I absolutely love the salon and all the stylists there! They are all so kind, friendly, and welcoming. A super healthy work environment which makes it even better for the clients! They also have a variety of different services including hair, nails, and permanent jewelry. Every time I have gone there it's been and amazing vibe the music is fun and the stylist make you feel so comfortable and talk like we've been friends for years ! I've been going to Laura for about 5 years now! I was reaching out to different styles and Laura was very attentive informative and responded to me in a timely fashion. I went to Laura wanting extensions and having no clue about the different types of extensions the lengths etc. She set me up with a consultation and she thoroughly went through everything with me and was super helpful I began with 18inch I-tip extensions to now having 22 inch I-tip extensions! Booking thru the link on IG was not the best I originally scheduled a Sunday appointment because the app let me, but I realized it was Easter & decided to confirm salon would be open & rightfully soo they were closed so I was able to reschedule to Sat. Which ended up working out for me. Upon arrival easy parking and was friendly greeted. Then hairstylist came to meet me. I told her I wanted to cover grays and a baby trim, she suggested I get a round cut to get rid of dead ends and mentioned my hair had been previously cut unevenly, I appreciate the honesty. Anyway trim happened, dye happened all was well until post style blow out was not ideal I washed me hair next day and was a tad bit disappointed with how short it was but Im trying to convince myself Strength over length. I absolutely love this salon. Walking in it is super clean and chic! The vibe is so immaculate. They have music playing. Customers are happy. The works are smiling and interacting. They sell fun stuff on the display cabinets like jewelry. Glasses. Hair brushes. Etc They also have a nail, and wax / facial esthetician in house. I have been going to Laura for almost 3 or so years now she is amazing when it comes to anything hair related, Melissa as well! I had a terrible experience at this salon. I saw a nail tech named Reina Perales for the first time. My appointment was at 9:00 am. The nail tech didn't show up until 9:10 and we didn't get started until 9:20. She spent 3.5 hours on just the application of my nails. In this 3.5 hours she was incessantly wiping my skin with monomer. When she finally started painting my nails, she kept wiping my fingers with acetone. I have a chemical burn on most of my fingers and the skin is badly damaged. I have a cut from the nail file on my thumb and ring finger that is really bad and painful. She charged me $105for my nails that looked nothing like my inspiration pictures. She rushed through the design and the chrome was an awful mess. I was at the salon from 9 am to 1:37 pm. When I told her I wouldn't have enough time to do my toes, she charged me a cancellation fee. The policy that was posted on ig stated a cancellation fee would be charged if not notified one day or three days prior. The only reason I wasn't able to do my toes was because she took so long on my hands and the design was so bad. I am diabetic and couldn't stay another 4 hours without eating food. After I left the salon my fingers started hurting incredibly bad. I have a chemical burn from the monomer and acetone on most of my fingers and my skin is cracking. I don't think she even has proper licensing to apply acrylic nails. When she would apply the acrylic to my cuticle area, she would wipe the brush over my skin on my cuticle and the sides of my fingers when she was shaping. When she painted my nails she got gel all over my skin. I've never had a nail tech wipe the top coat with their glove before and then touch the sides of my fingers. I am a pretty patient person... but after I had her cut them down the next day, I asked for a refund and she told me she would talk to the salon owner. A few days later, she messaged me saying that they won't be able to offer a refund because product was used and a service was provided. It's really bad business to take 4.5 hours after you were LATE to my appointment and then charge me a cancellation fee. It's even more insulting to basically tell me you wouldn't charge me a second cancellation fee because I didn't want to have you working on my hands or feet after how bad my skin is damaged. I'm really disappointed. I just wanted to feel pretty and I figured any girl would understand where I am coming from. It's very sad how damaged my fingertips are. I won't be able to get my nails done for a long time until my fingers heal. She cut me really bad with the nail file and in combination with the chemical burn, the skin is dry and cracking. My response to the owner is that you know dang well if she took 3.5 hours just applying my nails and shaping them that she wasn't going to be done by 3:05 pm which is when my time frame would've ended. I wasn't going to stay another 4.5 hours for my feet. What a scam. She spent 30 minutes or so on just the design. The rest of the time was spent only on applying the acrylic and shaping. She cut me deep with the nail file. I've never had to mention I'm diabetic because I've never had a nail tech cut me this bad before. Your defense is that nail art takes longer but I know you see how bad the design is. It's a mess. The pictures speak for themselves. I couldn't let you know 48 hours ahead of time because I wasn't expecting her to take 4.5 hours on these ugly nails lol. Genuinely why would I stick around for 4.5 more hours? Worst salon and highly unprofessional. I don't need to consult with my doctor to get my nails done as I take care of myself just fine. You need to consult with your nail tech about cutting people with a file and wiping acetone and monomer on their skin. read more
