Large menu of great food offerings! Comfortable sports bar feel with friendly and professional servers. Cassie was great this afternoon, Michael was very friendly asking about our experience with dinner. Several beers on tap, many local brews to choose from. Get the big mug if you're thirsty, the thick glass keeps the beer cold! We had the green chili burger and the steakhouse burger, with fries and coleslaw. Burgers had a lot of flavor, very good, and the fries were super crisp and nicely seasoned. The slaw was good, not overly sweet. Recommend for a casual dinner and drink spot. I met a friend for lunch at Trident Grill today. I wasn't expecting much, since I had read that it had "mostly bar food". I was pleasantly surprised by the choices. We ordered the fish tacos platter and an Asian chicken salad. Both dishes were really good. There was plenty of fish on the tacos and plenty of chicken on the salad. Our server was great, periodically checking on our food and drinks. I'll definitely be back. read more

An A-okay spot for a beer and some food. If you're interested in watching football, any of the Trident locations are cool. I have now been to all four locations at one time or another. I'm glad they have one on the west side of town now. The servers I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Granted, vaccines are wider spread now and staff masks up, but there is no distancing going on at all. If that bothers you, don't come during happy hour time as it is pretty busy. I may be ordering the wrong things, but I've never been all that impressed by Trident's food, at any location. I shared chicken tenders and pretzels with a friend for happy hour. Meh? Everything was just okay. Chicken tenders were hot and seemed to be made in house, though they were more of a patty shape, but whatevs. Cheese sauce with pretzels was really bland. Mustard didn't seem to be made in house, like something store-bought. They have a great tap list, seemed better than some of their other locations. This is one of my favorite spots for casual dining. Before yesterday I would have give it five stars, but the fried fish both my wife and a friend had was dry and overcooked. We really should have sent it back, and the very good waitress offered to take it off the bill but I declined. This is just bad prep. My guess is the fish was either sitting around or left over. Great beer and great food selection! Wanted food to taste better but a bit disappointed in a few dishes. The fish and chips looked amazing coming out and so many people were ordering them. My husband and I both got burgers. He got the one with onion rings on it with sauce on the side. He chose the Mac n cheese to go with, and it wasn't anything spectacular. I got the steakhouse burger, and while I love both blue cheese and horseradish sauce, the balsamic drowned them out and ruined the burger. I did upgrade to the Gumbo, which was definitely worth it. They had many items from which to choose including burgers, salads, steak, wing, tacos, and fish and chips. Waited 20 minutes for a table. Not all that bad but, so disappointed with the loud noise. We could barely have a conversation due to how loud it was. Other people were seated after us and received meals before us. The waitress barely stopped by to give refills and then a male worker with a Trjdent shirt walked up and told us that they messed up on our nachos and were remaking them so it would be another 5 minutes. (We asked for nachos with beef. Not anything out of the ordinary). They were waiting on the burger so they could come out together. 1. The nachos came out and they were awful. I can't fathom how one can mess up nachos but, things happen. The nachos came out "fixed" and had chicken on them mixed with beef and it looked like rather then remaking the nachos they just picked the chicken off. Not to leave out that the broiler burned them and it was still brought to the table. 2. The burger we ordered was over cooked and not medium at all. 3. While we were waiting for our meal we could see a man working the food/cooking line and was chewing food while prepping food. Not really sure what he was chewing but, it was definitely something from the station. 4. Within 1 hour after the meal my stomach started hurting and has not stopped since. I won't assume but, I do have to associate this meal as the contributor because I have not eaten anything since the morning and the gut issues happened before even leaving here. Just be careful if you do eat here. I am not sure what's going on behind the cook area but I do have questions with seeing cooking staff eating while cooking. It's sad because this is the first time we have been to this restaurant and wanted to give it a good review. It's located in the NW side of town and convenient for us. I have been to all of the Trident locations in town and I like them. This was just a bad experience though. I came on a Sunday evening to watch Sunday Night Football. The bar was understaffed - the lone bartender was out of her depth. I didn't get served for a full 10 minutes after arriving, so I reached over the bar top to get my own menu, and the long waits continued for the rest of my visit. Then 75% of the TVs were blank screens (since the earlier games had ended) and the remaining 25% were showing local news/weather. These latter ones were connected to the audio in the building, so everyone was just listening to the forecast for the week - a real mood-crusher for a sports bar. This went on for about 15-20 minutes. So I asked if they could at least change the one connected to audio to the pregame show. I got attitude from the bartender and snarky comments from an off-shift employee sitting at the bar (spoken to the bartender, but in response to my request, so directed at me). A couple tips to the "sports" bar: - Have sports on your TV - a novel idea, I know (and make sure the employees know how to work the remote). - Don't have your employees sitting at the bar after their shift drinking, vaping, flirting with other employees, and making smartass comments to your patrons. - Make sure you have enough bartenders staffed on NFL Sundays... at a sports bar!! Love the other Trident locations, but disappointed with this one. read more
