I had excellent service. I did not understand the fees and totals were more than I like. More than what I do for Salon Salon. Just like all places it took hours for treatments. My hair now barely goes into a ponytail because the hairstylist was not confident enough to say she needed help although the owner walked by her multiple times and seen what she was doing. Called ahead to take my daughter in for a haircut, was advised only one person had availability and that they could help us after her appointment. We arrived at 4:20pm and let the person in front know she needed a haircut & a specific stylist said she could do it. So we waited. It was 4:50pm & someone else came in (also as a walk in- but didn't call ahead) & was helped immediately. I asked how much longer for my daughter since we had already waited 30 minutes & they helped someone else as soon as they got there & i was told "you asked for that specific stylist& she's almost done." I let her know that upon calling she was the only one who SUPPOSEDLY had availability. My daughter just needed her hair cut, i didn't even care by who. We waited an additional 10 minutes for the other stylist to be done and do my daughters hair. Decent hair cut, but not at all worth the wait or lack of professionalism. As a walk in who called ahead, there's no reason for them to help other walk ins prior to us. Horrible and unprofessional business practice. read more

I messaged Meli on Instagram asking her how much a child's haircut was and she said $22. Then I called to make a appointment and the lady over the phone told me $35 to $40. I still agree with the appt. Then we go to the appointment and we ask how much and she tells us $60. Like how did it change three times...? At that point its ridiculous. We walked out. I came in today for a haircut ‍ for long layers and I loved it. I been going to different hair salons in Modesto and no one can ever get the long layers just right. I know I have thick, wavy, weird hair lol but Meli got it right. My hair looks healthier and bouncy. I'm glad I got my layers back and she did a great job. I'd give it a zero if it was possible. It's difficult finding a person who really knows what they are doing and actually gives you a good haircut. Kistina is amazing. She is a color genius, and really cares about the quality of your hair. I always leave her chair with the results I want. My hair always looks healthy no matter what she does to it. She's really good at giving you post treatments too. And for some reason, my hair grows really fast when she cuts it for me. Love her! I love the salon, had hair done there many times.. But this time around I was with Jamie, and I hate my cut!! Wanted it shoulder length she gave me sum kinda bob & used sum shears to add "texture" to back of my hair & just completely butchered it! This was my first time at evolution salon and it will not be my last. The customer service is superb and the results from my reverse balyage was incredible. Kistina is extremely gifted, I knew she was good because of people who have gone to her. I scheduled an appointment and drove my butt from San Leandro to Ceres and it was so definitely worth it. My reverse balyage is so beautiful. I have never gone to a salon who actually did exactly what I asked, the photo I showed her looked exactly as my hair does. I went for an up do the lady did a very bad job, it lasted about 2 hours and then it just came down. It was also so ugly. Had a makeup appt. the same day the girl who does their makeup when it was almost my turn she started doing another girls makeup, so at the end I came out of the salon with ugly hair and no makeup. AWFUL service!!!!!!ive never done yelp reviews but the service was so awful I wish I could give this place a zero star review, I went in with Jessica for a balayage and a trim and I walked out with different color patches, beyond repair bleached hair to the point where all of my hair was falling out in large amounts, a "trim" turned into bangs and shoulder length hair that by the way was unevenly cut. Not only did they ruin my hair but they also blamed it on me saying it was because of the color I put in before, them knowing this the correct thing to have done was to do a strand test and they didn't!!!! Worse salon ever!!! I have never been more disappointed!! I was there for a color and peek a boos nothing hard to do! Brought a picture in of an idea of how I wanted my hair to look like yet they managed to do a complete disaster on my hair!! I complained, spoke to the owner and refused to pay argued and ended up paying and had my hair supposedly fixed the next day! Same bs my hair is again a complete mess not to mention the stress of dealing with the employees attitude! I do not recommend this salon at all if I could I wouldn't even give them one star. Love this salon. My hair stylist is Jamie. She always does an amazing job. The ladies in the salon are very nice, down to earth & professional. Like I said my hair always comes out exactly how I ask (and I'm really picky I don't let any body do my hair) this is the only salon I'll go to. The price is super fair for everything you get.
