doing everything they can to not only protect themselves, but clients too! I have to stay in my car, mask up, have my hair already washed, stay as far away from others, etc etc! There ARE salons right now in Turlock that are not requiring any masks or taking any precautions for whatever reason. Wow, I had a horrible experience at this salon with Kassandra. She had asked me for a deposit before the day of the appointment. I sent her the deposit before the appointment. However, she never mentioned the fact that it was nonrefundable. Kassandra is very unprofessional the first time she had canceled my appointment less than an hour as I was driving to the salon. The second time she canceled while I was on the chair in the salon and said she needed more time for my hair and made the third appointment. However, she never mentioned that the next appointment would cost me a lot more because it's considered a specialty cut. On the morning of the third appointment, I had asked her for a price If it was going to be more than what she quoted me ahead of time she texted me back yes, without giving me a price because it's going to be a specialty cut. I asked her to cancel my appointment since I could not afford to pay more than what she quoted me before and asked her to send me the deposit back. Then she tells me that the deposit was nonrefundable and I will not be able to get it back even though she had canceled my appointment twice. Then she sends me the flyer that that says the deposit is nonrefundable, after-the-fact, not before I made the appointment. Got my hair done by Nina. She did not do what I asked for and she refused to give me my money back. The whole situation made me feel very uncomfortable. I told her I did not like my hair and she knew I didn't like it, but she insisted that I go home and play with it as if I was going to change my mind. My hair was ugly and very brassy. I also had a lot of breakage. She kept telling me how much SHE liked it and even had another girl in the salon say that it looked nice. Which didn't matter to me because I didn't like it. I feel like she didn't listen to what I wanted and she just did whatever she wanted to do with it. I contacted the salon owner and she stated that Nina didn't do anything wrong. The owner is very kind and mindful, but it's sucks that she has MANY girls at the salon who are very uncommitted. I have been canceled on twice by one girl and then again by a different one. You'd think because the owner understands common courtesy so would the rest of her team. Definitely a need to reconsider her workers. I have been going to Esmeralda to get my hair done for a year and a half now and she's amazing! I'm so glad she opened this salon because it's a great atmosphere, spacious, right off the freeway, and there is plenty of parking. She is also friendly and welcoming to everyone who walks in her door. The first time getting my hair done by her, I made a bold move and went with a pixie cut and she nailed it! The second time was an a-line with a dark brown color and then finally this year I went blonde. After having permanent dark brown, the first photo shows how well she turned my hair blonde and the second photo is a few months later as a second session. I booked a few apointments with Lizeth Diaz and let me just say she is very unprofessional and not punctual at all with her appointments. The very first time I booked an appointment with her she let me know an hour prior to our appointment that she was going to have to reschedule due to her child having an appointment. I didn't mind the inconvenience because last minute things can occur and I did proceed with rescheduling another appointment. On the day of the appointment she texted me 2 minutes prior our scheduled appointment to let me know she was arriving late due to her babysitter running late once again I didn't mind. Again I decided to book with her despite all the inconveniences and gave it another shot. I showed up 20 minutes early to my appointment just to make sure I arrived on time. I take highly in consideration people's time. I scheduled a month ago an appointment at 9 am, walk up to the salon at 9 am sharp to find it closed. I wait 7 minutes and I finally decide to text her just to see where she is at or if she is running late, just for her to let me know that the app where I booked had a glitch and was giving her the wrong times and that she was currently in modesto and that she wouldn't be there til 10. I mentioned that I was already at the salon waiting, she replied she was at a doctor's appointment and that she wouldn't get to the salon til 10 and her apologies. She mentions that I can either reschedule or cancel as if waiting for a whole hour was nothing. I was in very desperate need of getting my hair done and I had an event to attend to but enough is enough! I'm beyond disgusted and disappointed with people not taking accountability for their actions. If it would of been the other way around im pretty sure I would of had to pay a late fee or something or perhaps would of been bashed on social media like some hairstylist talk about their customers. Offering to buy me a Starbucks drink for the inconvenience just isn't enough! COMMUNICATION is key and I feel some of the staff lacks it! I wonder if I wouldnt have reached out would she have left me waiting for that whole hour or more?? So let me start my review by stating I love how clean and inviting the salon is. The staff is professional and lovely. I came here for Edith, she's an amazing hairstylist and an even better person. However, the way this salon and Edith book clients is very flawed. I shouldn't have to wait over 2 weeks to get a response about an appointment. I texted Edith and the salon about booking an appointment 2 weeks ago, and before that I was looking forward to coloring my hair there too before going out of town, but when I didn't get a response in time I just found someone else. I hated going to someone else but what was I supposed to do? They need to get a receptionist who books all the clients for them on an online system. Taking texts from everyone doesn't seem to be working and honestly it's extremely unprofessional. I'll probably go back but only if I feel like this issue is resolved, but until then I'll find someone else. read more
