I had an appointment with Angela Rocha on 10/04/25 and paid a $50 deposit beforehand. At the end of my appointment, I paid $350. After I paid, Angela admitted she overcharged me by $50 because she forgot about my deposit and said she'd refund it later. On 10/08, I followed up with my payment info to remind her. Instead of refunding me, Angela said she would apply it toward my next appointment, claiming it would count as a "deposit." I never agreed to that, and she never asked for a deposit when booking my next appointment. It was her mistake to forget, and it doesn't suddenly make my overpayment a "nonrefundable deposit." | later canceled my next appointment and politely asked again for the refund, but she refused--continuing to hide behind her "nonrefundable deposit" policy for money that was never a deposit to begin with. Angela chose to keep my money knowing it was an overcharge, which says everything about her professionalism. On top of that, the work itself was honestly really bad. I was embarrassed to even put my hair up because of how it looked. The blending is uneven and patchy, and it just looks unfinished (you can see it in the photo). She did mention I could reach out within a week if I wasn't happy, but she knew I was going out of town for the next two weeks, so that wasn't really an option for me. She couldn't find certain tools. 3. Was there for over 3 hours 4. She was mixing some weird powder right in front of me which was meant to be for my highlights 5. The attitude in this salon is very 2000s. It's 2022, the beauty industry/services has changed dramatically to make the customer feel comfortable. I came in to ask about some services and pricing for my hair and made an appointment - but thankfully cancelled because it didn't feel right. OK so let me tell you about this place I am extremely satisfied this was my first time ever getting my hair highlighted and bleached, and Norma did a phenomenal job. I am extremely amazed I got my hair done about two weeks ago from now, and my hair has healed very well I have no breakage and the color is perfect still. I'm not sure what even possessed me to make the decision to come here, but I wish I hadn't. I typically go to the beauty school, since my hair is already on the shorter side (barely touches the top of my shoulders) and it's thin, I never ask for anything crazy complicated. I thought, it's your birthday week, treat yourself to a salon haircut! REGRET. I specially came in with a few photos and said I didn't mind cutting it a little shorter since my ends were thin and I wanted to create some volume. I was turned around for most of the cut, so I couldn't really see what was being done. I internally panicked when I felt a trimmer buzzing to the back of my neck. I knew right there that it was going to bad...and there was no going back since she already started shaving. She turned me around and I was horrified. Absolutely god awful. Instead of freaking out at the salon, I knew I needed to leave before I caused a damn scene. When she asked if I liked it, I said "Well, it's most definitely way to short!". As I go to pay, I'm told they don't take debit or credit cards. So I have to use the atm machine which has a $2 fee. Ridiculous. I paid, and walked to my car. I got into my car, and started crying. I've never felt more insecure, and right before my 30th birthday. Thank god I did my photoshoot last week. I would NOT recommend this place, unless there are other stylists there that actually listen to their clients. I don't understand how they are highly rated at all. read more

Ok, so just to clarify...I'm only giving En Vogue 4 stars because every time I've gone in before today, I felt that my haircut was very mediocre for the price that I was paying (a really light trim was $20) but aside from all of those other mediocre trips, I want to give Kelly 5 stars as an individual employee! I called in today to make a same day appointment and she was open to do highlights, a cut, and style for me. I brought a picture with me so that she'd have an idea as to what I was aiming for and she was very enthusiastic about it! She was very reaffirming and supportive about my choice which made me feel much more comfortable considering this was the very first time I had ever dyed my hair (I'm allowed to be anxious for my virgin hair!) Anyway, she was really charismatic and was a joy to work with while undergoing this long process. I love how my hair turned out and Kelly was awesome when it came to asking questions to know exactly how I wanted something and was very accurate. The girl who cut my hair didn't take her time at all. I'm very disappointed. Ive never had a haircut make me feel sad before but she really chopped my hair and then tried to curl it. I don't use heat on my hair at all so I think it's pretty unacceptable that she started curling it without me asking her to. Then she asked me if I just wanted to see what it looked like when it dried down. That confused me because I went in the salon with clean dry hair and she didn't spray my hair not once. My hair was really healthy and now I feel it is cut so poorly that it looks choppy and unhealthy . I get haircuts so it's healthy, I don't understand why she would curl the ends of my hair... omg, terrible, horrible, and very unprofessional stylist maria. I schedule the appt a week ago and send her pictures of my actual hair right now. the date of my appointment I arrived coming from Stockton to Modesto took me 30 minutes to get there and she was working on other clients and had to wait for 15 minutes. After that, I've asked her if she was running late or if she wanted to come later but she was so rude to say that my hair was so compromised that she can refer me out to see someone else. I've wastes all morning for her to say that. This salon is wonderful. I've been going to them for a few years now. I've had a chance to work with all the stylists, and they are all very good. However, Norma handles my extensions, color, and straightener, and Cassie washes and styles my hair twice a week. Thanks to them, my hair is fabulous! Now, my kids go to the salon. My teenage son, who is very particular, loves his haircuts. My daughters love theirs, too. The Salon takes walk-ins, and also keeps my appointments. I highly recommend it! read more
